3. Apple Mac We used apple Macs to create out media products because Apple Macs would enable us to work with large files whereas on a computer it would cause them to crash was they would find it harder to cope with the file sizes It also enabled us to be able to work efficiently because their was no problems on the Macs due to how advance they are. Also on the Macs we was provided with a variety of programmes that we could use to better the quality of our media work

4. Final Cut Express We used final cut express to edit our music video. This was my first time using final cut express. We main reason why we used final cut express is because final cut express editing looks more professional as you are able to do much more editing techniques than programmes like Adobe Premier Pro. Also it allows you to be able to work on different sequences at one time which enabled us to be able to put our music video into sections so that we could manage our editing more effectively. This meant that with the ability that final cut express could produce we was able to make a good quality music video

5. HD video camera We used a HD Sony video camera which enabled us to produce quality camera shots because the camera is a high definition which meant that it can produce quality shots. This video camera also enabled us to do special effects like go into focus, then come out of focus this would be used to bring attend to the action that is going on in the screen. It also would make the music video look attractive to our target audience Also on these camera you are able to adjust the scenes to suit different conditions like lighting whereas on normal video cameras the adjusting would not be as great and advanced as on a HD Video Camera.

6. Photoshop We used Photoshop to create our magazine advert and our Digipack. We used Photoshop because it enables us to be able to do more functions to our media products than programmes like Microsoft Publisher Also on Photoshop you are able to add different types of effects whereas on other programmes you are limited to the effects that you can do. One main advantage that Photoshop had over other programmes was the ability to be able to adjust the size of a image without pixilating the image which meant that images quality would not be effected.

7. MySpace I used MySpace to help me find the song that we could use for our music video. MySpace is mainly used by artist who try to get discovered so they upload songs that they have made. I thought MySpace would be a good way to find our song because MySpace have unsigned artist so it would be easier to ask for permission to make their songs. Also it is easy to use and quick which could help save time in looking for a soundtrack. Also it shows how audience react to the songs uploaded by artist.

8. Tagxedo I used Tagxedo to produce an image with words, showing the words that relate our song. I used this website because it produces pleasant images with words and it is quick and easy. It also helped during the planning stage because it helped me to focus on the make words/meanings in our music video.

9. Blackberry Messenger I used blackberry messenger as way of communication with a member of the group because through blackberry messenger I was able to send instant messages to my partner including images and links that they could look at. It helped us with our practical because we was able to communicate quickly and inform each other of any news which made our practical more efficient. Also through the blackberry I was able to access a variety of programmes like Internet Facebook Microsoft programmes etc This allowed me to able be to use my time wisely to plan better because I could be planning anywhere and I did not have to be at a computer which improved my time management

10. Webcam I used a webcam in my evaluation because it provided a quality image and sound and was quicker than using a camera to record I used the webcam also to do a video diary as a video diary would have the been the most effective way to express my views on my progression in media

11. Scribd I used Scribd because it enabled me to upload my word documents making them look professional. Also it was a quick and easy way of uploading a word documents. Scribd allowed me to be able to upload as may word documents as I wanted. By using Scribd I was able to make sure that the positioning of text and images was not distorted because if I copied and pasted images and writing would come out of positioning on the blog

12. Illustrator I used illustrator to create our logo for recorded label, the main reason why we used illustrator to create our logo is illustrator is a vector application because using vectors the logo can appear crisp when printed onto anything meaning it would look more professional.

13. PowerPoint/ Microsoft Word I used these two applications because they could be used to present information effectively and professionally which made my work look more presentable also I am use to using them which meant that I would be able to work fast and efficient on them to produce my work. also on these programmes I was able to present my work in different ways which would help me to portray my point more effectively

14. Facebook We used Facebook as way of communication effectively between the three of us because it is free and it is instant messaging. Also we was able to receive feedback fast and well-organized which allowed us to see what audiences thought of our media products.

15. Cannon EOS 450D We used the camera Cannon EOS 450D because it makes the photos taken look professional. Also by using this camera we could adjust it to any setting that would suit the different locations that we used to take our photos. Also by using this camera we could adjust the focus of the image to portray different effects making our magazine advert and Digipack look more professional and attractive.

16. YouTube I used YouTube as way of uploading videos for my blog. I used YouTube because YouTube is a quick and easy way of uploading videos whereas on blogger it takes longer. Also through YouTube you are able to watch the videos in High definition which mean that my video products would come out in better quality

17. Slideshare I used Slideshare because it enabled me to upload my PowerPoint's making them look professional. Also it was a quick and easy way of uploading a word documents. Slideshare allowed me to be able to upload as may PowerPoint's as I wanted. By using Slideshare I was able to make sure that the positioning of text and images was not distorted. Also cannot upload PowerPoint's straight onto blogger.

18. IMOVIE I used IMOVIE on evaluation question 3 because IMOVIE is a quick way of putting a video together. I was able to capture footage and insert onto IMOVIE timeline straight way. I was able to add different effect to make the video look attractive and entertaining.
