Ashley's SMART goal was to work out 4 days a week doing cardio for at least 1 hour each session in order to improve her stamina and reduce getting out of breath during physical activity. She tracked her workouts in a log to monitor her progress. Her routine included using the treadmill and doing arm and ab exercises. Having friends join her at the gym motivated her, while lack of time, sleep, and a bad knee inhibited her workouts. By the end, she felt more athletic, stronger, and healthier with improved endurance and food choices.

2. My SMART goal S Specific: Work out 4 days a week, specifically cardio. I have never been very athletic. While I am not heavy, when I do strenuous work, I am always out of breathe and struggling at the end of the task. M Measureable: Going to the gym and doing something active for at least 1 hour, 4 times a week. I will record this in order to see my progress and monitor improvement. A Attainable: I will set aside time each day to work out. I have friends that work out, so I may join them (in order to support each other). Finally, I will work my way up to 4 days a week, this way task will not seem too daunting and will become easy to do and maintain R Realistic: I have gone to the gym occasionally in the past, but never had a set schedule. This will allow me to get a bit of physical activity each day as well as practice time management T Timely: By the end of March

5. Inhibators:Lack of time: It is hard to work out when you also have school and work. Sleep: I found that if I didn’t sleep enough the night before, I did not want to work out because I was too tired Predisposition: I have a bad knee which makes my workout options limited. This also created boredom with my routine as I normally did the same thing every time.
8. I feel much healthier, overall. I find that this healthy feeling from working out has influenced other aspects of my life, such as eating. My food selections have become healthier to supplement my work out routine. I hope to keep working out and eating health through the future!
