Flint Ridge State Park
Have you ever been to a Licking County park? I have been to both Licking County State Parks. I
am going to explain some of the similarities and differences of Buckeye Lake State Park and Flint
Ridge State Park, which is really more of a National park because it is a massive park which I will
explain in later paragraphs. I am going to talk about why these parksare so well known their terrain
and some of the things that can be seen at these state parks. There are many different parks in
Licking County but there are two well known state parks, Buckeye Lake State Parkand Flint Ridge
State Park, in some ways they are the same and some ways are very different.

At Flint Ridge State Park you can find craters in the ground which were dug for the flint found in
the area. Flint Ridge isn t just a small area it runs from National rd. to the west Appalachian
Mountains and all the way South to Florida, as well as running North to Maine. If you go to
Flint Ridge and dig in the pits or anywhere in the area for that matter you may find dead Indians
or arrowheads that were made by Indians and used for fighting here or getting food. Some of the
flint found here is black in color and is not from Flint Ridge. This flint is called Upper Mercer
Flint and it is from the Coshocton area. There are many reasons for the different kinds of flint
but the best known is that all of the flint on Flint Ridge was brought in by the latest glacier
between 11,400 and 12,000 years ago and is so colorful because it is made from flint from here
to the Rocky Mountains, and the black flint in the Coshocton area, Upper Mercer, is flint strictly
from the Ohio area. All flint is found on the ridges from where it was pushed up by the glacier and
not nearly as much at the bottom because that is where all of the heavier rocks

Analysis Of Tin Man By Andrew Arvanetes
On the KCC campus there is many of great pieces of art to appreciate, however, when picking a
pieces of art to talk about the Tin man by Andrew Arvanetes is a very eye catching piece.
Andrew Arvanetes piece Tin Man sits right behind one of the newest additions to campus, and in
front of the River and walking trail. The Tin Man can be seen from a very far distances, for
example where the child cares playground was moved to they have a great view of both Chicago
Nike and Tin Man. Tin Man by Andrew Arvanetes is for the most part what it sounds like, a tin
man. However, when many people think of a tin man they think of two feet, two arms, and a face.
This tin man does not have any of that it has two legs with what look to be cement rollers

Naps Should Be Allowed In Kindergarten
Naptime or rest time should be a requirement in kindergarten. A simply twenty or thirty minute
nap can reprogram a child s memory, behavior, and assist a child who lacks a sufficient night s
rest. Furthermore, the section will elaborate on the needs of daytime and night sleep in children
who attends kindergarten. Evidence which will support the position of naps in kindergarten will
be provided. Supporting Evidence The research in this paper indicates that if a child s sleep
needs are met, then the child will likely increase positive behaviors, improve academic skills, and
possess better physical health (Buckhait et al., 2015; Cairns Harsh, 2015; Desrochers et al., 2016;

Forecasting focuses on predicting the timing and quantity of customer demand. Capacity
Planning It is essential to accurately predict what products people are willing to purchase. If
there is not enough of something people will be angry and if there is too much of another thing
you are wasting money as a company. Location Another very important aspect of a successful
supermarket, location is important. You must be in an area with the correct demographic of
people to have success. Most people will not be willing to drive an hour to go grocery shopping.
Inventory Management The entire supermarket must be working closely on inventory
management so the perfect amount of inventory is always on hand. As I mentioned before, too
little of a product results in loss of sales and unhappy customers, but too much is a waste of
resources. Layout of Store A great layout is vital for success. Grocery shopping can sometimes
be tedious, so it is essential that the layout makes the process as easy as possible for a consumer.
If a customer is having trouble finding things then they might start shopping elsewhere. Also,
things that will spoil are usually in the back left of a store because that is where the customer will
finish shopping thus reducing the time the product will spend not being refrigerated. Scheduling A
great supermarket will have flawless scheduling of their employees and of deliveries. They will
always have fresh products and the right people

significant for the computer manufacturer, but relatively immaterial for the hotel. The computer

the hotel. The computer company auditor will also have to address valuation and allocation issues
associated with the collectability of receivables and lower of cost or market of inventories that are

Lithium Batteries And Lithium Ion Batteries
While Lithium based batteries have allowed electronic products to become more portable, current
applications of lithium based batteries are starting to show the limitations of the current technology.
These limitations include aspects such as energy density, charge rate, and the usable lifetime of the
battery. Furthermore, over the past decade safety concerns of lithiumion batteries have become more
and more apparent in both industrial and consumer uses of lithium based batteries.
The push towards electric cars in recent years has resulted in an exponential growth in the demand
for lithium ion batteries that have a large capacity since a fully electric car is limited by the max
capacity of its battery. According to battery university,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If ignited, these gases can cause enclosed areas to overpressurize, and if unmitigated, this
overpressure can result in an explosion and severe damage to the battery and surrounding
equipment or people.(9) The risk of this happening increases as battery size increases since if
one cell fails in a way that emits a large amount of heat, it can heat up the surrounding cells to
heat up and subsequently fail. Jason Hughes conducted a teardown of the lithium ion battery in
the Tesla Model S P100D and discovered that the 100 kWh battery contained 8,256 cells, while
tesla does have safety measures in place to prevent the cells from being damaged, a single
manufacturing defect in any of the 8,256 cells could cause a cascading thermal runaway event.
An alternative solution to the limited range of electric vehicles is to offer a large number of
publicly available charging stations for electric vehicles. These charging stations boast a charging
rate of 170 miles in 30 minutes, which is much faster than the 4 hours and 56 minutes that a
standard wall connector would take to charge the car to this range as calculated on Tesla s
website(12). The problem with this solution is that while lithium based batteries can be charged
quickly through processes such as tesla s supercharging, the longevity of the battery can be greatly
damaged by doing so. Fast charging a lithium based battery is most effective then the battery is
almost depleted and the voltage per cell

Motherhood Essay
Motherhood Many different aspects of life characterize motherhood. Traditions along with society
influence the role of motherhood. Carol Stacks All our Kin, is an essay about the structuring of kin
groups (1974, p.47). In the society, if the mother is not mature enough to raise the child, a close
female relative takes on the role of the mother; whereas, the man has the option of choosing to
claim the child and take on the responsibilities of fatherhood or he can imply that the father could
be anyone, which is a socially acceptable reason. Ruth Horowitz The Expanded Familyand Family
Honor, portrays a Mexican Family as a nuclear familyunit within an expanded family (1983, p.64).

