When working on the local, state, or federal level, it is sometimes difficult to understand how globalization may impact the political landscape. For example, some argue that the pro-democracy movements in the Middle East were spurred on by social media tools such as Facebook and Twitter when traditional channels of communication were eliminated. Another example is the issue of hate speech, which is protected in the United States under the first amendment of the Constitution. In France, hate speech is illegal and punishable by fine or imprisonment. French citizens who wish to disregard the laws of their nation and spread hate on a global scale, need only set up a website through a U.S.-based Internet carrier to accomplish their goals. These examples illustrate both positive and negative effects of globalization on the global community at large and on those who occupy particular roles (candidate, head of agency, or nonprofit) such as those in the virtual community.

El Puerto de Algeciras continúa un año más como el más eficiente del continente europeo y vuelve a situarse en el “top ten” mundial, según el informe The Container Port Performance Index 2023 (CPPI), elaborado por el Banco Mundial y la consultora S&P Global.
El informe CPPI utiliza dos enfoques metodológicos diferentes para calcular la clasificación del índice: uno administrativo o técnico y otro estadístico, basado en análisis factorial (FA). Según los autores, esta dualidad pretende asegurar una clasificación que refleje con precisión el rendimiento real del puerto, a la vez que sea estadísticamente sólida. En esta edición del informe CPPI 2023, se han empleado los mismos enfoques metodológicos y se ha aplicado un método de agregación de clasificaciones para combinar los resultados de ambos enfoques y obtener una clasificación agregada.

- 3. • Current affairs revolve around happenings in different field related to • national, • international, • economy, • sports, • science and technology, • environment. • They also vary according to the scale of which these events occur, be it at national level, regional level or international level.

What to expect in this two years? • In this two years, active participants will get the chance to participate in model united nations conferences as well as current affairs quizzes, both of which help to improve one’s public speaking as well as increased global awareness ( yes it helps your GP too). • In the next few slides, we will be talking about some competitions and conferences that we will be facing.

- 7. What is a MUN? • MUN, or model united nations is a mock simulation of the real united nations conference. It is much more straightforward, flexible than the UN and gives students the first hand exposure through dedicated research and on-the-ground debate experiences. • By the end of your two years in VJ, MUNning would help you: • 1) Develop increased awareness of the community; • 2) More content knowledge development; • 3) Enhancement of practical skills.
