Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a technology that allows voice communication over IP networks, like the internet. To use VoIP with analog devices, a gateway is required to convert analog signals to digital. Users can connect IP-enabled devices, such as PCs and mobile devices, directly to a router to make VoIP calls.
