Web 2.0 refers to interactive websites that allow users to interact with and modify content. Examples described include Flickr, which allows photo sharing; Wikipedia, which allows collaborative editing of pages; Twitter, which allows sharing of short messages; Facebook, which allows profile creation and sharing of updates, photos and videos; and YouTube, which allows sharing of videos. These sites impact both media audiences by providing new content and ways to connect, and media producers by offering additional platforms to reach audiences.