Virginity is looked upon as an honor to a woman s husband or her father. It is dishonorable to
lose one s virginity before marriage because a mother is portrayed as an honorable and respectful
figure. If her virginity is lost before marriage or adultery is committed, the society s respect toward
the mother is lost.
On 32nd street, society establishes that the birth mother take on the role of the caretaker before
birth whereas, in The Flats, it is established after birth. On 32nd street, society implies that it is
the woman s duty to bear children. Motherhood is seen not as a last resort but rather as a highly
honored role (Horowitz, 1983, p.71). After marriage, a woman s chief purpose is to bear and
raise children. In The Flats, if the mother is not emotionally ready to nurture a child , the parental
rights are given to a female member of the family who accepts the responsibility as mama (Stack,
1974, p. 49). In the eyes of the community, a young mother who does not perform her duties has not
validated her claim to parenthood (Stack, 1974, p.49).
When a woman becomes a mother she takes on the expected responsibility of bonding with her
child. In The Flats the mama is the women who raises the child, usually for life (Stack, 1974, p.48).
The mama may raise the child and the natural

The Hobbit Vs. The Little Mermaid
This essay will be about how the Hobbit has a better storyline than the Hobbit. The Hobbit is a
stronger representation of the Heroic Journey than the Little Mermaid, because the Little Mermaid
has fewer distinctions, the Hobbit includes more parts, and stands out more. One of the parts would
be the departure.
The Hobbits departure is more clear than the Little Mermaids. This is more clear because you
could pick out where it was and how it happened. In the Little Mermaid you couldn t really tell
where it was since it wasn t at a specific spot in the beginning. An example from the Hobbit would

Concept Analysis Of Pain And Pain
Concept Analysis of Pain The most common reason that people seek medical care is pain, and
pain is the leading cause of disability (Peterson Bredow, 2013, p. 51; National Institute of Health,
2010). Pain is such an important topic in healthcare that the United States congress identified 2000
to 2010 as the Decade of PainControl and Research (Brunner L. S., et al., 2010, p. 231).
Unfortunatelly, patients are reporting a small increase in satisfaction with the pain management
while in the hospital (Bernhofer, 2011). Pain assessment and treatment can be complex since
nurses do not have a tool to quantify it. Pain is considered the fifth vital sign, however, we do
not have numbers to guide our interventions. Pain is a subjective expirience that cannot be shared
easily. Since nurses spend more time with patients in pain than any other healthcare provider,
nurses must have a clear understanding of the concept of pain (Brunner, et al., 2010). Concept
analysis main objective is to clarify ideas, to enhance critical thinking, and to promote
communication (Rodgers Knafl, 2000). This paper will examine the concept of pain using
Wilson s Steps of Concept Analysis (Rodgers Knafl, 2000). Concept analysis are particularly
helpful in explaining ambiguous concepts (Rodgers Knafl, 2000). Pain is defined in multiple
ways. Also, pain has is associated with a lot of misconceptions. This concept analysis objective is
to bring clarity and to provide a deeper understanding of pain.

Unrealism In Salvador Dali s The Persistence Of Memory
In art, the details and elements involved help create meaning. Without the elements of art, people
could not interpret the meaning of the artwork. The painting called The Persistence of Memory,
created by Salvador Dali, uses shapes, background, lines, focal point, eye movement, texture, and
value to make the statement: Time will melt away eventually no matter what happens. The
importance of The Persistence of Memorystems from the history of Salvador Dali and the 1930s.
For example, the artwork demonstrates Einsteins special relativity theory, which suggests that
time exists as a relative concept and not a fixed concept. In addition to possessing the traits of
surrealism, the artwork also gives a sense of realism. The realism depicted in the images shows
how the images can more likely exist in dreams than while awake. In fact, The theme that time is
melting came when Dali saw a runny piece of cheese on a hot August day, thus giving him the
idea to form the melting clocks (Puchko). To help illustrate the theme, Dali uses several elements
of art, such as shapes. Shapes hold importance in illustrating the meaning of art. The shape of the
three dimensional object, for example, illustrates a rectangle, making it look like the objects
sitting on it exist higher up than the rest of the artwork. The tree looks like a thick line of bark
with a thin line of bark branching off of it, which gives it the appearance of holding up the clock.
The clocks exist in the shape of

A Small Place Part 3 Rhetorical Analysis
A Small Place Part 3 Rhetorical Analysis
A Small Place, a novel written by Jamaica Kincaid, is a story relating to the small country of
Antigua and its dilemmas from Jamaica Kincaid s point of view. In this novel Kincaid is trying to
inform her audience that Antigua is in a poor state due to British imperial, government corruption,
and tourism. Kincaid exposes her audience to the effect of these very problems in Antigua by using
persuasive visual language. In the third part of Jamaica Kincaid s A Small Place, Kincaid does an
exceptional job in arguing that, her country Antigua has corrupt government officials due to British
influence by appealing effectively to pathos, logos, and ethos.
Antigua is a beautiful island in the Caribbean that got its name from Christopher Columbus in
1493 when he first visited the small 108 square mile island (Niddrie). Antigua was later colonized
by England in 1632, and won its independence in 1981 (Niddrie). Antigua was originally a country
that was planned as a slave breeding colony, but never became one; the slaves who were imported
came to live self reliantly in their own community (Niddrie). After, Antigua gained its independence;
it established a constitutional monarchy, where the British monarch is still head of state,
represented by a governor general (Niddrie). Sadly, Antigua is an impoverished country that has a
history of being a victim of British imperialism, government corruption, and tourism (Kincaid).

Why Coal Is Responsible For Destroying The World
As far back as the Roman Empire, and indeed probably long before then, coal has been used by
humans as a source of heat, providing many advantages over wood, charcoal and other fuels.
However, it wasn t until the introduction of the steam engine that coal became a major part of
shaping the world. Fueling the industrial revolution, the high energy concentration of coalmade it
the standard source of everything from trains to power plants. Coal companies claim that coal,
though not perfect, is the best source of energy at this moment, and the negative effects are being
mitigated even as we speak. Consumers have a high demand of energy, that cannot be sated by
other sources. To this very day, coal continues to drive forward the world, but... Show more content

They are focused on finding ways to make coal cleaner for the environment, and have outreach
programs to get youth involved in this process as well. Their main claims are that they recognize
inextricable linkage between energy, the economy and the environment and support policies
that promote the use of coal . They resolve these two seemingly conflicting goals by supporting
investments..including capture and storage of CO2 emissions . Coal, they argue, provides the
energy security that the United States relies upon. The United States have more coal reserves
than the Middle East has oil reserves, and could power the United States for the next 290 years
at the current rate of consumption. Even though Coal is becoming less relied upon, they expect
coal to remain dominant through at least 2040. The reason for this is low energy costs. States
with large coal reserves pay, on average, $0.88 per kilowatt hour (kWh), while states that lack
reserves pay $0.1244 per kWh. And outside of the states, consumption is on the rise. There was a
39% increase in demand by 2012, and they are expecting an 80% increase by 2035. But with all
this coal, there is going to be more emissions. The ACCCE is attempting to develop new
technologies to implement, having spent one hundred thirty billion dollars so far and planning on

Semiotic Analysis of True Detective
Semiotic Analysis of True Detective In 1951, the first television crime drama series, Dragnet
significantly influenced our American culture. According to the New Oxford American Dictionary,
the term dragnet is a symbol, for, a system of coordinated measures used to apprehend criminals or
suspects. Most crime drama series solve a different case each episode. Although, in current pop
culture crime dramas focus on one particular crime, throughout an entire season. Similar, to the
show Homeland, the HBO crime drama True Detectiveadds a twist on the conventional series. The
show depicts a subject matter that has affected modern society as a whole. Southern Louisiana
policedetectives Rust Cohle and Marty Hart, in 2012, are asked to revisit their solving of a
ritualistic murder case from 1995. The murder of a former student of the Light of the Way Christian
Academy lays the foundation, for detective Cohle s doubts about the true design of religion. The
True Detective storyline portrays the utilization of religion, education, and politics, by men in
power who manipulate and control young innocent children. Questioning the validity of religion
within a crime drama series is relative to modern society. The conspiracy within the Catholic
Church to suppress hundreds of child molestations committed, by Catholic priests is a pertinent
sign represented in True Detective . Southern Louisiana is located in the heart of the American
Bible belt, where religion is not a choice, but a

