Marketing Principles Of International Marketing
From this course, I learned plenty of international marketing principles and knew that international
environments are quite different from countries to countries. Each market you enter is different, and
what works in one country or region will not work in another. As technology creates leaps in
communication and transportation, the world continues to feel smaller and smaller. It is not that hard
for companies and consumers to conduct business in almost any country around the world thanks to
advances in international trade, and no doubt, the world is tending to be more international, diverse
and muti cultural in multiple ways. In most factors that influenced international marketing, culture has
a great impact on it. A marketer always has to study about the local culture in depth before offering a
product to them, and I think that well understanding of a country s culture is really essential for
international marketing. First of all, to have an effective communication one must send the message
according to the receiver s culture, customs and learning process. There are some major barriers by
which effective communication can be hampered. For example, companies have to be aware of what
their brand name will be when it is translated in another language. Since sometimes when a company
renames their brand in foreign country, it might totally change meaning of its original meaning. It will
be embarrassing if the new name delivers wrong message that company does not

Anxiety, A Psychological, Physiological, And Behavioral...
The definition of anxiety is, a psychological, physiological, and behavioral state induced in animals
and humans by a threat to well being or survival, either actual or potential (Steimer, 2002). Anxiety is
expressed in humans through many different situations, such as having phobias resembling being
afraid of the dark when nothing threatening is there, or having social anxiety corresponding to being
nervous about interacting with others who they do not know. Many people will confuse anxiety with
fear, or use it interchangeably with fear, but there is a difference. Fear is a response to a threat that is
actually there, while anxiety is a learned response to a situation where the danger expressed itself. It
seems to have grown to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Why would this behavior have been developed in humans? There are particular explanations that can
explain this phenomenon. For one, anxiety was developed in an environment where there were many
actual dangers, such as predators, poisonous plants as well as many other threats that were constantly
in the human environment. Humans, as well as other animals in this environment, would probably
benefit more from developing mechanisms that would cause them to avoid taking unnecessary risks to
dangerous phenomenon, or to take proper precautions when doing so, such as traveling in groups for
protection. For example, humans may have developed anxiety towards being out in the dark because it
led to a higher likelihood for those humans to survive until they are able to reproduce, and that
children are anxious of monsters in the dark for the purpose of protection against actual predators that
would devour people and end their bloodlines if they wandered off alone. Humans may be anxious
about trying unusual foods because in ancient times, there were plenty of people that died or got sick
from eating poisonous foods. Socially, why would anxiety evolve in social situations with others? In
the times of our ancestors, if a person acted against the desires of her/his tribe, that person would risk
being punished, killed, or ostracized from the group, the latter of which may lead to almost

The Jewish Population With A Fresh Eyes
Deshen approaches the Jewish population with a fresh eyes. Compared to the other authors of the
works we ve read previously, he skillfully illuminates the past through both an anthropological and
historical lens. His thorough examination of the mellah society, shows the uncanny threads of
commonality the Jewish diaspora throughout that wind through the ages. With this work, the
microcosm of Morocco was revealed with Deshen s discussion of various aspects of life. Modern
stereotypes of the Jewish masculinity, as well as how medieval Jews juggled the spiritual benefits of
baraka with the economic drain of hosting a sage. Most importantly, he shows the enmeshment and
entrenchment in of Jews in a majority Muslim society.
At first glance, the walls of mellah seem like an impermeable membrane between an insular Jewish
community and the majority Muslim population. However, the mellah walls hide an interconnected
society. Through making ties with government officials, Berber protectors in the countryside, and
distant relatives, Moroccan Jewry effectively spanned across Morocco. The extensive self governing
systems among the Jews each town allowed for Jews from other towns maintain connections with
their local officials. Deshen mentions that even though calling on a governing body from another
town, was largely ineffectual. But what s impressive is the fact that it was even necessary at all. It also
mentions that marriages were predominately arranged between men and women of the

Poverty And Poor Education During The Beginning Of Their...

