Vinyl Addiction is a vinyl retailer and mail order company established in 1982 that has a loyal customer base for its catalogue of hard to find vinyl. However, vinyl sales have decreased with the rise of MP3s. To increase sales and attract new customers, Vinyl Addiction wants to create a mobile app that allows users to order records on their phone, look up tracks heard on the radio to identify and purchase, track order history, get music recommendations, and receive a digital copy of purchased vinyl albums.

• Set up in 1982 as a Vinyl retailer and mail order company
• Has a very loyal customer base due to it’s back catalogue of hard to
find vinyl.
• Due to the introduction of MP3’s, vinyl sales have decreased
considerably.
• To help increase sales and bring in new customers the company
wants a presence on the web and a mobile App.
• The App we are proposing will allow users to order records from
there phone
• It will also have a function where you can record a track from the
radio and play it into the app and it will tell you the name of the
track and give you the option to buy.
• It will also keep track of you order’s and suggest music you might
like.
• One feature which we think is unique to this App is once you order
a record you will also be given a MP3 of that record at the same
price so you can listen to the album while your waiting for the
record to arrive.
