This document provides information about an Asset Performance Management (APM) Health Check conducted by Stork. The health check assesses the maturity of a client's APM processes based on 17 domains defined in Stork's Asset Reliability and Integrity model. It uses a questionnaire to score each domain on a scale of 1 to 5 that corresponds to maturity levels from starting to continuous improvement. The health check identifies strengths and areas for improvement. Its deliverable is a tailored improvement plan to help optimize asset performance by ensuring risk levels are clearly defined and asset management goals are achieved cost effectively.

APM HEALTH CHECK
FOUNDATION
The Stork Asset Reliability and Integrity
model (ARIM) model is developed based on
the standard NEN- EN-16991:2018 Risk
Based Inspection Framework.
The ARIM model is used to visualize the
main processes to define, implement and
optimize Risk Based Asset Strategies to
mitigate the operational risk of the asset
to the required level.

FOUNDATION
Reliability Integrity process domains
1. Asset Register; the existence of functional asset breakdown
structure
2. Applicable Rules & Regulations; the existence of a register
3. Compliance analysis; compliance tasks are identified
4. Criticality Analysis; risk assessment on basis of the risk matrix
5. Multi-level risk assessments; methodologies for defining risk
mitigating strategies
6. Risk Based Maintenance strategies; defining maintenance tasks and
clustering
7. Training program/ asset knowledge; knowledge of the asset,
standard operating procedures
8. Analysis; effectivity of the maintenance strategies.
9. Adapting Maintenance Strategies; optimizing based on analysis
10. Modifications and replacements (Management of Change); changes
due to unreliability and end of life

12. Execution planned and unplanned maintenance; safe and high-
quality execution, damage and cause data collection
13. Maintenance efficiency: On time, first time right, cost drivers,
performance killers, asset condition, the remaining life
14. Adapt task frequencies, methods; optimization of effectiveness and

The objective of an APM Health Check is to
determine the maturity status of the specific
domains (# 17) in the ARIM model before,
during and after the implementation of the
scope of an Asset Performance Management
(APM) project or of the ongoing operation of
the Assets.
The maturity level will be used to formulate
recommendations for further development of
the maturity of the APM processes.

OBJECTIVE

April 5, 2022 Page 12
Questionnaire1 covers the 17 ARIM domains with qualitative questions. The auditor gives a
quantitative score based on industry benchmarks that is appropriate within one of the
following maturity levels:
1. starting with main focus on Compliance and acting after incidents have occurred;
2. developing with main focus on reliability, integrity and defining preventive action;
3. organized with main focus on Risk-Based methodologies;
4. mature with main focus on Risk-Based asset strategies and performance;
5. continuous improvement with a focus on Simulation and Modelling.
1. based on the experience of Stork across many industries, also reflects recommendations of international institutions and organizations such as the Institute of Asset Management (IAM) or
the Risk Based Inspection and Maintenance Procedures for European Industry (RIMAP)

METHODOLOGY

April 5, 2022 Page 13
• Identifying the maturity of current work processes and the positive contributors within the
client APM system that can be used for future improvement;
• Identifying all areas where the client can make improvements in the three main processes;
• Proposing an improvement plan tailored to the client's culture and work processes.