Singapore
Many countries go through periods of extreme poverty and poor education during the beginning of
their colonization. These periods are most often brought about by outside countries trying to impose
themselves and their cultures on these new found countries. The people of the new found countries are
subdued under a mother country and have to live by the mother country s rules. If the country
becomes independent, often times, the extreme poverty and poor education are hard to overcome and
the country is left with a battle to turn itself around. The country of Singapore found itself in this
situation when founded by the British. Eventually, after becoming independent, ... Show more content

5 6). Only perhaps a thousand people inhabited the island of Singapore by the colonial era. Because of
the lack of people at the time, Britain was able to easily colonize Singapore in 1819. Singapore was
founded by British colonial administrator Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles. The country was then deeded
to the English East India Company in 1824 and in 1826 the country was united with Melaka and
Penang to form the Presidency of the Straits Settlements, ruled by British administrators. The
colonizers came into Singapore looking to expand their trade with China and also to prevent the
advancements of the Dutch. The port at Singapore flourished immensely directly after colonization by
Britain.
The British turned Singapore into a major commercial center because of its location on the narrow
passage between the Indian Ocean and the South China Sea (Funk Wagnalls New World
Encyclopedia). The British port at Singapore became an important center for trade with the Chinese.
The use of a free trade port in Singapore attracted many diverse immigrants, especially those
attempting to escape war. Between 1880 and 1940 colonial Singapore attracted tens of thousands of
Chinese immigrant laborers, brought to serve its rapidly growing economy. This caused an immense
increase in the population and more tension in the country. Every group within Singapore wanted to be
able to trade within the flourishing port. Each immigrant

Counterfactual Thinking and Experiences of Regret
Counterfactual thinking and experiences of regret Introduction Counterfactual thinking is the
cognitive process in which individuals can simulate alternative realities, to think about how things
could have turned out differently, with statements such as what if and if only . Counterfactuals can be
either upward, in which alternative realities are improved, or downward, in which alternative realities
are worsened. Reflecting on previous outcomes can make individuals experience regret and this
review will focus on the effects of counterfactual thinking and feelings of regret, which has been
referred to as a counterfactual emotion . Opportunities and regret Roese amp; Summerville (2005) put

Pierro, Leder, Mannetti, Higgins, Kruglanski, amp; Aiello (2008) investigated the effects of
assessment and locomotion modes on engaging in counterfactual thinking and experiencing post
decisional regret. They predicted that people with a higher assessment mode would generate more
counterfactuals and experience more regret as assessment requires critical evaluation and generating
comparisons, they also predicted that people with a higher locomotion mode would generate less
counterfactuals as locomotion suggests an individual is less likely to pay attention to attention and
more likely to focus on moving from state to state without interruption. To test these hypotheses
participants were asked in two studies to imagine purchasing something but it has a negative outcome
and in another study they were asked to recall a time when they purchased something and it had a
negative outcome, regret was measured in each study. The results showed that participants rated
higher in the assessment mode generated more counterfactuals after a negative outcome and
experienced more regret, while participants rated higher in the locomotion mode generated less
counterfactuals and experienced less regret. Summerville (2011) took a step further by incorporating

Copper Carbonate Lab Report
The reaction characteristics of basic copper carbonate 〖mCuCO〗_3⋅n〖Cu(OH)〗_2 were
observed by changing the reaction mole ratio. The reaction mole ratio of sodium carbonate to copper
chloride (II) was controlled from 1.08 to 1.68. Fig. 1 shows the XRD patterns of copper carbonate
powder. At a reaction ratio of 1.08, paratacamite (Cu_2 Cl(OH)_3 ), beside alkali copper carbonate,
was formed because of incomplete reaction at a copper content of 53.9 wt%. Lack of sodium
carbonate may cause incomplete reaction with copper chloride (II) because of low pH (6.0) of the
solution [12]. The copper content according to the reaction mole ratio were 57.7, 50.5, 58.8, 59.3, and
59.8 wt% at the reaction mole ratios of 1.20, 1.32, 1.44, 1.56, and 1.68, respectively. ... Show more

The malachite basic copper carbonate formed as CuCO3 ⋅ Cu(OH)2 shows bright green, whereas that
of azurite formed as 2CuCO3 ⋅ Cu(OH)2 shows strong blue. In this study, most of the manufactured
copper carbonate was converted to malachite basic copper carbonate of bright green at the reaction
mole ratio of 1.20. In the case of low reaction ratio of sodium carbonate, m, the stoichiometric
coefficients of CuCO3, is higher than n, the stoichiometric coefficient of Cu(OH)2, so that the amount
of CuCO3 is generated is more than that of Cu(OH)2. With increasing reaction mole ratio of sodium
carbonate, m is lower than n so that the generation rate of CuCO_3 is lower than that of Cu〖(OH)〗

