 First phase (2012): launch of two calls:
- call for living lab platforms + corresponding projects (appropriated
budget: € 6.02 M)
- call for knowledge gathering project (selection of the scientific
consortium (appropriated budget: € 0.93 M).
 Second phase (2013): launch of a supplementary call (appropriated budget: € 2
M), including the possibility for new applicants who wish to use a supported
platform, to submit a project proposal.

 For the platform and project proposals, the applying consortia
may be composed of cities and municipalities, companies and
social profit organisations with activities that are relevant for
the care sector.
 The entire care and value chain (e.g. first line, second line,
hospitals, local administrations, housing companies, end
users, care economic actors, government, ...)
 The applying consortium of a platform application must at
least contain a company and a city or municipality.

 Multidisciplinary, cross-sectoral and transmural cooperation are important
conditions
 Guarantee sufficient scale for the living lab to be able to realise an impact on
society in the long term
 The consortium has to create a steering group/user committee, which will
be composed of cities and municipalities, companies, (transsectoral) care
providers, care users and informal carers.
