For the feasibility study, this would have been better to discuss how you would measure the possible success of the project. Just stating it will be a “quantifiable profit” does not indicate how much money is involve or how long it will take to realize those profits. Normally a study such as this is not done by the business users. Sometimes a systems analyst will perform these studies. Using examples of how other companies have saved money or how long it took to implement a similar solution can show value in moving forward. Good on the gathering information and documenting section; however, that is not a guarantee that all of the requirements have been identified. One way that can help is to have the development team create prototypes to show the business. Personality Prediction and CV Analysis SystemIRJET Journal
The document describes a proposed system for personality prediction and CV analysis to aid in the recruitment process. The system would ask candidates to fill out details, upload their CV, and answer questions related to the big five personality traits. Machine learning models would analyze the responses to predict candidates' personalities. It would also extract key information from CVs using natural language processing. The goals are to streamline recruitment, reduce the workload on HR, and provide a fair way to shortlist candidates based on skills and personality. The proposed system aims to replace traditional and manual recruitment methods.
The document provides a systems analysis and design report for a new information system called Sitter Solutions. It includes an executive summary, analysis of the current situation, system requirements, feasibility analysis, use cases, and an implementation plan. The system aims to automate processes for a small pet sitting business to increase efficiency and reduce errors through features like online appointment scheduling and automated invoice generation.

The document discusses several policy issues that present challenges for the expansion of telehealth, including reimbursement concerns from Medicare and private payers, state licensure requirements, and liability and privacy regulations. Specifically, it outlines that Medicare only reimburses for certain telehealth services if originating from medical facilities, not homes. It also notes states have flexibility with Medicaid reimbursement, but requirements vary widely. Private payer coverage of telehealth services by psychologists is available in some states. Overall, inconsistent regulations across payers and states pose barriers to full integration of telehealth.

It is difficult to assign a grade to this paper by sections as they do not resemble the instructions nor the Rubric used to assign points. Attached is an Excel comparison spreadsheet in which I’ve entered your headings for the sections in the third column and have the rubric titles, which come from the Assignment Stage 1 file. Notice the difference.
I’ve assigned a score of the 60 points for the first stage at this point. I encourage you to redo this paper and pay much more attention to the instructions given for stage 1. They will tell you how to more easily format (with cut and paste functions) and produce a professional document. There are three more stages upon which to build this.
Pay particular attention to the Rubric contents, its labels and how the accuracy and details affect points in the grade.
Additional advice is given herein to improve content.

UTILITY AND CLOUD COMPUTING
Utility and Cloud Computing
Derrick Hobbs
David Conway
CIS/568
Utility computing refers to a system where computer services are rendered at a pay-per-user billing and when on demand (John, 2016). The provider takes control of the system regarding operation and management of the computing infrastructure. Users have access to the services when required and as they may dim fit, but on a rental basis. Due to the economy and the flexibility it provides, it is one of the most popular computing service models available today. The principle on which utility computing is built is where the provider has the back-end infrastructure of the computing services while the consumer is allowed access the services over a private or a virtual network whenever they need the services.
Cloud computing is a much broader concept than utility computing. However, it is also built on the principle of utility computing (Geva, 2008). It is difficult to get a precise definition of cloud computing but the idea behind it is that applications run somewhere nobody can tell hence the name cloud. End users have been using computers and running system without caring to know where they actually run from. For developers and IT operators, cloud computing allows them to deploy and run systems that can grow capacity, improve performance with reduced possibilities of failure. Cloud computing infrastructure is self-driven, allows for multi-tenancy, virtualized and deals specifically with data management.
Utility computing has significantly changed the economics of information technology. Initially, upfront capital investments and lead times were required to obtain computing resources. Utility computing apart from making cloud computing a success, has reduced the upfront payments and lead times and companies and individuals can access computing services on demand. Utility and cloud computing has also made it possible for consumers to view their charges in real time. the systems are designed programmatically such that at the request of computing resources, the system has a billing platform that automatically processes the data.
Today, the company has a few computers it for the computing services of data storage and bandwidth the company is charged per hour. Due to cloud computing the company can scale up and reduce the operation costs related to computing services. The company can do this through automatic scaling by making more requests using an API. The cloud computing is such that it offers more discounts where prices reduce as you use more of the service.
The other issue of data security. Data is the most important element for companies and its security is, therefore, of critical importance. Companies have started to realize that the data they have is growing and securing it might be a problem leave alone the storage space. Cloud computing is bringing on board a platform that is efficient not only in data st ...