Aestheticism In The Picture Of Dorian Gray
The Picture of Dorian Grey In The Picture of Dorian Grey, Oscar Wilde, sets out to show the
influence of aestheticism in late Victorian era. The philosophy of aestheticism was that art
should be judged purely by its beauty and form rather than by any underlying moral message art
for art s sake that art merely exist to be beautiful (Buzwell). In writing the preface of the novel
Wilde writes, all art is quite useless. (Wilde 4) This statement is in contrast to the events that
take place in the novel. The artwork reflects the evil actions of Dorian Grey and a myriad of
characters are impacted by the influence the portrait has on its subject. As the novel begins
Basil Hallward is in awe of Dorian Grey. It is apparent that Basil Hallward admires Dorian s
physical beauty to excess. He paints the young handsome gentleman with enthusiasm. Basil s
artistic expression creates a masterpiece. When first describing Dorian to Lord Henry, Basil
describes how Dorian has become integral to his artistic expression, suggesting that Basil s
interest consists most essentially in Dorian s physical beauty, since that can be represented in
Basil s art. As Basil is finishing the portrait and once he is done, almost everything that he says to
Dorian is flattery of Dorian s beauty. Dorian becomes in love with the painting and with his own
beauty. He grew more and more enamoured of his own beauty, more and more interested in the
corruption of his own soul. Basil is

Diversion Of Angels Performed By Martha Graham
Diversion of Angels was first performed by the Martha Graham Dance Company in 1948 and
was choreographed by Martha Graham. She is well known for her contribution and conception
of modern dance. The choreography was first performed august 13th, 1948 in New London at the
Palmer Auditorium. This dance contains movement and techniques commonly found in Graham
s work while presenting a compelling performance. The dance s core theme is love and its
interactions within life and within others love. Diversion of Angels diverges from previous
concepts of dance and does not have a central story. It has, however, a central concept of
interactions of love. In my understanding of the dance is that each woman represents a type of
love. For example, the woman in red moves quickly and is entrancing. She also had sharp
movements that are very dramatic. Her choreography has an abundance of tilts and raised arms.
Also, throughout the dance she overshadows her partner. The color red also lends the idea that she
is powerful and eye catching. These ideas are shown... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Her chirography contains elongated movements that are slow and flowy. When she moves it has
a conclusion point but is not in no particular rush to get there. When she interacts with her
partner, the man is the driving force. For example, if there was a combination he would make the
bigger, perciser movements while she would make daintier movements. The white is also part of

Symbolism Of Vampirism In Dracula
We can also see how the Victorian Society also helps create the story, how it is wrote and how it
influences Dracula so much. Vampirism is just a polite way Stoker has made to secretly talk about
sex since anything that brought a blush to your cheeks was forbidden during the Victorian era. For
example, when Lucy first gets bitten while sleepwalking There was undoubtedly something, long
and black, bending over the half reclining white figure (Dracula98). Lucy gets bitten by Dracula
and she is already talking with three other men, ends up marrying one, this is in no way the ideal
Victorian woman. Not only is she not an ideal Victorian woman, but to add on to the list of why
she is not The vampiric tradition of blood sucking is symbolic of the exchange of bodily fluids
during sex. For Stoker, writing in the sexually repressed Victorian age, vampirism is a
convenient metaphor for sex and the closest he could get to writing about sex in a respectable
novel (NovelGuide). As we all know she has many exchanges of bodily fluids, not only the
blood sucking of Dracula, but in fact blood transfusions from all three men as they vowed to
never speak of it since Arthur believes that the transfusion made him and Lucy truly married
None of us said a word of the other operations, and none of us ever shall (Dracula 188). Even

Comparison Of Bad Boy And I Was A Skinny Tomboy Kid
The literary pieces, Bad Boy and I Was A Skinny Tomboy Kid , are similar and different in many
ways. Both present common themes that girls and boys are expected to have certain roles. Girls
are expected to play with dolls, wear dresses, and care about makeup. Boys play sports, hate books
and schooling. As a child, it s hard to be yourself and show your true colors. Being different is
quite difficult. Everyone is expected to be this way or that way, we are all special and unique. Both
texts, Bad Boyand I Was a Skinny Tomboy Kid , present similar themes of boys and girls having
expected genderroles as children. The texts take place in the 1950 s, more than 60 years ago. In
that time, gender barriers were strict, girls and boy were expected certain roles. Therefore, children
felt as though they had to conceal their real identities, like a mask covering their appearance. In

Was A Skinny Tomboy Kid shares their ideas of being different in an abstract way. Because of
this, we must infer the meaning of the text, as it is not as direct. In contrast, Bad Boy directly
states the ideas, meanings, and feelings of Walter D. Myer. I don t have to infer the text and his

theme of girls and boys are expected certain roles in our society. Children are faced with

expressing Myers feelings as a child growing up in Harlem in the 1950 s. Being yourself is easier

Inclusion in the Classroom Essay
Inclusion in the Classroom Inclusion in classrooms is defined as combining students with
disabilities and students without disabilities together in an educational environment. It provides all
students with a better sense of belonging. They will enable friendships and evolve feelings of being
a member of a diverse community (Bronson, 1999). Inclusion benefits students without disabilities
by developing a sense of helping others and respecting other diverse people. By this, the students
will build up an appreciation that everyone has unique yet wonderful abilities and personalities
(Bronson, 1999). This will enhance their communication skills later in life. Inclusive classrooms

The whole child must be planned for, not just the parts that are different, (Deiner, 1999). Inclusive
education facilities give all children a chance to work together and be brought up in a diverse
classroom. Inclusive classrooms will also give all the children a chance to see others differences
and be aware of and accept diversity. Inclusion in classrooms can further benefit the communication
skills and sense of community among students with and without disabilities. Children that learn
together, learn to live together (Bronson, 1999). For students with special needs, inclusive
classrooms provide them with a sense of self belonging. The classrooms provide diverse
environments with which the students will evolve feelings of being a member of a diverse
community (Bronson, 1999). For students without disabilities, they learn to develop appreciation
of the diversity. The classrooms provide many opportunities for the students to experience diversity
and realize that everyone has different abilities that are unique and acceptable. From this realization,
the students will learn to be respectful for others with different characteristics (Bronson, 1999).

Rebecca Film Analysis Essay
In Rebecca, Jack Favell, is a very low key villain, he is not very important there more of a villain
in Mrs. Danvers trying to split them apart and destroy I than Jack, the biggest enemy to the main
characters is guilt and feeling out of place and not in control. This lack of control and villain of
themselves is clearly shown in the scene of the home film, you see they were happy and in love
in the honeymoon, but because of fear, doubt and some help for Mrs. Danvers, they lost the love.