value of m and n, theoretical copper content becomes 57.5

Reflection On Racism
Of course though the results of my analysis are bias (just like everyone else s) due to my friends and
my already developing political values but it is what I believe to be true. When I sat through that
lecture that day in class I was annoyed because it took me and others off guard and squandered our
time. It left me feeling as if me and my fellow students were separated based upon our races. It formed
a mental segregation in the class dividing us into our respected groups. This event did not frustrate me
because of the scholarship in itself, it was the fact that they were a government subsidised group and a
organization that practices any form of discrimination no matter if it is well intended or not should
never be funded by the federal government. These is what was basically running through my head
during the presentation and lead to me looking at the broader picture and how this could affect a
community or even society as a whole during the following days.I started to think of it in differing
points of view, although nearly impossible even trying to place myself in the shoes of the African
American students it helped to try and find a sturdy reasoning for the program. I found it insulting not
to me but to the very student it was praised for helping. If I was a African American student and was
given racially based scholarship opportunities I wouldn t think of it as a good I would think of it as a
insult saying that blacks need there own because they can t compete

The Middle Passage Analysis
In The Middle Passage Documentary by Steven Spielberg, the trans Atlantic slave trade is analyzed
and broken down to reveal the true horrors endured by millions of African Americans through the four
hundred years it occurred. Step by step, it travels through the journey the slaves suffered through,
from the initial capturing to the moments they arrived in America, only to be auctioned off as no more
than lowly farm animals. The documentary shows the overall journey of the Middle Passage and the
trials involved, but the book Copper Sun by Sharon Draper portrays it in a different light. The novel
follows an enslaved African by the name of Amari through the horrors of the capture, forced
migration, and voyage to the land of the whites. Another perspective within the book is of a white girl
named Polly who is braving the hardships that come with being an indentured servant. Yet what both
the documentary and novel show are the unbreakable spirits of the ones who were forced to withstand
the barbarous actions of the people who imprisoned them. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Persuasive Essay On Drinking Soda
In a recent General Conference address remembered by youth and adults alike, President Dieter F.
Uchtdorf explained the challenge of learning how to use a computer when he first became an apostle
in 1994. He jokingly describes how it took a lot of time, patience, reassurance, and many liters of a
diet soda that shall remain nameless , to which the congregation let out a hearty laugh. President
Uchtdorf s statement about drinking soda became a justification and repeatedly quotable moment for
Latter day Saints who frequently drink caffeinated sodas, despite its similar chemical effects to coffee
and tea, drinks that are well known as against church standards. On September 21, 2017, Brigham
Young University made a change to their distributable goods by starting to sell caffeinated soda drinks
on campus, something Food Services had previously made the decision not to do since the mid 1950s.
This decision not only lead to cheering students who no longer felt the need to smuggle their drinks
from off campus sources, but made international news, inspiring stories from NPR, The Washington
Post, The New York Times, and BBC. However, this decision lead to some disagreement among a few
who believe caffeinated beverages are not in line with the standards of the gospel. The newly offered
caffeinated drinks on BYU campus should not be sold because of the drinks health concerns, addictive
properties, and violation of Word of Wisdom principles. Soda and caffeine have been proven to cause

non tariff barriers between the the US and EU, harmonizing and reducing regulatory requirements and
differences in legislation on various goods produced and traded within these countries. If agreed, it
will create the world s largest free trade zone in the world. Serious concerns have been raised in

Leaked documents about the agreement have revealed the proposed inclusion of Investment State
Dispute Settlements (ISDS), which can be viewed as a neoliberal attack on democracy, resulting in
immeasurable effects on EU governments such as the UK s. This mechanism is designed to protect
foreign organisations investing in another country, and allows companies to claim and sue against that
country if a conflict arises that will limit their profits. The ISDS lies in the foreign corporations favour,
but not in the governments, limiting the UK and many other EU countries governmental authority,
binding them strictly to the rules of the TTIP. ISDS works like a global legal straightjacket that makes
it very, very difficult and expensive for governments to regulate corporations ... It is dangerous for
democracy, claims Pia Eberhardt, of Corporate Europe Observatory (CEO), a Brussels based
campaign group. As a result, the UK government may neglect the rights of workers and domestic
organisations in order to avoid conflict with multinational US corporations; stealthily, the neoliberal
theory underhandedly infiltrating through.
This neo liberal approach of a reduction in the governments authority could threaten organisations
such as the NHS, privatizing the public service to American Investors, the ISDS compensation rules
making it almost impossible

Ancient Calendars
Accepted systems for the division of time into days, months, and years, calendars reflect a human
effort to measure and order extended periods of the future. Scholars divide calendars into three general
categories lunar, solar, and lunisolar depending upon whether their temporal divisions are principally
based upon the movements of the moon or the sun or on a compromise between both. Regarding
Western forms of chronology, in which solar reckoning of time predominates, historians have studied
calendar reform, which encapsulates many scientific advancements and cosmological debates of the
Renaissance and Enlightenment. In their studies of other parts of the world, where ... Show more