This document describes the design of a process for requesting and providing personal data through the third party platform idento.one. The group developed personas representing different types of users, identified requirements, and designed mockups of an email and dashboard interface.
For the company side, they designed a multi-step process where companies receive an email with a customer key and link. They then request a one-time password via email to access an encrypted cloud folder for uploading the requested data within 30 days. Mockups illustrated each step.
For customers, the group designed a dashboard with searchable company listings in boxes. Selecting a company prompts a pop-up with summary details. The goal was to make the process intuitive and efficient

ABSTRACT
Creating and running software produces large amounts of raw data
about the development process and the customer usage, which can
be turned into actionable insight with the help of skilled data scien-
tists. Unfortunately, data scientists with the analytical and software
engineering skills to analyze these large data sets have been hard to
come by; only recently have software companies started to develop
competencies in software-oriented data analytics. To understand
this emerging role, we interviewed data scientists across several
product groups at Microsoft. In this paper, we describe their educa-
tion and training background, their missions in software engineer-
ing contexts, and the type of problems on which they work. We
identify five distinct working styles of data scientists: (1) Insight
Providers, who work with engineers to collect the data needed to
inform decisions that managers make; (2) Modeling Specialists,
who use their machine learning expertise to build predictive mod-
els; (3) Platform Builders, who create data platforms, balancing
both engineering and data analysis concerns; (4) Polymaths, who
do all data science activities themselves; and (5) Team Leaders,
who run teams of data scientists and spread best practices. We fur-

This has certainly caused a disruption and wastage of resources as the doctors and specialists were unproductive during that appointment slot where the booking has been cancelled.
· Customer complaints that the instruction and information prior to the medical appointment are inaccurate.
· Employees do not have any reports to refer to.
· Management have problems tracking the customer’s data.

This document discusses database development for maintenance management. It covers identifying information needs, capturing the right data in a database, overcoming roadblocks to data entry, and using reports to extract useful information from the database. Specific areas addressed include assets, contacts, parts, work orders, and preventative maintenance. The document provides examples of fields that could be used and reports that could be generated to help with decision making.

The document provides guidance on effectively capturing field data for building inventory solutions. It discusses defining data and different data types, sources of data like sensors and satellites, as well as structured and unstructured data formats. The document also outlines the data capturing process, including designing effective forms, using tools like Kobo Toolbox, and establishing naming conventions for organized captured data.

We fur-
ther describe a set of strategies that they employ to inc

ACE 427 Homework 1
Spring 2016
Homework 1
The purpose of this homework is to introduce you to one of the most important concepts in
commodity price analysis—the random walk model. To obtain the data for the homework, go to
the farmdoc website and collect the US monthly average price received for hogs from January
1960 – November 2015. A downloadable Excel file with the data can be found at this link:
http://www.farmdoc.illinois.edu/manage/uspricehistory/us_price_history.html. The link for the
price data is at the bottom of the purple area of the tool.
1. Produce a line plot of the entire data series on one page. Do your best to format the chart
in a useful manner.
2. Produce a scatter plot where x is the previous month hog price and y is the current month
hog price. Note you will lose one observation when you construct the series for this plot.
In other words, generate a second price column which is the original data lagged by one
month, e.g. row #1 Feb 60 Jan 60; row #2 Mar 60 Feb 60, and so on. Show the
regression of y on x on the chart along with the equation and R2.
3. Generate the monthly change in hog prices. Simply subtract last month’s price from this
month’s price.
4. Produce a scatter plot where x is the previous change in the monthly hog price and y is
the current change in the monthly hog price. Note you will lose two observations when
you construct the series for this plot. Show the regression of y on x on the chart along
with the equation and R2.
5. Discussion:
a. What does the plot in #2 suggest about the predictability of monthly hog prices?
b. What does the plot in #4 suggest about the predictability of monthly hog prices?
c. How can the two predictability results be reconciled? Do some digging on the
random walk model. One well written paragraph is sufficient.