The Cost Of A Degree
The Cost Of A Degree
With the changing economy, no one has lifetime employment. But community colleges provide

By allowing free college tuition the ambition gap would become more achievable to students
making them thrive in less stressful schooling environments knowing their college tuition wouldn t

Another way free college tuition would benefit our country is by allowing the education gap at the
bottom to no longer set a standard on education students receive. Thomas L. Friedman author of
The World Is Flat , states, So it made it possible for relatively wealthy people to organize into self
taxing districts. And that meant that wealthy people, by associating with each other, could tax
themselves at relatively low rates and still produce very high per capita per student school budgets,
because of their bigger homes and higher property tax assessments. (360). Funding plays a major
role in how many schools are educated and at what level by levels of poverty, but by allowing free

In order to minimize the numbers gap of students trying to thrive in earning a degree, free college

Resentment towards God in the Religous Poem, Tenebrae
In Tenebrae, Paul Celan channels his resentment towards God through a methodical use of literary
techniques. Celan utilizes several motifs to express his bitterness throughout the religious poem
that allow his emotions to be portrayed in an understandable manner. One may identify death and
a sense of closeness as the major motifs along with drinking and prayer as minor motifs Celan
used to portray his dark emotions. With the use of effective motifs, the key element of role
reversal, and an angered tone, Celan gets his warning to God.
The poem is spoken through humans towards God, with an evident theme of death that is
demonstrated throughout the poem. Death is shown through the sense of slaughter; it is brought
up in the beginning of the poem with the use of words claw, and clawed. It is a possibility that
these words are the author s way of referencing the slaughter. In ritual slaughter animals were killed
not by blunt force, but by something sharp. Knifes or perhaps claws were used to cut the animal
open such that blood flowed freely out the animal1.Celan keeps up the motif of death with the
following verses.
Askew we went there, (10)
went there to bend (11)
down to the trough, to the crater. (12)
To be watered we went there, Lord. (13)
Celan alludes to animals with the metaphor in lines 11 and 12 with the word trough . One may
agree with this idea considering the fact that cattle feed, and drink out of troughs. Crater and
watered could be seen as

The Role Of The Patriots During The Revolutionary War
The role the Patriots played in the revolutionary war.
The revolutionary era refers to the uprising of the common people against authority in the late
1700s. Great Britain ruled the American colonies for several years since 1607. The American
Revolution came as a need from the American people for independence from Great Britain. This
need for independence was stirred up by the enactment of the Stamp Act in American colonies by
the British. American colonies were congenial to liberty and independence due to religion and other
factors. The American people reacted to the stamp act with public resistance in the colonies.

The stamp act was considered taxation without representation of the colonies in the British
Parliament. It was put down as a threat to the freedom of the American people. People began
violently rebelling against the British. These oppositions grew and spread throughout the colonies.
The revolutionary movement divided the colonies into Patriots and Loyalists. Loyalists were
colonists loyal to the British, while the Patriots were in support of the American Revolution. The
Patriots began boycotting goods imported from Great Britain, and substituting them with
homemade goods and cheap inferior goods. The merchants in the colonies were frustrated and
could not sell their goods. Both Britain and the merchants lost profits due to this change. The
importation of British goods was later banned in the American colonies. Merchants were being
forced to sign documents denying the importation of British goods. Merchants whom refused to
sign these documents were sent to the gallows to be tarred and feathered. Additionally, Loyalists
were coerced by the patriots into supporting the American Revolution or they would be lynched in
the gallows. Some loyalists who refused ran away with their families to Great Britain for fear of
being killed. Such actions of people in the colonies frustrated the British and led to the
Revolutionary war.
The American Revolution began in 1775 and continued until 1783. The war started in the north.

An Investigation On American Civil Union
According to police, officers nobody has the right to record. Whether it is publicly, or an
investigation being done outside on the street. Now a days we do not have the right to do
anything outside in the public. My question is why? If we all have the right to do whatever we
want. Many city journalists even people have been arrested for not even committing a crime but
simply filming. You would ask me is this right? Well I would say no it is not right. According to
the law which truly states ( Know Your Rights: Photographers. American Civil Union. ACLU,

the video made me see how police officers don t respect at all. They tend to lie a lot and change
everything around when another police officer comes to help them out. They harass and detain
people with unnecessary reasons.
Although police officers tend to know about the law seems like they really need to get a recap
about what the law states. I believe police officers are there to protect and watch over the public.
But to react in a way that is erroneous and so unfair is just not accurate for me. The video I watch
is about a civilian who was filming traffic stop. The officer approaches him and tells the civilian to

Guy Fawkes is one of England s most famous criminals; the man most closely associated with the

Guy Guido Fawkes was born in April 1570 in Stonegate in York, England. Fawkes grew up in York

Guy Fawkes was sentenced to the traditional traitors death; to be hanged, drawn and quartered .
However, on January 31st 1606, Fawkes jumped from the gallows and broke his own neck. This

Poverty arises in many families and touches them in many methods. Teachers main concerns in

Pet Mental Health
Mental Health Pets can have a variety of different impacts on a person s mental health. Pet
owners are less likely to suffer from various mental health issues such as lethargy (having a lack
of energy), apathy (being uninterested or unenthusiastic), insomnia (the inability to sleep),
depression (feeling despondent, dejected, or in low spirits), and substance abuse (such as
alcoholism or drug addictions). Pets can aid people suffering from depression by helping them
ignore their problems for a period of time, and contribute to clearing their minds. Routine is also
important for people who are depressed, and pets require daily routines, such as feeding times,
walks, and downtime. People with substance abuse problems can be helped by pets as well. Pets
can help to calm people down and reduce tension, which can make it easier for people to open up
and talk about their problems, so others (and themselves) can determine the best way to aid them
in their recovery. Pets can also give people confidence so they feel ready to face their problems.

Mohawk Saint And The Unredeemed Captive
Throughout the stories told in both Mohawk Saint and The Unredeemed Captive, the unintended
consequences of attempting to convert the American Indians to Christianity are powerful players in
the unfolding events. When these Christian groups arrived in the New World, they came armed
with the word of God that they wished to share among a group of people that have never before
encountered the concept of Christianity. While eventually these relationships improved and
Christians and American Indians began to have closer contact, there were still results from the
conversion process that no one could have expected when the progress had started. In both of these
stories, the unintended consequences of the encounters between Christian religious and... Show

She was admitted to take communion on Christmas day, since Catherine appeared to be an
exceptional case... Catherine s initiation into Catholicism was a rapid process and she continued to
be skilled her faith for the rest of her life. This was contrary to what the Jesuit priests had in mind
for their conversion of the Mohawks. As far as they had considered, savages and saints belonged to
different contexts. When converting the Mohawks, the Jesuits had no intentions of possibly finding
a future saint in their midst. The categories were completely separate. It was only later in Catherine
s life that the members of her community began to recognize that she ...possessed extraordinary
spiritual powers and people began seeking her out. While she was not extremely popular and died
mostly in solitude, the story of her piety became known throughout the community. The Jesuits,
who had believed in the separation between the Natives and true religious piety, were forced to
reconsider their interpretations of Catherine s life and her religious devotion. Eventually, this was
cumulate in the writings about her life and the process of her canonization. Although the Jesuits
probably never considered finding a future saint among the Mohawks, they found that with
Catherine s story, a compelling case could be made for her canonization. One of the key

