This document provides Newton's three laws of motion and examples of each law. Students are asked to fill in missing words in descriptions of the laws and identify which law applies to different examples. Newton's first law states that an object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and direction unless acted on by an unbalanced force. The second law concerns the relationship between force, mass and acceleration. The third law states that for every force exerted on one object by another, the first object exerts an equal and opposite force on the second object.
