Hook
KEY VOCAB
Getting Knowledge
Ready
What MI do you think you are?
What MI do you think is the least like you?
You have 1 minute to find the other
people in the room with the same thought
as you for what you “THINK” is your
preferred MI.
These may be some people you work with
during the year.
What does
the title tell
me?
What do I
predict the
text will be
about?
What can
the pictures
tell me?
What do I
already know
about this
topic?
What
words do
I expect
to see?
What
images come
to mind?
What will I
do as I
read?
Questionnaire
Complete the online version and
hard copy and put this in a plastic
pocket in your folder
Now find other people in the room
who have the same #1 MI as you.
Make a note of who these dudes are
so that you can work with them
during the year. It’s always good to
work with like minded people!
Why know your MI???
Your multiple intelligences will be
assessed and recorded by completing
both a hard copy and online survey and
producing a graph displaying your relative
strengths and weaknesses.
During the year you will complete a
variety of different tasks that will be done
either individually, attempted by the whole
class or negotiated with the teacher.
This is where you will be able to use your
individual strength to help choose what
you may do or perhaps how you will
Class Projects
Sometimes we will learn a topic together
as a class.
You will still have choices of some
activities.
In first term you will be learning more
about YOU and someone in this
class…WATCH THIS SPACE!
You will be required to plan out your OWN
project, research information, present it in
an interesting manner (teachers are sick
of boring old posters) and present it to the
class in some way, shape or form. This is

Review
In your Review
Book you need
to write what
you have
learnt today
and how you
will use this to
help you in
your learning
this year.

Editor's Notes

  • #5 Have students put these into their glossary in their folders
  • #10 Refer to Assessment Sheet (Rubric) for Personal Learning – This is what students will be using for each project throughout the term. We will select different focus points for each project. You can’t assess on ALL at once – TOO HARD!! Students to highlight where they think they are in each and put them in their plastic pocket.
