From the response of my ancillary task I did not make changes however I discovered some useful information on what to do if I do it again, for example I learnt more text could be used on my magazine cover.

Editor's Notes

  2. After we created our rough cut decided to show our peers and gain their advice on what to do, after gaining a lot of information off them we came to realise that there were too many gaps (due to lack of film) and that it was not quite ready and did not set the scene as well as it could. Through this criticism we decided that we should film again in order to produce a better film. We learnt that we need more character establishing shots so that the audience gains time to understand who the characters are, we also learnt that we should build up the tension more rather than make it happen immediately.
  3. We decided to use the social network of Facebook to retrieve some feedback on our final cut, I thought this would be a good idea as Facebook is a large social network which integrates millions of people all over the world. I personally use facebook daily and as do my peers so therefore thought it a good way to gain some feedback. I learnt a lot from this.
  4. In response to our audience feedback we decided that we needed to do some more filming, we decided to do some day time shots which would show the characters looking very happy and having fun. We also decided that we needed to do some filming which included the characters in close up/mid shot shots enabling the audience to get to know them better.
  5. After creating our final cut we gained feedback from our teacher Mr Mcrae, through this we gained some advice on what changes we should make and also on aspects of the film which he liked. As we had some time we decided that we shall do our final cut once again and take into consideration the points which Mr Mcrae had told us. This feedback was especially helpful as it helped us gain information from someone who has experience in the field.
  6. We took into account what Mr Mcrae had said and we decided that we shall make some last – minute changes in order to create the perfect trailer.
  7. I completed a questionnaire amongst my peers to see what they thought about my two ancillary tasks. I asked three questions and learnt a great deal from their responses. I asked seventeen people three vital questions about my poster and magazine and from this I learnt that the majority think it presents the genre well and does make them want to watch the film however not everyone would buy the magazine. I had to make sure that with the question of purchasing the magazine it was if they were to buy a film magazine would they buy this one as I know a lot of people my age do not buy film magazines due to budgets. I have shown some of the answers in the form of a pie chart.
  8. Ellie Bowley and Rebecca Coulthurst provided me with some valuable feedback on my poster.
  9. I asked Kathryn Sivers and Rebecca Williams for some feedback on my magazine
