– Thoroughly walking your child through the process of writing and publishing
their own book.
– To offer tutoring to your child by helping them comprehend what their reading.

3. Curriculum Goals
• Explain to each student how to develop a good storyline.
• After developing a good storyline, we will create an outline.
• The outline is important but we need characters. We will walk your
child through the process of how to identify and create their
characters.
• We will then start writing, followed by various marketing plans.

4. What will my child gain from this?
• First and foremost they will become a published author.
• They will understand the importance of thinking outside the box.
• By stepping away from the electronics, they will be able to expand their
mind.
• Writing encourages children to express themselves in a positive way.

front of the television.

6. Who have When Children Write helped?
• The creator of When Children Write Leslie, helped her son when he was
in the 5th grade to write his own book.
• When Children Write is currently in three different schools as an after
school program.
• At the end of the first program (December 2018) When Children Write
would have developed 68 authors through the after school program.
• We’re teaching children at a young age to be an author and
entrepreneur. Imagine that on a college application.