Understanding User Needs and Satisfying ThemAggregage
https://www.productmanagementtoday.com/frs/26903918/understanding-user-needs-and-satisfying-them
We know we want to create products which our customers find to be valuable. Whether we label it as customer-centric or product-led depends on how long we've been doing product management. There are three challenges we face when doing this. The obvious challenge is figuring out what our users need; the non-obvious challenges are in creating a shared understanding of those needs and in sensing if what we're doing is meeting those needs.
In this webinar, we won't focus on the research methods for discovering user-needs. We will focus on synthesis of the needs we discover, communication and alignment tools, and how we operationalize addressing those needs.
Industry expert Scott Sehlhorst will:
• Introduce a taxonomy for user goals with real world examples
• Present the Onion Diagram, a tool for contextualizing task-level goals
• Illustrate how customer journey maps capture activity-level and task-level goals
• Demonstrate the best approach to selection and prioritization of user-goals to address
• Highlight the crucial benchmarks, observable changes, in ensuring fulfillment of customer needs
Part 2 Deep Dive: Navigating the 2024 Slowdownjeffkluth1
Introduction
The global retail industry has weathered numerous storms, with the financial crisis of 2008 serving as a poignant reminder of the sector's resilience and adaptability. However, as we navigate the complex landscape of 2024, retailers face a unique set of challenges that demand innovative strategies and a fundamental shift in mindset. This white paper contrasts the impact of the 2008 recession on the retail sector with the current headwinds retailers are grappling with, while offering a comprehensive roadmap for success in this new paradigm.
Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).

MILESTONE 4 – DATA MODELING
Synopsis
ata modeling is a technique for organizing and documenting a system’s data.Data is
viewed as a resource to be shared by as many processes as possible. As a result, data
mustbe organized in a way that is flexible and adaptable to unanticipated business
requirements – and that is the purpose ofdata modeling.
D
In this milestone you will firstdiscover those entities in the system that are or mightbe described
by data. With each entity we identify, we will define it in respectto the business. Then,we will
constructa Context Data Model that graphicallydepicts each of the entities and the relationships
they have with each other. Next, we will refine the context data model to include primaryand
foreign keys. The resulting model is called a Key-Based Data Model. Finally, we refine the keybased data model to
include any hierarchies and attributes, and this model is referred to as the
Fully Attributed Data Model.
Objectives

The following is a copy of the transcripts ofan interview between Ms. Dotty Jones of A-1
Information Systems and Kira Webster,a systems analystworking on the project. The goal of
this interview was to obtain sample forms used for processing employee information and to be
able to ask questions aboutthem in order to discover data entities ofthe business system.
Exhibit 4.1
Scene: Kira Webster is meeting with Dotty Jones,Manager of Employee Relations for A-1
Information Systems, ather office, room 1016, building 16. Ms. Webster scheduled the
interview with Ms. Jones to obtain sample forms containing employee information.
Dotty:
Good morning,Kira!How are you today?
Kira:
Fine, thank you. I appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to meetwith
me.
Dotty:
Since I am your main pointof contact, Jack wanted me to be available as much as I
could. You asked for some sample forms and reports.Ihave made copies ofthree of the
forms we use, plus I have made a copy of a page out of our employee telephone listing.
Kira:
Great! That will be a big help.
Dotty:
The first form is the Employee Information Form [Exhibit 4.2]. Employees complete
this form on their firstday of employment.(Dotty hands the form to Kira.) It is
mandatorythat the employee completes the employee profile block, butthe emergency
contact information is optional.
Kira:
Is the date the date the form was filled outor the official date of hire?
Dotty:
It’s the official date of hire. It’s possible the employee maybe ill on his or her first day
of employmentand notbe able to come to work. Under those circumstances, when they
do come to work and complete the form, that date reflects the day they were supposed
to start to work. That hire date, by the way, is importantto us.It is used in calculating
vacation and sick days and other things.
5. Kira:
Is this filled out by every employee, both salaryand hourly?
Dotty:
Salary, Hourly, and contract.
Kira:
Contract?
Dotty:
We have IT consultants, managementconsultants, and other kinds of employees on
loan to us from the corporate office. We also have some independentconsultants
working as contract employees.
Kira:
And they all fill out this form?
Dotty:
We mightneed the emergencycontact information on anyone. And we wanteveryone
included in the employee directory.
Kira:
Okay. Do you only want to record an employee’s middle initial?
Dotty:
No. That’s a weakness ofthe form. We should be capturing an employee’s full name,
including the middle name and anynicknames.
Kira:
Okay. Can employees have more than two emergencycontacts?

