1. DON’T… SPAM COMMENT 
Sometimes spamming helps improve your Search 
Ranking, I accept it. But not all the time, not for a 
long term goal, not for a reputed business. It may 
work for a particular period of time but later on 
you may have to remove all spam links you piled 
up. Sometimes you can remove them, while at 
other times you may not be able to do so. This 
will ruin your website in next Google Algorithm 
update. So, stop doing it.
DO… GUEST BLOGGING, GENUINE 
COMMENTS 
The whole Google SERPS has changed after the 
silent release of Hummingbird Algorithm. After it 
took effect, the following should be taken care of: 
1. Guest Blogging in target niche (with high PR). 
2. Genuine Commenting, which should be more 
useful to readers and relevant to the topic.
2. DON’T… STUFF IN KEYWORDS 
Say your target keyword is “KPN Travels”; in this case, don’t stuff 
the same target keyword in your on-page content. You can have 
your keyword density up to 3-4%. 
Also, while during the process of link building via commenting on 
other niche websites, don’t stuff in your keyword more than once 
into it.
DO… USE LSI (LATENT SEMANTIC INDEXING) 
KEYWORDS 
Yeah! I mentioned Semantic Keyword Stuffing. Semantic means 
“Meaningful”. Keeping this in view, create a list of semantically 
relevant keywords for your keyword in focus and try to stuff your 
content with those semantic keywords. In this case, you can 
leverage the keyword density up to 7-8%.
3. DON’T… SPEND MORE TIME ON ALL SOCIAL 
MEDIA PLATFORMS 
Another big mistake is doing everything manually. Avoid 
spending all your time on business Social Media profiles. Choose 
a good 3rd party Social Media Management tool like Hootsuite, 
SproutSocial etc. to engage with your social profiles and active 
followers. Also, you can evaluate this accurately from the user 
activity and engagement timings.
DO… FIND THE RIGHT SOCIAL MEDIA FOR 
YOUR BUSINESS 
First, find the right Social Media 
platform for your business. If it’s 
B2B type, you can go for Twitter 
and LinkedIn, and if it’s B2C you 
can go for Facebook, Google+, etc. 
It all depends on the business you 
are engaged in.
4. DON’T… BROADCAST THE SAME MESSAGE 
ACROSS ALL SOCIAL MEDIA CHANNELS 
If your business is contributing to all major social media profiles 
like Facebook Page, Google+, Twitter, LinkedIn etc., you should 
not post the same description of the product which you want to 
market. This is because your customers may also be active on 
multiple social media accounts.
DO… MIX UP THE SAME MESSAGE A ‘LITTLE’ 
Even if you want to promote the same product across all your 
social media accounts, it is a good idea for you to mix it up a little. 
This will make it less uniform and predictable. This is because a 
certain section of your audience might follow you on multiple 
sites.
5. DON’T… GO FOR QUANTITY 
You should not always expect a large audience towards your 
product all of a sudden. It will push you down. Be sober and 
patient, and go working on your project with a proper action plan.
DO… BUILD QUALITY AUDIENCE. 
Yeah! We need only quality. It’s better to have a smaller audience, 
and turn them into active followers of your product. This will 
transform them from the regular reader to the money-spending 
customer.

  • 2. 1. DON’T… SPAM COMMENT Sometimes spamming helps improve your Search Ranking, I accept it. But not all the time, not for a long term goal, not for a reputed business. It may work for a particular period of time but later on you may have to remove all spam links you piled up. Sometimes you can remove them, while at other times you may not be able to do so. This will ruin your website in next Google Algorithm update. So, stop doing it.
  • 3. DO… GUEST BLOGGING, GENUINE COMMENTS The whole Google SERPS has changed after the silent release of Hummingbird Algorithm. After it took effect, the following should be taken care of: 1. Guest Blogging in target niche (with high PR). 2. Genuine Commenting, which should be more useful to readers and relevant to the topic.
  • 4. 2. DON’T… STUFF IN KEYWORDS Say your target keyword is “KPN Travels”; in this case, don’t stuff the same target keyword in your on-page content. You can have your keyword density up to 3-4%. Also, while during the process of link building via commenting on other niche websites, don’t stuff in your keyword more than once into it.
  • 5. DO… USE LSI (LATENT SEMANTIC INDEXING) KEYWORDS Yeah! I mentioned Semantic Keyword Stuffing. Semantic means “Meaningful”. Keeping this in view, create a list of semantically relevant keywords for your keyword in focus and try to stuff your content with those semantic keywords. In this case, you can leverage the keyword density up to 7-8%.
  • 6. 3. DON’T… SPEND MORE TIME ON ALL SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS Another big mistake is doing everything manually. Avoid spending all your time on business Social Media profiles. Choose a good 3rd party Social Media Management tool like Hootsuite, SproutSocial etc. to engage with your social profiles and active followers. Also, you can evaluate this accurately from the user activity and engagement timings.
  • 7. DO… FIND THE RIGHT SOCIAL MEDIA FOR YOUR BUSINESS First, find the right Social Media platform for your business. If it’s B2B type, you can go for Twitter and LinkedIn, and if it’s B2C you can go for Facebook, Google+, etc. It all depends on the business you are engaged in.
  • 8. 4. DON’T… BROADCAST THE SAME MESSAGE ACROSS ALL SOCIAL MEDIA CHANNELS If your business is contributing to all major social media profiles like Facebook Page, Google+, Twitter, LinkedIn etc., you should not post the same description of the product which you want to market. This is because your customers may also be active on multiple social media accounts.
  • 9. DO… MIX UP THE SAME MESSAGE A ‘LITTLE’ Even if you want to promote the same product across all your social media accounts, it is a good idea for you to mix it up a little. This will make it less uniform and predictable. This is because a certain section of your audience might follow you on multiple sites.
  • 10. 5. DON’T… GO FOR QUANTITY You should not always expect a large audience towards your product all of a sudden. It will push you down. Be sober and patient, and go working on your project with a proper action plan.
  • 11. DO… BUILD QUALITY AUDIENCE. Yeah! We need only quality. It’s better to have a smaller audience, and turn them into active followers of your product. This will transform them from the regular reader to the money-spending customer.
