A Power Point I created as pro bono work for a not-for-profit which did and does great work but lacked discipline and focus. I completed a communications audit for them and this was my presentation and recommendation. Hope any part of it may help other organizations - even the for profit. The simpler you can get, the more associates will understand and row together.
Games are powerful. People can spend a lot of time playing games. Games are also great motivators. People do things that don´t even like, if they feel like they are playing game. Gamififcation is the use of game mechanics to motivate people to do stuff they generally would not do.
Playing can also be very good of your brain and give you useful skills. In this lecture we explore some of the elements of gamification and why you should don´t worry about playing computer games.
How can an industry that places empathy at the core of its practice ignore the big problems facing South Africa and the continent? In a rapidly changing design landscape will UX designers even be relevant in the future? UX designers exist at a unique interdisciplinary juncture and it gives us the opportunity to create inspiring responses to these questions. With the maturity of design thinking, social innovation, and lean startup, we are uniquely placed to re-apply our skills to find new relevance and greater impact in doing work that matters. But taking action is not easy, even if it can be known what is to be done. In this talk David will explore the new mindsets, skills and attitudes UX designers need to adopt to shift from merely doing design to becoming design activists.

Creating effective ammunition in the battle for attentionicoEx
In an age where we can watch our favourite shows on the way to work, share images instantly and carry the worlds knowledge in our pockets, how do companies get at that most precious of commodities, our time?
The simple answer is that there's no simple answer. But there are ways of thinking that can help to unearth unexpected and engaging outcomes. We've been working in digital with museums and galleries for over 10 years to help make noticeable and memorable stories out of educational content. We've now started to bring this mix of behavioural psychology and awareness of current and cutting edge technologies to retail and agencies. We shared some of our thinking on attention, behavior and technology at a lunchtime talk for Start JudgeGill.

Hours” exercise. To test their creativity, content generating
prowess, collaborative skills and ability to think fast, I asked
students in Strategic Creative Development (a course at Boston
University’s College of Communication) to conceive, write,
sketch and produce this little ebook in three hours. Give or
take a couple of minutes. They had no idea where it would
take them or how they would get there. But here it is. Some
thoughts about who they are as a generation, how they’ve

First Launched in 2019, this digital wellness collaborative paper aims to have a positive impact on people like us who went through a wake-up call and are trying to make a change in the ultra-connected society we live in by joining forces with thoughtful leaders in the community.
The format is very easy to digest as it brings personal perspectives from top leaders and pioneers in the industry. We carefully selected a diverse and enriching group of people from tech engineers, mindfulness teachers, and entrepreneurs, to therapists, artists, writers, and retreat owners, and asked them to share some tips and inspire the community. Along with their recommendations, this year we launched our #TechSatire series; a parody of the everyday use of technology in our modern society. These pieces of entertainment showcase realistic and socially acceptable situations, which, in reality, are often quite paradoxical. Perhaps, then, tech is not as simple and flawless as how it was sold to us.

Vorhaben gilt: „Cash is King“ – sie müssen sich also rechnen.

PwC Switzerland

14. And tomorrow ...?
The possibilities of digital technologies are infi-
nite. Moreover, beyond the growing capabili-
ties of numerical intelligence, a very promising
trend in the digital world is in my opinion the
facilitated exploitation of collective wisdom.
Via for example crowdsourcing and crowd-
funding platforms, it connects and empowers
people from all around the world, offering
them more creativity, impact and innovative
capabilities.
