Virtual Schools

Bringing schools closer to home…
Problem
 Why are housing prices a direct function
of its proximity to good schools?
 Parents are reluctant to send their kids
to schools which aren’t up to mark.
 At the same time they cannot afford to
buy a house which has a good school in
  its proximity.
 Our goal to create a virtual school at
  every housing community.
Idea!!!
 Target Market Segment – Kids who school
at home estimated at 2M at United States.
 Problem – Make it easier for kids to enroll
  to home school
 Objective – Make the digital learning
experience as close as possible to the real
  school experience.
 Implementation – Create a humongous
digital library which focuses on all the
subjects of school syllabus. Train tutors
who guide a small group of children through
  the digital material.
Phase I
 Identify the best teachers in the United States and
record their teaching while they are in the action.
 Create an interactive online content for each of
the possible subjects in the school with necessary
animations and pictures making it easier for the
    children to understand.
 Get the content approved from the corresponding
    state governments.
 Identify parents who home-school their kids and
give them a free trial of the online content.
 Phase I will focus only on the middle school
     subjects.
Phase II
 Identify sizeable housing communities in areas
which do not have a good school.
 Assemble the children who have opted to go to a
home school in one huge community hall where
the content from our online portal will be played.
 The content will be monitored by our trained tutors
who will help the children with the questions they
  might have.
 This will create a real school like environment for
the children and they wouldn’t even have to leave
their communities. This in a way is an extension of
babysitting giving more freedom to working
  parents.
Phase III
 These will be slowly expand into
high school syllabus and finally into
primary schools. Tutors will have to
be taught babysitting skills to handle
  young children.
 Deal with the realtors to create
  space/buildings specifically for the
children to assemble and use our
  online content within housing
Challenges
 Navigate through different state laws.
 Legal and judicial process will take time.
 Some states might reject the idea at the
  beginning.
 Promotion of this novel concept might
take some time to catch on.
 Parents might be unwilling to accept to
  this new learning methodology.
New jobs !!!
 Teachers who take the classes in
  front of the camera.
 Training centre for tutors.
 The new tutors who enter the
  market (around 20,000 new tutors).
 Software creation and support
  executives.
Opportunities
 With the explosion of technology in
  underdeveloped countries this kind of
  service would gain momentum quickly.
 The digital content can be given free of
cost to students who cannot afford to buy
  it.
 The objective is remain a non-profit
organization and rather invest the profits
back into the organization for creating a
  better system.
