101The only company I have worked for is the United States Army .docxhyacinthshackley2629
101
The only company I have worked for is the United States Army so with the limited experience in anything other than military, I chose the Army as my company. The Army has vast amount of areas that need improving and choosing areas that deal with management improvements were relatively easy. Through the years, the Army has expanded and decreased its ranks based on the possible threat around the world. Because of these extreme expansions and contractions, the Army’s evaluation of personnel and getting the right leader to the right position has not always been done with the best-qualified individuals. The Army continues to strive to improve processes and procedures, but is lacking on the way they prepare leaders for selected jobs. I would like to develop a process improvement plan for the Army because the need to recognize top performers and get them to the right jobs with the right training. The Army builds, produces, and develops leaders at every level to take on a myriad of responsibilities but it is the jobs they are assigned that often are not suited for their talents.
Additionally, career development is another area that lacks the necessary focus to prepare future leaders and supervisors with the tools needed to be successful. The Army has career paths developed for a broad general guideline for secession. Many times these path are not the ones that will get you promoted or prepare you for the next position or level.
The use of knowledge management databases are often overlooked or not used. The introduction of computers into our daily lives has helped and hurt the process of getting information out to a massive audience. We have databases filled with knowledge and data and is rarely accessed. Because of rapid changes within each field and the data is so great, it would take considerable amount of time to access and locate the needed materiel. Changing the way we use data and information may be the key that unlocks improvements in personnel actions and career development.
102
Collapse
The organization that I have chosen for my process improvement plan is an organization within the Army Reserves. I work for the Army Reserves as a Department of Defense civilian employee. I support approximately 270 personnel with their administrative needs. There is also an Army Reserve Personnel Action Center (ARPAC) that is located in my building that supports my organization along with four others. The purpose of the ARPAC is to support/improve the readiness of the units and personnel that are assigned to the units they support
The ARPAC needs an improvement plan to their hiring process. They are not as effective as they could be because they don’t have all of the employees they are authorized. The ARPAC is authorized seven employees but only have two. I think most of us know and can relate to the importance of having a full staff within an organization. The workload is distributed evenly when you have a full staff.

Here is the latest FAQs for the OPM Data Breach, provided by the Department of the Navy. As the OPM Data Breach is under federal investigation, this is an ongoing document that will continue to be updated as more information becomes available. Current questions/answers may be found at www.opm.gov.
Summary - In April 2015, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) became aware of a cybersecurity incident affecting its systems and data that may have compromised the personal information of current and former federal employees. The breach pre-dates OPM’s adoption of tougher security controls.
Since the incident was identified, OPM has partnered with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation to determine the impact to current and former to Federal personnel.
Between June 8 and June 19, OPM will send notifications to those individuals whose personal information may have been compromised. OPM estimates that up to 4 million individuals may have been impacted.
In the course of the ongoing investigation into the cyber intrusion that compromised personnel records of current and former federal employees (announced June 4), it was discovered that additional OPM systems were compromised. These systems contain information related to background investigations. OPM, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are working as part of an ongoing investigation to determine the number of people affected by this separate intrusion. OPM will notify those individuals whose information may have been compromised as soon as practicable.
OPM will offer impacted individuals 18 months of credit monitoring services and identity theft insurance through CSID® – a company that specializes in identify theft protection and fraud resolution. The 18-month CSID® membership will be offered to those individuals identified by OPM at no cost.
Since the investigation is on-going, additional exposures may come to light; if this occurs, OPM will conduct additional notifications as necessary.
This document provides guidance on securing social media accounts from cyber attacks. It begins with an overview of protective measures like using strong, unique passwords and reviewing authorized third party applications. It then provides step-by-step instructions for what to do if specific accounts like Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Instagram or Flickr become compromised. The guidelines emphasize immediately changing passwords, deleting unauthorized posts, and reporting any suspicious activity to the relevant social media platform.
Life’s short. Why not make the most of it?
As you have likely experienced, sometimes life gets hectic—even chaotic. Learning to step back and be fully present in the here and now can have an overwhelmingly positive impact. From less stress, to better memory and focus, to savoring life’s simple joys, mindfulness can serve your mind, body, and soul.
Your Department of the Navy Civilian Employee Assistance Program (DONCEAP) can help you find your inner balance and improve your sense of well-being.
The commander of Norfolk Naval Shipyard proclaimed April 2015 as Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month to draw attention to sexual violence as an intolerable crime that impacts military readiness, goes against Navy values, and requires community efforts to educate about prevention and support survivors. The proclamation calls all Navy personnel and families to participate in prevention efforts to strengthen the Navy community and reduce sexual violence through awareness, education, and holding offenders accountable.
The document provides instructions for Department of Navy (DON) personnel to file claims for personal property losses due to incidents like fire, flood, theft, or vandalism. It outlines who can file a claim, the deadlines, required forms and documentation, as well as the claims process and payment methods. Claimants must submit their claim on a DD Form 1842 and DD Form 1844, along with documents like a police report, proof of attempts to file with private insurance, replacement/repair estimates, and photographs of damaged items. The claim will be processed according to the Military Personnel and Civilian Employees Claims Act and claimants will be reimbursed up to the fair market value of damaged or lost items.
The USS Thresher was a nuclear-powered attack submarine that sank in 1963 during sea trials, killing all 129 crew members onboard. While conducting a deep dive test, the submarine reported minor difficulties to an escort ship. Communications were lost shortly after, and the sounds of the submarine attempting emergency measures and its hull crushing were heard. A formal inquiry could not determine the exact cause, but concluded that a failure of a silver-brazed joint in a seawater pipe was most likely. The sinking of the Thresher led to the SUBSAFE submarine safety program to ensure safer conditions for modern submarines and their crews.

How to Manage Reception Report in Odoo 17Celine George
A business may deal with both sales and purchases occasionally. They buy things from vendors and then sell them to their customers. Such dealings can be confusing at times. Because multiple clients may inquire about the same product at the same time, after purchasing those products, customers must be assigned to them. Odoo has a tool called Reception Report that can be used to complete this assignment. By enabling this, a reception report comes automatically after confirming a receipt, from which we can assign products to orders.
