By: Kevin Formalarie Wellness Goal
My SMART goal Specific- I will start to bike more and use weights to build muscle to lose weight. I will also change my diet to incorporate a more balanced diet with less caffeine and more fruits and vegetables.   Measurable- I will bike for 20 minutes 5 days a week and do various muscles building work out to lose weight and look more healthy   Attainable- This is attainable because I know I can lose around 15 pounds and ride the bike to strengthen my knee and ankles and also improve my cardio   Realistic-This is realistic because it will not take more than an hour and a half out of my day to get in the way of classes and my job and will give me a  break from the grind   Timely- I will start dieting and weight training February 15th The reasons I chose this goal are: To lose weight the healthy way and change my diet To help produce more muscle and look healthy To set aside a part of the day for myself and work some stress off The steps to help accomplish my goal are Start Eating better Weigh myself when I start this process and at the end weigh myself again Find a workout routine to follow Set aside time in my day to go forward with this goal
Log Book I did not log this but followed a work out called cross fit www.crossfit.com I started at 184 pounds and was determined to lose 10+ pounds Using this website helped me follow a workout for a day and was not time consuming that worked into my schedule
Process I started biking and running more to increase cardio and help work stamina up I then followed the cross fit workout Tracked my diet everyday cutting calories down and eating healthier foods. I did not write this down but mentally I did and it has worked
People Who Helped Whenever you want to achieve a goal you need things to inspire you I used my friends and family to help me keep going even if I did not want to. All my roommates changed their diet with me which helped because we worked off each other and watched out for each other Also it seemed after I started I got more energy which kept me going for more because it was natural energy and not Red Bull I also weighed my self at the beginning and end of each week to track my weight loss. Having my family tell me I am starting to look healthy also was a huge influence Some things that held me back: school work, work, and some lazy moments but I have learned to look about them and now I have more energy and drive everyday
Results This goal is working and was easy to do I am now 10 pounds lighter and still losing pounds as I go I feel amazing because it was easy and I could keep doing it without changing much of my lifestyle It shows when you set and easy attainable goal you can do more and then some
