QOS Aware Formalized Model for Semantic Web Service SelectionIJwest
Selecting the most relevant Web Service according to a client requirement is an onerous task, as innumerous number of functionally same Web Services(WS) are listed in UDDI registry. WS are functionally same but their Quality and performance varies as per service providers. A web Service Selection Process involves two major points: Recommending the pertinent Web Service and avoiding unjustifiable web service. The deficiency in keyword based searching is that it doesn’t handle the client request accurately as keyword may have ambiguous meaning on different scenarios. UDDI and search engines all are based on keyword search, which are lagging behind on pertinent Web service selection. So the search mechanism must be incorporated with the Semantic behavior of Web Services. In order to strengthen this approach, the proposed model is incorporated with Quality of Services (QoS) based Ranking of semantic web services.
This paper focuses on various concepts of Quality of Service associated with web services. Various QoS parameters like performance, availability, reliability and stability etc. are formalized in order to enhance the pertinence of web service selection. A QoS mediator agent based Web Service Selection Model is proposed where QoS Consultant acts as a Mediator Agent between clients and service providers. Model suggests user’s preferences on QoS parameter selection. The proposed model helps to select pertinent Web Service as per user’s requirement and reduce the human effort.. Further process of adding ontology with semantic web services is also illustrated here.

Evaluation of a Framework for Integrated Web ServicesIRJET Journal
This document proposes and evaluates a framework for integrating web services. It begins by discussing how users appreciate simple, on-demand access to affordable software services without needing to install or update applications themselves. The document then presents an argument for a web-based architecture that allows users to access and purchase a wide range of software applications as needed. It evaluates this framework through user surveys and examples of simulation software services to demonstrate how the integrated framework can be implemented. The surveys found that the framework reduced costs, simplified processes, and improved the user experience by combining various online components and software services.
Situation Alert and Quality of Service using Collaborative Filtering for Web ...IRJET Journal
This document discusses a proposed location-aware collaborative filtering method for web service recommendation to improve quality of service (QoS) prediction accuracy. Existing QoS prediction methods do not adequately consider the personalized influence of users and services or the locations of users and services. The proposed method leverages both user and service locations when selecting similar neighbors and includes an enhanced similarity measurement that accounts for personalized deviations in user and service QoS. Experimental results on a real-world dataset show the proposed approach significantly outperforms previous collaborative filtering methods in QoS prediction accuracy and computational efficiency.
VPN stands for Virtual Private Network. It uses public networks like the internet to provide secure connections for remote users to access private resources as if they were locally connected. VPNs use protocols like IPSec and SSL to encrypt data in transit and authenticate users. They allow companies to have virtual private networks without having to use expensive private lines. WEB SERVICE COMPOSITION IN DYNAMIC ENVIRONMENT: A COMPARATIVE STUDYcscpconf
This document provides a comparative study of 16 recent research papers on web service composition in dynamic environments. It evaluates the papers based on their approach to adapting to environmental changes, the composition phase they consider for detecting changes, whether they account for quality of service attributes, their main contributions, and whether they include experiments. The study finds that most approaches handle dynamism during the execution phase, treating earlier phases as static, and that more work is needed to detect and handle changes across all composition phases to build more reliable plans. Accounting for quality of service attributes and including experiments are also areas for improvement.

Root Cause Detection in a Service-Oriented ArchitectureSam Shah
[This paper was presented at SIGMETRICS 2013.]
Large-scale websites are predominantly built as a service-oriented architecture. Here, services are specialized for a certain task, run on multiple machines, and communicate with each other to serve a user’s request. An anomalous change in a metric of one service can propagate to other services during this communication, resulting in overall degradation of the request. As any such degradation is revenue impacting, maintaining correct functionality is of paramount concern: it is important to find the root cause of any anomaly as quickly as possible. This is challenging because there are numerous metrics or sensors for a given service, and a modern website is usually composed of hundreds of services running on thousands of machines in multiple data centers.
This paper introduces MonitorRank, an algorithm that can reduce the time, domain knowledge, and human effort required to find the root causes of anomalies in such service-oriented architectures. In the event of an anomaly, MonitorRank provides a ranked order list of possible root causes for monitoring teams to investigate. MonitorRank uses the historical and current time-series metrics of each sensor as its input, along with the call graph generated between sensors to build an unsupervised model for ranking. Experiments on real production outage data from LinkedIn, one of the largest online social networks, shows a 26% to 51% improvement in mean average precision in finding root causes compared to baseline and current state-of-the-art methods.

