Mini-laptops, also known as netbooks, are inexpensive lightweight laptop computers that are well-suited for accessing web-based applications known as Web 2.0. Their low cost makes it possible for every student to have their own, which could transform technology's role in education. When considering adopting mini-laptops, educators should first establish instructional goals and then select appropriate software, hardware, and infrastructure to meet those goals.
