In machine learning, there are usually one of two distinct objectives: inference or prediction. In analyses involving clinical trial data and/or real-world data, a machine learning solution can be used by data scientists to detect patterns that conventional analysis and statistical methods cannot. Thus, a machine learning practitioner can help to infer which subgroups that respond, either particularly well or poorly, to a treatment. Similarly, machine learning algorithms can be used to predict a discrete or time-to-event outcome. When knowledge increases of subgroups of interest and on outcomes before they occur, the impact on patient care and clinical research is very powerful.
In this Expert Insights webinar, attendees will learn:
• Why data science and the use of machine learning is essential to pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device organizations
• How to use machine learning to understand outcomes before they occur
• Practical approaches for inference or prediction through machine learning
• Metrics to evaluate the performance of predictions made
Possibilities for the future of machine learning in clinical research

Designing Adaptive, Innovative and Engaging Organisations using Sense and Respond 3.0 Adaptive Lean Principles.
What do Adaptive Lean principles tell us about the way we need to design, build and operate modern businesses? Can we design organizations that are adaptive, innovative and engaging for employees and customers alike? Can we really change cultures in reasonably short time-frames?
This presentation based on the most recent research from work psychology will provide counter intuitive insights into the ‘industrial management’ mind set, its impact on the design of work and management behaviors. And of course we will provide tested countermeasures to design back in employee willing contribution and establish a real human enterprise that leads to long term prosperity.

Competitive Intelligence Needs-Assessment: Asking the right questions ValueNotes
Competitive Intelligence (CI) plays a critical role in formulating an
organisation’s business strategy. It can make the difference between
winning and losing, survival and death. However, CI can only live up to this
expectation, if it addresses the right questions. Right answers to wrong
questions, will be wrong for the organization. What questions should the
organization ask in order to win? The answer to this requires clear logical
thinking on the part of both, the decision-makers who will use the
intelligence to further their business objectives, and competitive
intelligence analysts who will provide actionable inputs to facilitate the
decisions. Going about CI needs assessment in a systematic fashion helps
you hit the bull’s-eye.

ROI Definitions
Typically, TrinityP3 adds value in a pitch process by ensuring the following:
1. That the needs of marketing and advertising are clearly articulated and fulfilled by the process.
2. That the process meets the highest standards of due diligence and corporate governance.
3. That the principles of procurement and marketing are accommodated in the process to achieve the best outcome for both the client and the suppliers.
We flex within the requirements of specific clients as much as possible, within scope; no two processes are exactly alike.
For clarity, we have split the definition of ROI into three components.
Financial ROI: Optimal Efficiency, Optimal Effectiveness.
Operational ROI: Refined Process, Refined Delivery.
Post-Project ROI: The Benefits of a Productive Agency Relationship.

In a May 9, 2024 paper, Juri Opitz from the University of Zurich, along with Shira Wein and Nathan Schneider form Georgetown University, discussed the importance of linguistic expertise in natural language processing (NLP) in an era dominated by large language models (LLMs).
The authors explained that while machine translation (MT) previously relied heavily on linguists, the landscape has shifted. “Linguistics is no longer front and center in the way we build NLP systems,” they said. With the emergence of LLMs, which can generate fluent text without the need for specialized modules to handle grammar or semantic coherence, the need for linguistic expertise in NLP is being questioned.
