Habit 6: Synergize Valerie Velasquez, Period 3, January 7 th 2010
What synergy means Synergy is when you work together with other people instead of doing everything by yourself. You get farther in where you’re going when you work as a group.
Synergy is everywhere Everywhere you look, or go you can find synergy. Like when groups of animals live together, even if they’re different animals.. Teamwork is obviously another one because when groups work together, everyone has a different skill. So, all those skills put together make something better than it would be if it was individually done. (like sport teams)
Synergy is not Synergy isn’t when you work by yourself. It’s not when you think you’re right all the time. It’s not when you don’t accept differences. And it’s not when you tolerate differences.
Celebrate Differences To help synergize everyone should celebrate differences. Celebrating differences is when you accept other people for who they are. Since everyone is different we have to be able to realize that and get along to be able to work together.
Example: Open-mindedness means that you are the type of person that no matter what other people think, you think that you’re right and no one else is. That is normally a problem in groups because you must get along.
Good Things About Synergy: There are a lot of positive things about working together. You can get so much more done, and a lot faster. Every person in the group has different skills so, your end product will include a lot more.