Doctor Of Osteopathy Degree
I aim to pursue a Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic
Medicine. But the question that may arise is why this school? Why choose to pursue a D.O.
degree instead of an M.D. degree? I prefer to study for the former, as it teaches students to treat a
patient as a whole person, rather than isolate a particular area and treat that alone. It teaches to
take into account all factors, all bodily systems, into one, when looking at a patient. I personally
believe that is a key when it comes to diagnosis and treatment. Having been established one
hundred and ten years ago, PCOM is one of the finest institutions of its kind, educating osteopathic
physicians and specialists. Their receiving of a $1.4 million federal grant

The New England Patriots Played Against The Indianapolis...
Introduction
During the 2015 AFC Championship, the New England Patriots played against the Indianapolis
Colts on January 18th in the Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, MA. Prior to halftime, however, the
Colts brought suspicions of the Patriots having deflated their balls. They requested the pressures be
checked at halftime. Two referees, Blakeman and Prioleau, each measured the pressureof both the
Patriots and the Colts balls with separate gauges. The Officials came to the conclusion that all 11
of the patriots balls were underinflated, the required pressure being between 27.2 28.2 pounds per
square inch (psi). Footballs from the colts were also being tested and appeared to be in the
accepted range. This situation was temporarily postponed so the game could continue. The balls
were filled to regulation pressure before restarting. The patriots went on to win 45 7.
Shortly after, the media began to question the cause of the footballs being deflated. Detractors came
to the conclusion they were merely deflated on purpose, while supporters thought they may have
been affected by the cold temperatures that day, which were in the high forties. This lead to the
NFL hiring the independent law firm, PWRWG, to further investigate.
PWRWG is a science law firm which was assigned to determine if the footballs could infact have
been affected by the weather alone. Using the universal gas law to solve for moles (n), it will be
determined if gas was released.

The Role Of Abiotic And Biotic Stresses On The Environment
II. REVIEW OF LITERATURE Agriculture is one of the major sector becoming vulnerable to
climate change. Increased incidences of abiotic and biotic stresses are likely to cause serious
negative impact on crop production. Abiotic stress is defined as the negative impact of non
living factors on the living organisms in a specific environment. The non living variable must
influence the environment beyond its normal range of variation to adversely affect the
performance or individual organism in a significant way. This leads to decrease in the
productivity by more than 50% in major crop plants which are growing word wide (Bray et al.,
2000). Increased water stress, reduction in rainfall and increased air temperature are the major
reasons for yield decline in wheat and paddy crops in many parts of South Asia. The average
increase in temperature per decade is measured to be 0.28 ВєC over land and 0.12 ВєC over ocean
and predicted that it is likely to rise further to a maximum of 2.5 ВєC by 2050 and 5.8 ВєC by
2100 (Jones et al., 1999; Grover et al., 2011). The principal abiotic stresses in India are drought
or soil moisture stress, high temperatures, soil salinity/alkalinity, low pH and metal toxicity
stresses that affect nearly two thirds area forming parts of the arid and semi arid eco systems
(Grover et al., 2011). Development of low cost, easily adaptable methods for the abiotic stress
management is a big challenge. Extensive research is being carried out across the globe, to

Violence Against Aboriginal Women And Girls
A wide ranging number of concerns were raised relating to the way the justice system deals with
violence against Aboriginal women and girls. This included concerns with the police system, the
judicial system, and the correctional system.
Witnesses raised concerns of the non response of police services to cases of violence against
Aboriginal women. In domestic violence situations, police do not always respond in a timely
manner to calls for assistance. Witnesses also stated that police sometimes dismiss claims of sexual
assault if the woman is Aboriginal and leads a high risk lifestyle.
The Committee heard of challenges with the application of the laws, where double charges are
applied by police and Aboriginal women are treated as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Committee has heard mixed testimony about whether alternative justice approaches are
appropriate for domestic violence cases. In Iqaluit, witnesses told the Committee that Elders rarely
ask that people be removed from communities, but prefer to deal with the accused as part of a
family unit and as part of the community. Melanie Nimmo, assistant professor in Criminal Justice,
University of Winnipeg, and Member of the Board, John Howard Society of Manitoba, said that
their restorative justice program instils accountability on the part of the offender while helping to
heal the victim and that 89% of their clients successful complete the program conditions without
reoffending.[41] However, other witnesses voiced concerns that restorative and alternative justice
practices were not a safe resolution for women who have experienced violence. Witnesses suggested
that standards and screening guidelines must be established to ensure that female victims are not re
victimized or put in danger in the process.
Racism continues to be a concern for Aboriginal people in relation to both the police and the
judiciary. Witnesses spoke of establishing a requirement to screen judges and police for prejudices
before hiring and of offering anti racism and anti oppression training, specifically related to
Aboriginal women.

Last 100 Years War
I.Introduction
Question, what was the100 Years War and did it really last 100 years?
II
The 100 Years War was an on and off war between France and England from 1337 to 1453 over
who was the rightful heir to the French throne, among other disputes. Small disputes had been
going on for years but the fight really escalated when King Charles IV of France died without a
male heir. He did have a sister Isabella the mother of Edward III. Therefore, Edward believed that
because of this, he should be king of France. The French however, decided that a cousin of Charles,
Philip, should be crowned king.1
III
There were several battles during the 100 Year War but, some of the most significant battles
included: Battle of Crecy led by Edward III, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

