Roxanne Missingham is an inspiration to the CLOCKSS team! She is the University Librarian at the Australian National University.
She graduated from ANU with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in pure and applied mathematics and psychology. She added to her undergraduate degree with a Graduate Diploma in Librarian Studies and combined the two when she was selected for the graduate program at the National Library of Australia.
From there a flourishing library career took off which saw her work for CSIRO, Australian Nature Conservation Agency, Department of Environment and the Parliamentary Library before she returned to where it all started, the ANU.

The Queens Office of Educational Technology is offering a professional development program for grades 3-12 social studies, ELA, and ELL teachers funded by a 2010-2011 Title II D technology grant. The program will enhance social studies instruction through project-based learning and advanced technology tools such as blogging, graphic novels, digital movie making, and online environments. Sessions will be held on various Saturdays from September 2010 through June 2011 at a location in Queens. Teachers can register by fax or email.

*A Very Brief History of American Women Before 1919
American women before 1919 faced many limitations despite some improvements over time. They had few legal rights, as married women's property and earnings belonged to their husbands. They could not vote at the federal level. However, some women like Abigail Adams influenced politics through their husbands, and movements in the mid-1800s fought for women's rights, education, and suffrage, gaining some successes by the early 1900s.

Efficient SLO Development Across Courses: The Example of History.
This document outlines a 4-step process for efficiently developing student learning outcomes across history courses. The 4 steps are: 1) Develop shared SLOs that apply to all history courses while allowing for differences between subject areas. 2) Set a standard of 70% or higher for demonstrating success on each SLO. 3) Allow faculty flexibility in assessment methods while standardizing reporting. 4) Make all SLOs, samples, and forms easy to locate.

Hist111: What is a Historical Thesis?
A historical thesis is similar to an English thesis in that it is a statement or claim that must be proven using evidence. For this class, students will develop historical theses to answer test questions and for discussions by citing primary sources as evidence. Writing will involve discussion posts and test essays, not a research paper. The goal is to practice creating and supporting a historical thesis through referencing primary sources found in class materials and discussions.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in Education
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