Building upon the work of the astronomer Christoph Clavius, whose calculations had produced a
closer approximation of the tropical year, the Gregorian Reform removed centurial leap years, except
for those divisible by 400. While the reform was rapidly accepted throughout Catholic Europe,
Protestant countries were resistant. Over time, new scientific discoveries concerning the mechanics of
the universe were brought to light, causing astronomers, regardless of religious persuasion, to
acknowledge the errors of the old system. Notably, as the work of Sir Isaac Newton in the seventeenth
century effectively annihilated the last remnants of the ancient and flawed Ptolemaic cosmological
model and presented a new vision of the universe, resistance began to erode. Eventually the German
states fell into line by 1699, in large part due to the lobbying efforts of Newton s contemporary,
Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. Still, the change was not accepted until 1752 in England, where, tradition

Impact Of Labor Force In The 21st Century
There is a great change going on in employment trend and labor force in the U.S. in 21st century
because of aging, diversity immigrants and few other factors and it s a dramatic change, from 1950 to
2050. This massive demographic change has an impact on the number of people working or people
looking for work. In the beginning of 21st century the demand for labor force has increased which is
one of the main source for growth and economic progress. Growth rate in population and labor force
has changed the trend in employment today compare to 1950. Today more older people are working,
its more diversified and more women are involved at workplace. There are going to be significant
changes in coming years compare to past 50 years. For example, labor growth rate will be less than
what we had in past 50 years. As per the Mitra Toossi s article A century of change: the U.S. labor
force, 1950 2015 , The high growth rate of civilian labor force in the past 50 years will be replaced by
much lower growth rates in the next 50 years . The main reason to this slowdown in growth of the
labor force is high tech innovation which is reducing the demand of traditional labor force.
Another demographic change in the employment trend is the change in gender structure. We have seen
more number of women at workplace compare past 50 years and their number at work place are
increasing very fast. This change came because of equal rights to women at workplace plus they are
more involved with their

Spirit Possession
This week I have been struggling with centering my paper topic. I want to explore the use of
psychedelics in spirit possessions. More specifically, I want to explore the validity of drug induced
shamanistic experiences like in the case of Amazonian Shamans and their use of Ayahuasca. But I
keep running into the problem of shifting my focus into something that doesn t feel, at least to me, like
topics of spirit possession. This is why I have devoted most of my research into attempting to define
the type of spirit possession I am going to be talking about. I ran across an article by Emma Cohen
that tackles this very task, she states that there are two main forms of possession. One is pathogenic
which results from the operation possession concepts result from the operation of cognitive tools that
deal with the representation of contamination (both positive and negative); the presence of the spirit
entity is typically (but not always) manifested in the form of illness. The other is executive, this type
of possession mobilizes cognitive tools that deal with the world of intentional agents; the spirit entity
is typically represented as taking over the host s executive control, or replacing the host s mind (or
intentional agency), thus assuming control of bodily behaviors. For the purposes of the paper, I think
that I am going to be using both models. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Left Wing single party states achieve power as the result of a revolutionary process against tradition.
Does this adequately explain how any one single party state that you have studied acquired power? In
1917, a revolution took place in Russia that overthrew the traditional Tsarist regime and brought a
single party state, the Bolshevik Party, into power. The Bolshevik party harnessed the revolutionary
spirit from the overthrow of the Tsarist regime in order to overthrow the Provisional government and
eventually seize power. There are several reasons that the Bolshevik Party went against tradition
including the failure of the Tsarist regime and the failure of the Provisional ... Show more content on

One of the main reasons that the Bolsheviks gained support in 1917 was due to the fact that Lenin
rejected any compromise with the propertied classes, and insisted that the power should be held by the
proletariat and the peasants, which was the majority of Russia s population. Another reason for the
Bolshevik s growing support was because the Mensheviks and Social Revolutionaries continued to
support the Provisional Government. The Provisional Government had failed to enact land reforms
demanded by the peasantry and had failed to keep the military from falling apart. As previously
mentioned, the Bolsheviks had harnessed the revolutionary mood of the workers and garrison soldiers
in order to successfully go through with the October Revolution (Connor 1). The Petrograd Soviets
and the Red Guards also supported the overthrow of the Provisional Government as they did not feel it
represented their interests. This gave even more support to the Bolsheviks as they promised the
overthrow of the traditional order. Lenin created the Sovnarkom, which would be the new type of
government in Russia, and would replace the Provisional Government (Provisional Government). The
Sovnarkom s initial objectives represented a revolt against tradition. This is because the objectives
included land collectivization, where land is taken from the nobles, church, and tsar and given to the
peasants, and to empower workers to set up factory committees to take control of factories.

