VERTEX is an active and participating member of Insured Retirement Institute (IRI,
formerly known as NAVA), ACORD, DTCC and the ACORD Annuity Working Group. In

3. addition to volunteering time on various Annuity Working Group initiatives, VERTEX has
completed extensive development and implementation work utilizing the Product Profile
for Annuities (PPfA) XML Standard, New Business for Annuities (NBfA) and XML for
Life.
