I've been a lecturer in business studies all my life and now educate corporate learners but I can only tell you the mechanics of it. If you want ot have your own business, you need to take this information and tweak it and be creative with it. There's no such rule book that can give you a readymade formula to succeed in business. Business is more of an art than science because every entrepreneur brings their own natural beauty of execution into it.
That being said, one of my favorite entrepreneur heroes of all time is Gary Vaynerchuck, the CEO of @Vaynermedia. I've put together this slideshow including my favorite quotes from his YouTube show- the #DailyVee Show.

The trouble around difference is really about privilege and power—the existence of privilege
and the lopsided distribution of power that keeps it going. The trouble is rooted in a legacy we all
inherited, and while we’re here, it belongs to us. It isn’t our fault. It wasn’t caused by something we did
or didn’t do. But now it’s all ours, it’s up to us to decide how we’re going to deal with it before we
collectively pass it along to the generations that will follow ours.
Talking about power and privilege isn’t easy, which is why people rarely do. The reason for this
omission seems to be a great fear of anything that might make whites or males or heterosexuals
uncomfortable or “pit groups against each other,”1 even though groups are already pitted against one
another by the structures of privilege that organize society as a whole. The fear keeps people from
looking at what’s going on and makes it impossible to do anything about the reality that lies deeper
down, so that they can move toward the kind of world that would be better for everyone.
Difference Is Not the Problem
Ignoring privilege keeps us in a state of unreality, by promoting the illusion the difference by
itself is the problem. In some ways, of course, it can be a problem when people try to work together
across cultural divides that set groups up to think and do things their own way. But human beings have
been overcoming such divides for thousands of years as a matter of routine. The real illusion connected
to difference is the popular assumption that people are naturally afraid of what they don’t know or
understand. This supposedly makes it inevitable that you’ll fear and distrust people who aren’t like you
and, in spite of your good intentions, you’ll find it all but impossible to get along with them.
For all its popularity, the idea that everyone is naturally frightened by difference is a cultural
myth that, more than anything, justifies keeping outsiders on the outside and treating them badly if
they happen to get in. The mere fact that something is new or strange isn’t enough to make us afraid of
it. When Europeans first came to North America, for example, they weren’t terribly afraid of the people
they encountered, and the typical Native American response was to welcome these astonishingly
“different” people with open arms (much to their later regret). Scientists, psychotherapists, inventors,
novelists (and their fans), explorers, philosophers, spiritualists, anthropologists, and the just plain
curious are all drawn to the mystery of what they don’t know. Even children—probably the most
vulnerable form that people come in—seem to love the unknown, which is why parents are always
worrying about what their toddler has gotten into now.

or didn’t do. But now it’s all ours, it’s up to us to decide how we’re going to deal with it before we
collectively pass it along to the generations that will follow ours.
Talking about power and privilege isn’t easy, which is why people rarely do. The reason for this
omission seems to be a great fear of anything that might make whites or males or heterosexuals
uncomfortable or “pit groups against each other,”1 even though groups are already pitted against one
another by the structures of privilege that organize society as a whole. The fear keeps people from
looking at what’s going on and makes it impossible to do anything about the reality that lies deeper
down, so that they can move toward the kind of world that would be better for everyone.
Difference Is Not the Problem
Ignoring privilege keeps us in a state of unreality, by promoting the illusion the difference by
itself is the problem. In some ways, of course, it can be a problem when people try to work together
across cultural divides that set groups up to think and do things their own way. But human beings have
been overcoming such divides for thousands of years as a matter of routine. The real illusion connected
to difference is the popular assumption that people are naturally afraid of what they don’t know or
understand. This supposedly makes it inevitable that you’ll fear and distrust people who aren’t like you
and, in spite of your good intentions, you’ll find it all but impossible to get along with them.
For all its popularity, the idea that everyone is naturally frightened by difference is a cultural
myth that, more than anything, justifies keeping outsiders on the outside and treating them badly if
they happen to get in. The mere fact that something is new or strange isn’t enough to make us afraid of
it. When Europeans first came to North America, for example, they weren’t terribly afraid of the people
they encountered, and the typical Native American response was to welcome these astonishingly
“different” people with open arms (much to their later regret). Scientists, psychotherapists, inventors,
novelists (and their fans), explorers, philosophers, spiritualists, anthropologists, and the just plain
curious are all drawn to the mystery of what they don’t know. Even children—probably the most
vulnerable form that people come in—seem to love the unknown, which is why parents are always
worrying about what their toddler has gotten into now.

