During the construction of a magazine, the author used Adobe Photoshop and InDesign. In Photoshop, the author designed multiple mastheads using various fonts and colors, tested them with the target audience, and settled on one with a "liquefy effect." Photoshop was also used to precisely cut out images using the pen tool. InDesign allowed the author to easily lay out and manipulate text and images on a double-page spread. Through using these programs, the author gained experience with their professional design tools and features.