Web Service Computing is a recent evolution in Distributed Computing series and it is an emerging and fast growing paradigm in the present scenario. Web Service Computing is a diversified discipline suite that related to the technologies of Business Process Integration and Management, Grid / Utility / Cloud Computing paradigms, autonomic computing, as well as the business and scientific applications. It applies the theories of Science and Technology for bridging the gap between Business Services and IT Services. Service oriented computing addresses how to enable the technology to help people to perform business processes more efficiently and effectively, ultimately resulting in creating WIN-WIN strategy between the business organizations and end users. The greatest significance of the web services is their interoperability, which allows businesses to dynamically publish, discover, and aggregate a range of Web services through the Internet to more easily create innovative products, business processes and value chains both from organization and end user points of views. Due to these, this cross discipline attracts the variety of researchers from various disciplines to conduct the versatile research and experiments in this area.
This summarizes a research paper on recommending "long-tail" or less popular web services. It proposes a deep learning framework called DLTSR that uses stacked denoising autoencoders to better represent services from their descriptions. It also incorporates usage data from more popular services as feedback to improve content extraction. Additionally, it models developers' preferences instead of individual services to address data sparsity issues. The experimental results showed DLTSR outperformed baseline methods in recommending long-tail services.

This document describes a new lossless color image compression algorithm based on hierarchical prediction and context-adaptive arithmetic coding. It decorrelates RGB images using a reversible color transform, then encodes the Y component conventionally and the chrominance components hierarchically using upper, left, and lower pixels for prediction rather than just upper and left. An appropriate context model is defined for prediction errors, which are arithmetic coded. Testing showed this method achieves better bit rate compression than JPEG2000 and JPEG-XR.
This document describes a proposed system for efficient image encryption-then-compression (ETC). Existing ETC solutions significantly reduce compression efficiency. The proposed system encrypts images in the prediction error domain, allowing for reasonably secure encryption while maintaining high compression efficiency. Encrypted images can be compressed using arithmetic coding, achieving compression performance similar to compressing uncompressed images. This overcomes limitations of prior ETC systems that degraded compression performance on encrypted data.

A review on techniques and modelling methodologies used for checking electrom...nooriasukmaningtyas
The proper function of the integrated circuit (IC) in an inhibiting electromagnetic environment has always been a serious concern throughout the decades of revolution in the world of electronics, from disjunct devices to today’s integrated circuit technology, where billions of transistors are combined on a single chip. The automotive industry and smart vehicles in particular, are confronting design issues such as being prone to electromagnetic interference (EMI). Electronic control devices calculate incorrect outputs because of EMI and sensors give misleading values which can prove fatal in case of automotives. In this paper, the authors have non exhaustively tried to review research work concerned with the investigation of EMI in ICs and prediction of this EMI using various modelling methodologies and measurement setups.

Web Service Recommendation via Exploiting Location
and QoS Information
Abstract
Web services are integrated software components for the support of interoperable machine-to-
machine interaction over a network. Web services have been widely employed for
building service-oriented applications in both industry and academia in recent years. The
number of publicly available Web services is steadily increasing on the Internet. However,
this proliferation makes it hard for a user to select a proper Web service among a large
amount of service candidates. An inappropriate service selection may cause many
problems (e.g., ill-suited performance) to the resulting applications. In this paper, we
propose a novel collaborative filtering-based Web service recommender system to help
users select services with optimal Quality-of-Service (QoS) performance. Our recommender
system employs the location information and QoS values to cluster users and services, and
makes personalized service recommendation for users based on the clustering results.
Compared with existing service recommendation methods, our approach achieves
considerable improvement on the recommendation accuracy. Comprehensive experiments
are conducted involving more than 1.5 million QoS records of real-world Web services to
demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach.