When Tina Turner first bitterly asked “What’s love got to do with it?” her voice was so drenched
with pain and regret, the listener knew better than to believe her.
Not so Meredith Small. A physical anthropologist whose main research has been on primate
mating behavior, Small joins a coterie of such writers as Robert Ardrey, Desmond Morris and
Lionel Tiger, who have sought to make evolutionary biology the foundation of studies of sexual
behavior.
In “What’s Love Got To Do With It,” Small argues that we’re genetically programmed to
experience sexual pleasure; hard-wired to search for young, attractive mates; driven to copulate
“Way down deep, underneath all the love and lust, underlying the attachment and intimacy, is
DNA pushing us along”
Like those male writers, she claims that our genetic predisposition toward reproductive success is
the driving force of our sex-seeking behavior. And like them, she assumes that sex is a constant,
universal and relatively unchanging experience. But unlike them, Small places no value on
judgments on the strategies that individuals may adopt to achieve that reproductive success.
Women, she argues, are as sexual as men; homosexuality is as “normal” as heterosexuality.
Small exposes many of her colleagues’ conclusions as based more on myth than on evolution.
Take, for example, the familiar canard that men are “naturally” predisposed toward promiscuity,
while women are “naturally” monogamous. Males’ prodigious sperm production, the argument
goes, means that it is in men’s interest to fertilize as many women as possible. But women
produce only one egg at a time, and gestation and child care take an extraordinarily long time,
which means that it is in their interest to mate with only one man for life.
Not only do such arguments assume what they are trying to explain, but their assumptions are
wrong to begin with. Sperm and eggs do not have little personalities, complete with ambitions
and motivations. What’s more, the evidence actually tilts the other way. Female humans are
among the only mammals who conceal estrus; that is, they do not go into “heat” when they are
sexually receptive. They are potentially sexually receptive all through their cycle. What’s more, a
woman has a clitoris, which “exists only to receive and give off sexual pleasure.” What could be
the evolutionary function of that?
Small argues that it is just as likely that women may be designed to maximize their reproductive
chances by promiscuity. If they have sex with a large number of male partners, they can ensure
that their offspring will have a significant number of men who believe that they are the father,
and who will, therefore, protect the baby and provide it with food.
“The ability to move from male to male certainly improves a female’s chance of finding the best
genes for her future offspring,” Small writes.

- 2. On a deep and fundamental level, it's easy to see what women want, and what men want.
- 3. Look back into our long evolutionary history, and it becomes pretty obvious.
- 4. Women want a strong, confident, socially comfortable man to lead.
- 5. Men want a supportive, loyal, feminine woman to stand behind him.
- 6. Sure, this sounds very old school, very anti-feminist, very anti-modern and empowered.
- 7. But consider the vast majority of human history, where our instincts and gender roles were pretty much set.
- 8. Men went out every day and hunted.
- 9. Took risks, found new places to live, and pretty much built all the tools of society.
- 10. Women stayed behind while the men were hunting, and gathered.
- 11. They took care of the kids.
- 12. They got roots, nuts, other food in case the men got skunked.
- 13. Scientists tell us that this "sexual diversification of labor" was one of the main drivers of our evolutionary success.
- 14. In all other mammals, both men and women searched for the same type of food.
- 15. Because humans looked for different food between men and women, we could live in twice as many places.
- 16. This is also why men are good at some things, while women are good at others.
- 17. Men have narrow, long range vision, for example.
- 18. Women have short, very wide vision.
- 19. One is good for hunting, the other is good for gathering while watching kids at the same time.
- 20. Men don't talk much, women talk all the time.
- 22. How does this translate to the modern dating scene?
- 23. On a deep level, she wants you to lead the way.
- 24. She wants to follow you.
- 25. But if you assume she SHOULD follow you, you're in for a surprise.
- 26. Sadly, many "men" today are simply not worthy of being followed.
- 27. Are you?
- 28. When you make a decision, do you immediately take action, or do you wait to make sure it's OK?
- 29. If you are on a date, for example, this is the worst thing you can do.
- 30. Ask your date if your decision is OK.
- 31. Now, you don't want to be rude, but you also don't want to radiate a sense of weakness, and lean on her to call the shots.
- 32. In the very early stages, this means you MUST lead in all aspects.
- 33. You MUST be the one who approaches.
- 34. You MUST be the one who carries the conversation.
- 35. You MUST be the one to set the first get together.
- 36. Will she follow?
- 38. The ones that don't follow simply aren't into you.
- 39. Let them slide.
- 40. But the ones that do follow you are the ones you're after.
- 41. Start leading, and see who follows.
- 42. That will tell you everything you need to know.
