Among PR pros, the news release is still the most common tool for gaining attention. Many factors influence the success or failure of the classic "news release + email outreach" PR campaigns. Which factors, then? Time of day, day of the week, email distribution lists, customization and a number of other factors that PR pros must consider before pressing the Send button. With that in mind, @prdotco asked the question: “What can we learn from 50,000 press releases?” We analyzed the press releases published through pr.co over the last few years and found some statistics that will be helpful and interesting to PR pros - and wannabes!
