Use of partogram in labour management
The partogram is a tool used by birth attendants to monitor labor progress and identify delays, allowing appropriate action. It tracks cervical dilation, contraction patterns, maternal vitals like pulse and blood pressure, fetal heart rate, and other factors. Conditions that may require intervention, like hemorrhage, pre-eclampsia, fetal distress, or obstructed labor, can be identified through close monitoring on the partogram.
