Wireless communication transfers information between two or more points not connected by an electrical conductor, most commonly using electromagnetic radio waves that can connect over short or long distances. It includes technologies like two-way radios, cellular phones, PDAs, wireless networking, GPS units, and other devices using radio frequencies to connect without wires over various fixed, mobile, and portable applications. Some less common wireless methods use light, sound, magnetic, or electric fields instead of radio waves.