when biological evidence exists. By the same token, DNA can be used to clear suspects and exonerate
persons mistakenly accused or convicted of crimes. In all, DNA technology is increasingly vital to
ensuring accuracy and fairness in the criminal justice system (justice.gov,2014). In today s world of

soon as possible where the items need to be taken out of the bag to thoroughly air dry and examine. If
a CIS can not transport the item to a lab right away it is very important to place the blood item in a

Diet Soda Research Paper
For those of you who think switching from the real thing to diet soda will help in losing weight; you
are in for a rude awakening. More and more research is showing that not only will it not help but there
is evidence that artificially sweetened diet beverages could actually cause you to gain weight.
Researchers at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Medicine did a
ten year study of people who drank diet soda. They studied approximately 500 people and they found
that people who drank two or more diet sodas a day saw their waist line grow 70% more than those
who didn t drink diet soda.
As to why the drinkers of diet soda gain more weight needs additional research before the exact causes
are definitively determined. However, speculation as to the cause focuses on the effects of artificial
sweeteners and how the mind and body reacts to them.

Researchers divided the mice into two groups. Group A ate food laced with the sweetener aspartame.
After three months the aspartame group had higher levels of blood sugar than the mice that ate normal
food. There is also speculation that same is true of other artificial sweeteners even ones made from
sugar derivates or from the Stevia genus of plants.
Besides artificial sweeteners, it is further theorized that high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) has similar
effects on weight gain as artificial sweeteners. HFCS is preferred to cane sugar by food and beverage
manufacturers because it tastes similar to sugar, mixes well and is cheaper than sugar.
As ironic as it is, more and more mounting evidence is proving that sugar may be the more beneficial
sweetener when trying to lose weight. However, weight loss still comes down to consuming fewer
calories than you burn. As we all know sugar is dense in calories so if you absolutely have to have a
sweetener you may very well want to consider using sugar, but use it

Key Elements Of Classical And Operant Conditioning
Behaviourist Theories
This essay examines behaviourist theories and discusses key elements of classical and operant
conditioning. It considers a variety of psychological theorists and profoundly explores their research.
Behaviourism is a psychological approach that explains human development as learning from
experience rather than a result of inborn tendencies or higher order thinking. (Moonie, 2006) The
behaviourist movement began in 1913 when Watson wrote the article Psychology as the behaviourist
views it. Additionally, Pavlov, Thorndike and Skinner worked to develop behavioural theories of
learning. They suggest that all behaviour is learned either through classical or operant conditioning.
(Cardwell and Flanagan, 2012, p.50)
Thorndike s research offered valuable insights into conditioning. He studied the way animals learn
through trial and error by observing their responses in controlled conditions. For example, a hungry
cat would experiment with methods of escaping from a cage to receive a reward of food. When the cat
discovered actions that helped it escape, it would remember them. Thorndike believed any action that
produced a good effect would be imprinted in an animal s mind. In 1898, Thorndike wrote the article,
the Law of Effect which elucidated how consequences govern actions. He presented the idea that
animals and humans learn to repeat actions that provide positive effects and avoid actions which have
negative outcomes. Consequently, his theory provided

Examples Of Civil Disobedience In Antigone
Eye catcher... Civil disobedience is an active refusal to obey (laws, demands, and commands). It can
be from disagreeing with your parents to breaking a law. Civil disobedience is a negative force when
the public is misinformed, breaking laws, punishments way out of hand for the situation, and
misinterpret what is or is not civil.
Transition... When the public is misinformed problems occur. People may think something is civil
disobedience when it actually is civil. For example in Antigone, Creon is misinformed what really
happened to Poloneses body. He first thinks it s a man and done because of a bet. Later to find out,
one of the sister of Poloneses buried her brother out of love breaking the law that Creon put in place.