I am going to talk about why these parksare so well known their terrain and some of the things that can be seen at these state parks. There are many different parks in Licking County but there are two well known state parks, Buckeye Lake State Parkand Flint Ridge State Park, in some ways they are the same and some ways are very different. At Flint Ridge State Park you can find craters in the ground which were dug for the flint found in the area. Flint Ridge isn t just a small area it runs from National rd. to the west Appalachian Mountains and all the way South to Florida, as well as running North to Maine. If you go to Flint Ridge and dig in the pits or anywhere in the area for that matter you may find dead Indians or arrowheads that were made by Indians and used for fighting here or getting food. Some of the flint found here is black in color and is not from Flint Ridge. This flint is called Upper Mercer Flint and it is from the Coshocton area. There are many reasons for the different kinds of flint but the best known is that all of the flint on Flint Ridge was brought in by the latest glacier between 11,400 and 12,000 years ago and is so colorful because it is made from flint from here to the Rocky Mountains, and the black flint in the Coshocton area, Upper Mercer, is flint strictly from the Ohio area. All flint is found on the ridges from where it was pushed up by the glacier and not nearly as much at the bottom because that is where all of the heavier rocks ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A simply twenty or thirty minute nap can reprogram a child s memory, behavior, and assist a child who lacks a sufficient night s rest. Furthermore, the section will elaborate on the needs of daytime and night sleep in children who attends kindergarten. Evidence which will support the position of naps in kindergarten will be provided. Forecasting focuses on predicting the timing and quantity of customer demand. Capacity Planning It is essential to accurately predict what products people are willing to purchase. If there is not enough of something people will be angry and if there is too much of another thing you are wasting money as a company. Location Another very important aspect of a successful supermarket, location is important. You must be in an area with the correct demographic of people to have success. Most people will not be willing to drive an hour to go grocery shopping. Inventory Management The entire supermarket must be working closely on inventory management so the perfect amount of inventory is always on hand. As I mentioned before, too little of a product results in loss of sales and unhappy customers, but too much is a waste of resources. Layout of Store A great layout is vital for success. Grocery shopping can sometimes be tedious, so it is essential that the layout makes the process as easy as possible for a consumer. If a customer is having trouble finding things then they might start shopping elsewhere. Also, things that will spoil are usually in the back left of a store because that is where the customer will finish shopping thus reducing the time the product will spend not being refrigerated. • 8. Lithium Batteries And Lithium Ion Batteries While Lithium based batteries have allowed electronic products to become more portable, current applications of lithium based batteries are starting to show the limitations of the current technology. These limitations include aspects such as energy density, charge rate, and the usable lifetime of the battery. Furthermore, over the past decade safety concerns of lithiumion batteries have become more and more apparent in both industrial and consumer uses of lithium based batteries. The push towards electric cars in recent years has resulted in an exponential growth in the demand for lithium ion batteries that have a large capacity since a fully electric car is limited by the max capacity of its battery. According to battery university,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If ignited, these gases can cause enclosed areas to overpressurize, and if unmitigated, this overpressure can result in an explosion and severe damage to the battery and surrounding equipment or people.(9) The risk of this happening increases as battery size increases since if one cell fails in a way that emits a large amount of heat, it can heat up the surrounding cells to heat up and subsequently fail. Jason Hughes conducted a teardown of the lithium ion battery in the Tesla Model S P100D and discovered that the 100 kWh battery contained 8,256 cells, while tesla does have safety measures in place to prevent the cells from being damaged, a single manufacturing defect in any of the 8,256 cells could cause a cascading thermal runaway event. An alternative solution to the limited range of electric vehicles is to offer a large number of publicly available charging stations for electric vehicles. These charging stations boast a charging rate of 170 miles in 30 minutes, which is much faster than the 4 hours and 56 minutes that a standard wall connector would take to charge the car to this range as calculated on Tesla s website(12). The problem with this solution is that while lithium based batteries can be charged quickly through processes such as tesla s supercharging, the longevity of the battery can be greatly damaged by doing so. Fast charging a lithium based battery is most effective then the battery is almost depleted and the voltage per cell ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Motherhood Essay Motherhood Many different aspects of life characterize motherhood. Traditions along with society influence the role of motherhood. Carol Stacks All our Kin, is an essay about the structuring of kin groups (1974, p.47). In the society, if the mother is not mature enough to raise the child, a close female relative takes on the role of the mother; whereas, the man has the option of choosing to claim the child and take on the responsibilities of fatherhood or he can imply that the father could be anyone, which is a socially acceptable reason. It is dishonorable to lose one s virginity before marriage because a mother is portrayed as an honorable and respectful figure. If her virginity is lost before marriage or adultery is committed, the society s respect toward the mother is lost. On 32nd street, society establishes that the birth mother take on the role of the caretaker before birth whereas, in The Flats, it is established after birth. On 32nd street, society implies that it is the woman s duty to bear children. Motherhood is seen not as a last resort but rather as a highly honored role (Horowitz, 1983, p.71). After marriage, a woman s chief purpose is to bear and raise children. In The Flats, if the mother is not emotionally ready to nurture a child , the parental rights are given to a female member of the family who accepts the responsibility as mama (Stack, 1974, p. 49). In the eyes of the community, a young mother who does not perform her duties has not validated her claim to parenthood (Stack, 1974, p.49). When a woman becomes a mother she takes on the expected responsibility of bonding with her child. In The Flats the mama is the women who raises the child, usually for life (Stack, 1974, p.48). • 11. Concept Analysis Of Pain And Pain Concept Analysis of Pain The most common reason that people seek medical care is pain, and pain is the leading cause of disability (Peterson Bredow, 2013, p. 51; National Institute of Health, 2010). Pain is such an important topic in healthcare that the United States congress identified 2000 to 2010 as the Decade of PainControl and Research (Brunner L. S., et al., 2010, p. 231). Unfortunatelly, patients are reporting a small increase in satisfaction with the pain management while in the hospital (Bernhofer, 2011). Pain assessment and treatment can be complex since nurses do not have a tool to quantify it. Pain is considered the fifth vital sign, however, we do not have numbers to guide our interventions. Pain is a subjective expirience