Universal Design for Instruction (UDI) aims to make classrooms accessible to all students by reducing physical, cognitive, and organizational barriers in lessons, materials, and assessments. It can be implemented in every classroom to address rigid curriculums not designed for all learners, minimizing the need for accommodations while increasing access to learning. Examples of UDI include making the class climate, interactions, environment, delivery methods, resources, feedback, and assessments flexible and accessible to a wide range of student skills.
