Screening algorithm
* This is a future project, but has the potential to save a lot of time when
we are evaluating 1000’s of companies in a brief, few-minutes glance and
decide on the basis of “just about enough” data to point that the
opportunity is worth another look - we can save this time in future by
automating what a brief “glance” essentially means in automation terms
and bring the most interesting opportunities for review before others

It’s important to figure out these input fields so we can figure out how to make the process of automatically decide on furthering to next round or sending the email for rejection or incomplete application fill-out

* We might need to reconstruct the Due Diligence Sheet for the future data science tool to standardize the input fields - important for future data set building and also for filtering to be able to save time - Bo best knowledgeable for this part (https://support.google.com/docs/answer/3378864?hl=en&ref_topic=6063593)

- Trend Identification and Following tool:
Dynamically scrapes web news/specific and trusted market research websites and updates on the industries that we AS AN INVESTMENT GROUP NEED to follow and be update on (e.g following trends and sharing news about Digital Asset Management Market; within Media and Entertainment Industry - XYZ has an investment akat: Coster Technologies in this space and not surprisingly many people within the team are not updated on latest news, numbers etc. in the industry).
Purpose would be to update and share market research and trends within the VC Investment Group (Analyst+Associate+Principal+GP+ MP + LP's) as well as Portfolio company Founders FOR THE SPECIFIC INDUSTRY/GEOGRAPHY THEY ARE IN.
I envision this tool as a way to generate a visual hypothesis of Investment that can be easily understood across stakeholders - who tend to be of very diverse professional and academic backgrounds as well as age group categorization.
*Beyond the logistics of the startup incubator, the organization has its own proprietary software built specifically for its companies to use. For example, Y Combinator operates an internal social network for current and alumni companies to connect called Book Face. Y Combinator also has an internal question and answer forum for companies to use to get advice from each other and a database holding information on every technology investor. Altman says that Y Combinator will continue to develop new in-house software.