In the movie Cool Hand Luke, Luke is punished and put in a wooden box for his mother passing away.
He didn t show any signs of running away or violence; so therefore, there was no reason for him to be
punished. After that, Luke started misbehaving and ran away over and over. Another view of this is in
Antigone; when Antigone is punished for burying her brother out of love because her uncle didn t. She
got punished and locked away in a rock jail. She ended up killing herself. Soon after her uncle s son;
which was her lover; found her body and killed himself for what his father did.
Transition... Being civil is normally is very misunderstood by the public. In the story of vendetta she
says she want revenge on a guy and starts to train a dog. She trained a dog to kill on a demand. She
felt it was okay since she wasn t the one killing him, the dog was. Another case when this implied is in
Antigone: Creon felt it was okay to blame one of the brothers for fighting and not give him a funeral.
He also felt that whoever went against him should get punished. Transition... Civil disobedience in the
end is a very negative thing. People should not go against the laws or demands given because most
cases it goes out of hand. There are very few cases that it is for a good

The Theme of Heritage in Everyday Use Essay
Readers of Alice Walker s, Everyday Use , discusses how the narrator realizes that Maggie
understands her own heritage. What does the narrator mean when she says, Just like when I m in
church and the spirit of God touches me and I get happy and shout? Does the narrator do something
amazing that she has not done before? Some readers opine that the narrator knows what it really feels
like to have family. Others say that the narrator recognizes the importance of giving. However, both
these readings are not with the point. The narrator realizes that Maggie should have the quilts because
they embody her heritage.
The title, Everyday Use , has a specific meaning that lashes on to the story. When the narrator, Walker

During an evening after dinner, while Wangero rummages through Walker s trunk, she finds two
quilts. The quilts that Wangero holds were sewn by Grandma Dee. The quilts each symbolize Maggie
s heritage. For instance, One quilt is the Lone Star Pattern. The other is Walk Around the Mountain. In
both of them are scraps of dresses Grandma Dee wore fifty and more years ago. Another one has bits
and pieces of Grandpa Jarrell s Paisley shirts. And one teeny faded blue piece, about the size of a
penny matchbox, that is from Grandpa Ezra s uniform that he wore in the Civil War (125).
The general meaning of heritage is the characteristics and traits of a family passed from one
generation to the next. In this case, the quilts are being passed down from Grandma Dee and Grandpa
Ezra to Walker. But now the question is, who will the quilts pass down to next? Just right after the
controversy, Wangero is unsure about if Maggie should have the quilts because Maggie knows how to
sew. Wangero says, You just will not understand. The point is these quilts, these quilts! (126).
Wangero is attempting to explain to Walker that the quilts have sentimental value. In her own mind,
Walker questions Wangero, what would she do with the quilts? Wangero s response is that she would
display the quilts. Wangero looks over at Maggie and contemplates about the quilts which she holds in
her hands and says, Mama, she can have them, like somebody

Bees Persuasive Speech
Imagine living in a world without bees. What would you eat? What would you wear? What would the
environment be like? You may think that there would be very little change but think again. The
production in crops would decline due to the fact that 70% of the 90% crop species that we consume
are pollinated by bees, not to mention that delicious honey they provide. Because of this, hunger and
poverty would be at an all time high. Our choice in clothing would decrease as well, being that cotton
relies on pollination. Bees even influence our fuel; canola production would plummet causing a
reliance on fossil fuels and resulting in a huge pressure on our environment. Our world would become
a huge, barren desert because of plants not being able to grow. Humans would most likely die off due
to starvation and thirst, and it s all because of bees. In this speech we are going to learn about what all
the buzz is about the benefits of bees to us, then we will learn about the causes of bee extinction... you
wouldn t bee lieve it! Lastly, we will buzz on over to learn about how we can help the bees in our
community.
Now, let s stop to pollinate our first point, our dependence on bees... The way we eat largely depends
on bees and other pollinators. Every 1 in 3 bites of food we eat is another reason to thank a bee.
Coffee, nuts, seeds, berries, fruits, and vegetables are all pollinated and made possible by bees and
without them we would not have most of these foods. The loss of one bee species can affect what we
eat, some bees are used to pollinate certain plants, such as squash bees. Bees can also affect what
nutrients we are getting, bees allow us to have a balanced diet and without bees we would have a diet
that lacks in vital nutrients. As I said before, bees pollinate the 70% out of the 90% of our crops that
we consume, most of the crops that allow us to have a balanced and healthy diet. In a video titled, The
Death of Bees Explained , the author states that the crops that we feed our livestock with are largely
dependent on honey bees, which effects our milk and meat. In result of the large influence, bees are a

To help support this every organisation has an Information system. The UK academy for Information
Systems defines information systems as the means by which organisations and people, using
information technologies, gather, process, store, use and disseminate information
Cashmore and Lyall (1991), explain that the purpose of Information System is to: * Collect and store
data which may be converted into information at some later point in time * Provide operational
information to ensure that everyone can do their job as well as possible and to assist in the general
running of the organisation * Extend the value chain of the business so that the organisation s
information system can link with the information system of customers and suppliers. This should
result in benefits and improved information flows
Importance of Information Sharing and Legal obligations for sourcing, storing and sharing
information
In the previous section we determined the impact of management information on decision making
process within an organisation. One of the Critical Success Factors (CSF) that enables effective
decision making is Information sharing . This allows managers to take the right decision at the right
time.
According to C. Cashmore and R. Lyall (1991), information needs of managers across the organisation
can be linked to the decisions they make. They suggest these can be split into two broad categories: *