that cannot be shared easily. Since nurses spend more time with patients in pain than any other healthcare provider, nurses must have a clear understanding of the concept of pain (Brunner, et al., 2010). Concept analysis main objective is to clarify ideas, to enhance critical thinking, and to promote communication (Rodgers Knafl, 2000). This paper will examine the concept of pain using Wilson s Steps of Concept Analysis (Rodgers Knafl, 2000). Concept analysis are particularly helpful in explaining ambiguous concepts (Rodgers Knafl, 2000). Pain is defined in multiple ways. Also, pain has is associated with a lot of misconceptions. • 15. Unrealism In Salvador Dali s The Persistence Of Memory In art, the details and elements involved help create meaning. Without the elements of art, people could not interpret the meaning of the artwork. The painting called The Persistence of Memory, created by Salvador Dali, uses shapes, background, lines, focal point, eye movement, texture, and value to make the statement: Time will melt away eventually no matter what happens. The importance of The Persistence of Memorystems from the history of Salvador Dali and the 1930s. For example, the artwork demonstrates Einsteins special relativity theory, which suggests that time exists as a relative concept and not a fixed concept. In addition to possessing the traits of surrealism, the artwork also gives a sense of realism. The realism depicted in the images shows how the images can more likely exist in dreams than while awake. In fact, The theme that time is melting came when Dali saw a runny piece of cheese on a hot August day, thus giving him the idea to form the melting clocks (Puchko). To help illustrate the theme, Dali uses several elements of art, such as shapes. Shapes hold importance in illustrating the meaning of art. The shape of the three dimensional object, for example, illustrates a rectangle, making it look like the objects sitting on it exist higher up than the rest of the artwork. The tree looks like a thick line of bark with a thin line of bark branching off of it, which gives it the appearance of holding up the clock. The clocks exist in the shape of ... • 16. A Small Place Part 3 Rhetorical Analysis A Small Place Part 3 Rhetorical Analysis A Small Place, a novel written by Jamaica Kincaid, is a story relating to the small country of Antigua and its dilemmas from Jamaica Kincaid s point of view. In this novel Kincaid is trying to inform her audience that Antigua is in a poor state due to British imperial, government corruption, and tourism. Kincaid exposes her audience to the effect of these very problems in Antigua by using persuasive visual language. In the third part of Jamaica Kincaid s A Small Place, Kincaid does an exceptional job in arguing that, her country Antigua has corrupt government officials due to British influence by appealing effectively to pathos, logos, and ethos. Antigua is a beautiful island in the Caribbean that got its name from Christopher Columbus in 1493 when he first visited the small 108 square mile island (Niddrie). Antigua was later colonized by England in 1632, and won its independence in 1981 (Niddrie). Antigua was originally a country that was planned as a slave breeding colony, but never became one; the slaves who were imported came to live self reliantly in their own community (Niddrie). After, Antigua gained its independence; it established a constitutional monarchy, where the British monarch is still head of state, represented by a governor general (Niddrie). Sadly, Antigua is an impoverished country that has a history of being a victim of British imperialism, government corruption, and tourism (Kincaid). Kincaid informs her audience ... • 17. Why Coal Is Responsible For Destroying The World As far back as the Roman Empire, and indeed probably long before then, coal has been used by humans as a source of heat, providing many advantages over wood, charcoal and other fuels. However, it wasn t until the introduction of the steam engine that coal became a major part of shaping the world. Fueling the industrial revolution, the high energy concentration of coalmade it the standard source of everything from trains to power plants. Coal companies claim that coal, though not perfect, is the best source of energy at this moment, and the negative effects are being mitigated even as we speak. Consumers have a high demand of energy, that cannot be sated by other sources. To this very day, coal continues to drive forward the world, but... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They are focused on finding ways to make coal cleaner for the environment, and have outreach programs to get youth involved in this process as well. Their main claims are that they recognize inextricable linkage between energy, the economy and the environment and support policies that promote the use of coal . They resolve these two seemingly conflicting goals by supporting investments..including capture and storage of CO2 emissions . Coal, they argue, provides the energy security that the United States relies upon. The United States have more coal reserves than the Middle East has oil reserves, and could power the United States for the next 290 years at the current rate of consumption. Even though Coal is becoming less relied upon, they expect coal to remain dominant through at least 2040. The reason for this is low energy costs. States with large coal reserves pay, on average, $0.88 per kilowatt hour (kWh), while states that lack reserves pay $0.1244 per kWh. And outside of the states, consumption is on the rise. There was a 39% increase in demand by 2012, and they are expecting an 80% increase by 2035. But with all this coal, there is going to be more emissions. Southern Louisiana policedetectives Rust Cohle and Marty Hart, in 2012, are asked to revisit their solving of a ritualistic murder case from 1995. The murder of a former student of the Light of the Way Christian Academy lays the foundation, for detective Cohle s doubts about the true design of religion. The True Detective storyline portrays the utilization of religion, education, and politics, by men in power who manipulate and control young innocent children. Questioning the validity of religion within a crime drama series is relative to modern society. The conspiracy within the Catholic Church to suppress hundreds of child molestations committed, by Catholic priests is a pertinent sign represented in True Detective . • 19. Aestheticism In The Picture Of Dorian Gray The Picture of Dorian Grey In The Picture of Dorian Grey, Oscar Wilde, sets out to show the influence of aestheticism in late Victorian era. The philosophy of aestheticism was that art should be judged purely by its beauty and form rather than by any underlying moral message art for art s sake that art merely exist to be beautiful (Buzwell). In writing the preface of the novel Wilde writes, all art is quite useless. (Wilde 4) This statement is in contrast to the events that take place in the novel. The artwork reflects the evil actions of Dorian Grey and a myriad of characters are impacted by the influence the portrait has on its subject. As the novel begins Basil Hallward is in awe of Dorian Grey. It is apparent that Basil Hallward admires Dorian s physical beauty to excess. He paints the young handsome gentleman with enthusiasm. Basil s artistic expression creates a masterpiece. When first describing Dorian to Lord Henry, Basil describes how Dorian has become integral to his artistic expression, suggesting that Basil s interest consists most essentially in Dorian s physical beauty, since that can be represented in Basil s art. As Basil is finishing the portrait and once he is done, almost everything that he says to Dorian is flattery of Dorian s beauty. Dorian becomes in love with the painting and with his own beauty. He grew more and more enamoured of his own beauty, more and more interested in the corruption of his own soul. Basil is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