Dotty:
Not with this form. But we have instances in which employees would like to enter a
third contact.
Kira:
I’ll see whatI can do aboutthat.
Dotty:
Next, we have the Employee United Way Contribution Form [Exhibit 4.3]. (Dotty
hands the form to Kira.) New employees complete this form on their first day of
employment.Currentemployees complete one ofthese forms every October for the
following year. This gives them the opportunityto change their deduction or keep it the
same.
Kira:
It appears the top of the form is pre-typed?
Dotty:
That’s true. A form for every employee is previouslytyped with name,ID number,
departmentinformation, and supervisor name. The forms are then given to the
supervisors for distribution. The managers ensure thatthe forms are completed and then
return them back to us.
Kira:
Is that true for new employees also?
Dotty:
Yes, those forms are pre-typed also.We know ahead of time whatdepartmentnew
employees will be working in,plus the manager they will be working for. That
information is partof the job offer letter that is sentto prospective new employees.
Once they accept the offer, by signing the letter and returning it, we assign them an
employee ID. So when they report for the first day of work, we have already captured
7. information aboutthem. That’s why they only need to complete the remainder ofthe
form during their orientation session.
Kira:
I see.How are employee ID’s assigned?
Dotty:
Sequentially. We never wantto reuse an employee ID. That’s how we track employees.
Even if they leave the company, they mightone day come back. And, quite possiblywe
mightowe them medical, pension,or retirementbenefits.Does thatmake sense?
Kira:
Yes it does. Are departmentID’s also assigned sequentially?
Dotty:
No. Each of the digits in the departmentcode means something. Each departmentalso
has a departmentname.For instance,6410 is web services.
Kira:
And each departmenthas a manager?
Dotty:
A given departmentcould have multiple managers in a tiered arrangement. One person
would supervise 5-7 people.Another person would supervise others. Both supervisors
would reportto a common supervisor. All in the same department.
Kira:
Is this form used by all employees:salary, hourly, and contract?
Dotty:
Not contract employees. Some ofthem are independentcontractors. We don’t wantto
bother them, and they don’t countin our participation percentages.
Dotty:
8. Okay. The next form is the Employee Misc. Deduction Form [Exhibit 4.4]. (Dotty
hands the form to Kira.) New employees complete this form on their first day of
employment.Currentemployees complete one whenever they wantto change their
miscellaneous deductions.

Kira:
I see that various deductions are based on monthly, yearly, or per pay period
deductions.
Dotty:
That’s right. Some employees are paid weekly, others bi-monthly,and a few monthly.
We justenter the information as is and pass iton to payroll to figure out the impacton
each pay check.
Kira:
I bet you need to keep track of their prior deductions as well as their currentdeductions.
Dotty:
You would win that bet. Whenever there is a question over deductions we need to know
the current deduction options and the prior deduction options and the date when the
employee requested the change.
Kira:
Is this form used by all employees, even contract employees?
Dotty:
Justsalary and hourly. Contract employees have a special guestlot. And they are
ineligible for life insurance or medical insurance.
9. Kira:
Any other differences among the three types of employees?
Dotty:
Well, you don’tsee it on these forms, butHR keeps track of pay rates in the system.
Salary employees are paid based on an annual salary.Hourly employees are paid based
on an hourly rate, plus we track a maximum hours per week thatis scheduled for each
hourly employee.Contractemployees are paid on an hourly rate withouta maximum.
For contract employees we also track their permanentemployer, either the home office
or the employees themselves in the case of independents.
Dotty:
Finally, we have a copy of part of a page from our Employee Telephone Listing.
[Exhibit 4.5]. (Dotty hands the form to Kira.) I believe it is pretty self-explanatory. You
notice it includes employees from all our five sites, plus the building and room theyare
located in.
Kira:
What is a Mail Stop?
Dotty:
Think of it as a zip code for an in-house postoffice.Every employee’s mail is delivered
to one of several centralized locations identified as mail stops.Usuallyit’s located in a
little room or an area of an office. There the employees can go and retrieve their own
mail.We have too many employees to provide mail delivery to each individual office or
cubicle.It wouldn’tbe very costeffective.
Kira:
Can employees choose their mail stops?
Dotty:
No, they are automaticallyassigned based on the room numbers.
Kira:
So the room really says it all, doesn’tit? That determines the mail stop, the building, and
even the site.
Dotty:
10. I guess you’re right.If I know the building,then I know what site it mustbe.
Kira:
Do employees ever share offices with other employees?
Dotty:
Absolutely. But every employee has some office or room where he or she works.
Kira:
Okay. That gives me plenty to work on. Dotty you have been a big help.