It was a breathtaking movie and knew I had to do a review on it. The heart wrenching thriller is
definitely a movie that will keep you at the edge of your seat with never a dull moment.
It s the story of Creasy being hired as a bodyguard for a nine year old girl named Pita Ramos; the
daughter of a wealthy businessman named Samuel Ramos, to protect her from being kidnapped and
held for ransom as it was a common occurrence in mexico, which is where the movie is based.
At the beginning of the movie Creasy and Pita don t have a close relationship as he can barely tolerate
her and says that they re not friends and this is just business, but throughout the movie they bond
when Creasy begins helping Pita with her swimming and a beautiful friendship is formed where
Creasy becomes more like her father figure. When gunman Jesús Ochoa kidnaps Pita, Creasy is
extremely wounded, but sets out to find her and vows to kill anyone involved in or profiting from the
kidnapping. The movie shows Creasy s journey full of unexpected plot twists and heart wrenching

Examples Of Dishonest In The Great Gatsby
The Great Gatsby is an exceptional piece of American literature written by F. Scott Fitzgerald, in
1925. It follows the story of 32 year old Jay Gatsby, from the perspective of newcomer Nick
Carraway. He moves to West Egg, and settles down next to Gatsby, who throws lavish parties for the
neighborhood. Eventually, we find out that Gatsby is pining away for Daisy Buchanan, his love five
years previous. He pursues her, but it turns out to be his pitfall. In the end, Daisy accidentally hits
someone, for which Gatsby takes the blame and gets shot while swimming by the husband of the
woman Daisy hit. The tragic ending can be attributed to one person; Jay Gatsby. He was responsible
for this terrible tragedy because he lied about his character, he refused to deal with the present
situation, and he ruined Tom and Daisy s marriage.
Gatsby is responsible for his own regrettable ending because of his dishonesty and deception. He was
dishonest about a lot of things. He lied about his job, his past, and does nothing to dismiss the wild
rumors surrounding him. Two of these include that he was a German spy, and that he killed a man
once. When they first met when Gatsby was as a poor soldier, he was dishonest to Daisy about his
wealth as well. She said he acted rich , and he did not correct her. This leads to the whole
misunderstanding and rage at the end of the novel when Jay is exposed by Tom for how he made his
money. If he had been honest about how he came to be rich, then there would

The Roots Of Physician Well Being
The roots of physician well being are formed early. While medical school lays a firm foundation for
the essential knowledge physicians must posses, it should also inculcate and promote the ideal
characteristics of compassion, integrity, empathy, professionalism, and commitment to service and life
long learning. 1 Doctors are people of great power, but with great power comes great responsibility.
Such responsibilities and certain qualities that medical students must present are outlined by a major
regulating body of medical health in the UK generally known as the General Medical Council (GMC)
as evident in both of their reports Good Medical Practice 2 and Medical Students: Professionalism and
Fitness to Practice 3 respectively. Such reports are available for medical educators, students, doctors,
as well as the general public. Of the numerous qualities that must be presented, acting with Probity,
Resilience, and Conscientiousness are three main features I will be discussing in this essay. Probity
One of the prime qualities doctors and medical students should particularly abide by is probity, the
quality of having strong moral principles; honest and decency , as defined by the Oxford Dictionary4.
The GMC defines probity as being honest, trustworthy, and acting with integrity2. To supplement this
in an interaction based context with the patient, an Oxford Journal paper suggests that trust is
fundamental in a good patient doctor relationship5. In practical application of

In Philip Larkin s This Be the Verse , the speaker raises the underlying but hidden blame children put
on their parents for the way they turn out. In the first stanza of the poem, the speaker quickly puts
blame on the parents, saying They f*** you up, your mum and dad (1). He then proceeds, saying
although your parents do not mean to mess you up, they still do. With this, he is saying that although
parents do try their best to make their children go on the right path or do what is best for them, they
still ruin our lives, giving us their faults and some of our own too. He then continues to say that it was
not their fault, but their parents fault (his grandparents) because they were stern and argued all the

truth that this poem provided. The speaker did not write about a huge revelation. He wrote about an
obvious but controversial truth. In the poem, the speaker is not hiding any of his feelings. It is
straightforward as can be. He writes about how our faults are not really our faults, but our parents, and
that their faults are not really theirs, but their parents instead. He writes about the continuous cycle of
misery that exists in our human nature. Larkin uses this poem to show us that although we all try to
correct the mistakes our parents passed on to us, we are doomed to negative turmoil. Our future has
already been decided because misery is passed