She is well known for her contribution and conception of modern dance. The choreography was first performed august 13th, 1948 in New London at the Palmer Auditorium. This dance contains movement and techniques commonly found in Graham s work while presenting a compelling performance. The dance s core theme is love and its interactions within life and within others love. Diversion of Angels diverges from previous concepts of dance and does not have a central story. It has, however, a central concept of interactions of love. In my understanding of the dance is that each woman represents a type of love. For example, the woman in red moves quickly and is entrancing. She also had sharp movements that are very dramatic. Her choreography has an abundance of tilts and raised arms. • 23. Symbolism Of Vampirism In Dracula We can also see how the Victorian Society also helps create the story, how it is wrote and how it influences Dracula so much. Vampirism is just a polite way Stoker has made to secretly talk about sex since anything that brought a blush to your cheeks was forbidden during the Victorian era. For example, when Lucy first gets bitten while sleepwalking There was undoubtedly something, long and black, bending over the half reclining white figure (Dracula98). Lucy gets bitten by Dracula and she is already talking with three other men, ends up marrying one, this is in no way the ideal Victorian woman. Not only is she not an ideal Victorian woman, but to add on to the list of why she is not The vampiric tradition of blood sucking is symbolic of the exchange of bodily fluids during sex. For Stoker, writing in the sexually repressed Victorian age, vampirism is a convenient metaphor for sex and the closest he could get to writing about sex in a respectable novel (NovelGuide). As we all know she has many exchanges of bodily fluids, not only the blood sucking of Dracula, but in fact blood transfusions from all three men as they vowed to never speak of it since Arthur believes that the transfusion made him and Lucy truly married None of us said a word of the other operations, and none of us ever shall (Dracula 188). • 29. Resentment towards God in the Religous Poem, Tenebrae In Tenebrae, Paul Celan channels his resentment towards God through a methodical use of literary techniques. Celan utilizes several motifs to express his bitterness throughout the religious poem that allow his emotions to be portrayed in an understandable manner. One may identify death and a sense of closeness as the major motifs along with drinking and prayer as minor motifs Celan used to portray his dark emotions. With the use of effective motifs, the key element of role reversal, and an angered tone, Celan gets his warning to God. The poem is spoken through humans towards God, with an evident theme of death that is demonstrated throughout the poem. Death is shown through the sense of slaughter; it is brought up in the beginning of the poem with the use of words claw, and clawed. It is a possibility that these words are the author s way of referencing the slaughter. In ritual slaughter animals were killed not by blunt force, but by something sharp. Knifes or perhaps claws were used to cut the animal open such that blood flowed freely out the animal1.Celan keeps up the motif of death with the following verses. Askew we went there, (10) went there to bend (11) down to the trough, to the crater. (12) To be watered we went there, Lord. Loyalists were colonists loyal to the British, while the Patriots were in support of the American Revolution. The Patriots began boycotting goods imported from Great Britain, and substituting them with homemade goods and cheap inferior goods. The merchants in the colonies were frustrated and could not sell their goods. Both Britain and the merchants lost profits due to this change. Keep in mind Siddhartha had changed a lot and at first Govinda did not even know who he was, but he stayed to help him anyway. That says a lot about a person. Siddhartha, written by Hermann Hesse, shows the ups and downs of life. Along the way Siddhartha has many tough challenges he encounters, but with the help of many teachers like Govinda, Kamala, and the Ferryman he learns many heartfelt lessons. Siddhartha in a way rewards Govinda for being such a good friend by giving him nirvana. Siddhartha is finally not just caring for himself. He is learning how to be very kind to others and help them along the way as the Ferryman did for him. After Siddhartha is at a very low point in his life he decides to cross over the river. There he sees a woman. Siddhartha has not seen a woman in a long time. He wanders into town and meets a beautiful lady named Kamala. Kamala is like an angel in the eyes of Siddhartha. Siddhartha begs Kamala to teach him how to love. At first Kamala is not really wanting to teach Siddhartha. She tells him that she only teaches this to men who have a lot of money, are nicely dressed, and clean. Siddhartha does not give up though, and he writes a poem for Kamala. Kamala is in love with this poem Siddhartha wrote and decides to help Siddhartha. He talked to her, learned from her, gave her advice, received advice. She understood him more than Govinda. • 40. Pet Mental Health Mental Health Pets can have a variety of different impacts on a person s mental health. Pet owners are less likely to suffer from various mental health issues such as lethargy (having a lack of energy), apathy (being uninterested or unenthusiastic), insomnia (the inability to sleep), depression (feeling despondent, dejected, or in low spirits), and substance abuse (such as alcoholism or drug addictions). Pets can aid people suffering from depression by helping them ignore their problems for a period of time, and contribute to clearing their minds. Routine is also important for people who are depressed, and pets require daily routines, such as feeding times, walks, and downtime. People with substance abuse problems can be helped by pets as well. Pets can help to calm people down and reduce tension, which can make it easier for people to open up and talk about their problems, so others (and themselves) can determine the best way to aid them in their recovery. Pets can also give people confidence so they feel ready to face their problems. Often addicts focus primarily on themselves, and because pets require a lot of attention and are a large responsibility, they can remind people suffering from substance abuse to think about the needs of others, as well as their own. Mohawk Saint And The Unredeemed Captive Throughout the stories told in both Mohawk Saint and The Unredeemed Captive, the unintended consequences of attempting to convert the American Indians to Christianity are powerful players in the unfolding events. When these Christian groups arrived in the New World, they came armed with the word of God that they wished to share among a group of people that have never before encountered the concept of Christianity. While eventually these relationships improved and Christians and American Indians began to have closer contact, there were still results from the conversion process that no one could have expected when the progress had started. She was admitted to take communion on Christmas day, since Catherine appeared to be an exceptional case... Catherine s initiation into Catholicism was a rapid process and she continued to be skilled her faith for the rest of her life. This was contrary to what the Jesuit priests had in mind for their conversion of the Mohawks. As far as they had considered, savages and saints belonged to different contexts. When converting the Mohawks, the Jesuits had no intentions of possibly finding a future saint in their midst. The categories were completely separate. It was only later in Catherine s life that the members of her community began to recognize that she ...possessed extraordinary spiritual powers and people began seeking her out. While she was not extremely popular and died mostly in solitude, the story of her piety became known throughout the community. The Jesuits, who had believed in the separation between the Natives and true religious piety, were forced to reconsider their interpretations of Catherine s life and her religious devotion. Eventually, this was cumulate in the writings about her life and the process of her canonization. Although the Jesuits probably never considered finding a future saint among the Mohawks, they found that with Catherine s story, a compelling case could be made for her canonization. Why choose to pursue a D.O. degree instead of an M.D. degree? I prefer to study for the former, as it teaches students to treat a patient as a whole person, rather than isolate a particular area and treat that alone. It teaches to take into account all factors, all bodily systems, into one, when looking at a patient. I personally believe that is a key when it comes to diagnosis and treatment. • 45. The New England Patriots Played Against The Indianapolis... Introduction During the 2015 AFC Championship, the New England Patriots played against the Indianapolis Colts on January 18th in the Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, MA. Prior to halftime, however, the Colts brought suspicions of the Patriots having deflated their balls. They requested the pressures be checked at halftime. Two referees, Blakeman and Prioleau, each measured the pressureof both the Patriots and the Colts balls with separate gauges. The Officials came to the conclusion that all 11 of the patriots balls were underinflated, the required pressure being between 27.2 28.2 pounds per square inch (psi). Footballs from the colts were also being tested and appeared to be in the accepted range. This situation was temporarily postponed so the game could continue. The balls were filled to regulation pressure before restarting. The patriots went on to win 45 7. Shortly after, the media began to question the cause of the footballs being deflated. Detractors came to the conclusion they were merely deflated on purpose, while supporters thought they may have been affected by the cold temperatures that day, which were in the high forties. This lead to the NFL hiring the independent law firm, PWRWG, to further investigate. PWRWG is a science law firm which was assigned to determine if the footballs could infact have been affected by the weather alone. Using the universal gas law to solve for moles (n), it will be determined if gas was released. Data Pressure of the Patriots ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 46. The Role Of Abiotic And Biotic Stresses On The Environment II. REVIEW OF LITERATURE Agriculture is one of the major sector becoming vulnerable to climate change. Increased incidences of abiotic and biotic stresses are likely to cause serious negative impact on crop production. Abiotic stress is defined as the negative impact of non living factors on the living organisms in a specific environment. The non living variable must influence the environment beyond its normal range of variation to adversely affect the performance or individual organism in a significant way. This leads to decrease in the productivity by more than 50% in major crop plants which are growing word wide (Bray et al., 2000). Increased water stress, reduction in rainfall and increased air temperature are the major reasons for yield decline in wheat and paddy crops in many parts of South Asia. The average increase in temperature per decade is measured to be 0.28 ВєC over land and 0.12 ВєC over ocean and predicted that it is likely to rise further to a maximum of 2.5 ВєC by 2050 and 5.8 ВєC by 2100 (Jones et al., 1999; Grover et al., 2011). The principal abiotic stresses in India are drought or soil moisture stress, high temperatures, soil salinity/alkalinity, low pH and metal toxicity stresses that affect nearly two thirds area forming parts of the arid and semi arid eco systems (Grover et al., 2011). Development of low cost, easily adaptable methods for the abiotic stress management is a big challenge. Extensive research is being carried out across the globe, to ... The Committee has heard mixed testimony about whether alternative justice approaches are appropriate for domestic violence cases. In Iqaluit, witnesses told the Committee that Elders rarely ask that people be removed from communities, but prefer to deal with the accused as part of a family unit and as part of the community. Melanie Nimmo, assistant professor in Criminal Justice, University of Winnipeg, and Member of the Board, John Howard Society of Manitoba, said that their restorative justice program instils accountability on the part of the offender while helping to heal the victim and that 89% of their clients successful complete the program conditions without reoffending.[41] However, other witnesses voiced concerns that restorative and alternative justice practices were not a safe resolution for women who have experienced violence. Witnesses suggested that standards and screening guidelines must be established to ensure that female victims are not re victimized or put in danger in the process. Racism continues to be a concern for Aboriginal people in relation to both the police and the judiciary. Witnesses spoke of establishing a requirement to screen judges and police for prejudices before hiring and of offering anti racism and anti oppression training, specifically related to Aboriginal women. ... II The 100 Years War was an on and off war between France and England from 1337 to 1453 over who was the rightful heir to the French throne, among other disputes.