The story of the great flood is probably the most popular story that has survived for thousands of years
and is still being retold today. It is most commonly related within the context of Judeo Christian
tradition. In the Holy Bible, the book of Genesis uses the flood as a symbol of God s wrath as well as
His hope that the human race can maintain peace and achieve everlasting salvation. The tale of Noah s
Ark begins with God s expression of dismay as to the degenerate state of the human race at the time.
People were behaving wickedly and sinfully and God decided that a genetic cleansing was necessary.

Other similarities consist of the following criteria found in the two stories: The Gods (or God) knew of
one righteous man, Utnapishtim or Noah. The Gods (or God) ordered the hero s to build a multi story
wooden ark. Both of the hero s, in the stories, initially complained about their assignment to build the
boat. The ark would be sealed with pitch, and have many internal compartments. It would have a
single door, and at least one window. The ark was built and loaded with the hero, a few other humans,
and samples from all species of other land animals. A great rain came pouring down, covering the land
with water. The hero s sent out birds at regular intervals to find if any dry land was in the vicinity. The
first two birds returned to the ark. The third bird apparently found dry land because it did not return.
The hero s and their families left the ark, ritually killed an animal, and offered it as a sacrifice. God (or
the gods in the Epic of Gilgamish) smelled the roasted meat of the sacrifice. The hero s were blessed.
The Babylonian gods seemed genuinely sorry for the genocide that they had created. The God of Noah
appears to have regretted his actions as well, because he promised never to do it again.
As much as there were similarities, there were also a number of differences between the two stories.
For instance, Noah received his

Vibrio cholera

Taxonomy and Morphology
Vibrio cholerae is a gram negative bacterium which is causative agent for the diarrheal disease
cholera. Vibrio cholerae is a member of the Vibrionaceae family, which is a facultative anaerobic and
is capable of respiratory and fermentative metabolism. It does not form spores and its motility is due
to the single polar flagellum. Vibrios are highly halophylic and are very sensitive to low pH. (Nair,

Resistance to cholera may be related to the antibody, local immunoglobulin A against the cholera
bacterium or cholera enterotoxin. It can prevent the attachment of the bacteria to the mucosal surface
and also block the binding of cholera enterotoxin. IgA is found in breast milk, and breastfeeding can
increase the immunity of the infants to cholera and other diarrheal diseases. Patient s recovery from
cholera depends on the antibiotics or patient s own immune system and regeneration of the epithelial
cell s of the intestine. (Finkelstein, 1996)
Hygiene and sanitary control
Cholera is closely connected with the poor hygiene and sanitation. The simplest way to control this is
to protect drinking water and food from being contaminated with the human feces. For example,
education and compulsion may help to eradicate careless defecation by the people. Also, it is
necessary to provide such areas with temporary trench type latrines, and the powdered chloride should
be dropped over excreta and soiled surfaces in and around latrines. In the cities, the public latrines
should be maintained properly. Safe disposal of excretes should be certainly done to prevent the
contamination of water sources. Before the sewage would be poured into the rivers and lakes, it
should be chlorinated. (Formadi, 2007)

Abstract
In this research essay, the key characteristic of four elemental market structures (i.e. monopoly,
oligopoly, perfect competition or monopolistic competition) and their derivatives (i.e. differentiated
oligopoly were identified and discussed. Meanwhile other doubts were addressed and being attended
to.
Such as:
To how much extent does the government (in the general sense) has control over the market
structures?
Over a relatively large time frame (a couple of years to a decade), whether are the market structures
ever changing or highly stable?
What are the basic instruments of a typical monetary policy? What does the Federal Reserve do? And
so on so forth.
Some economists claim that politicians manipulate the business cycle to increase their chances of
reelection. If they are right, we should expect economic growth just before national elections. But
what happens after the elections? What are the long term effects of political business cycles? Because
of these issues, some points this paper illustrated might be considered somewhat controversial.

We live in a system of diverse sub systems.
Strikingly similar to an ecosystem, different market structures co exist. They are not particularly
advantageous over one another however.
Each market type has its own specific customers and specific cause to exist. Whatever occurs it

When making the exchange do it privately with direct messaging and give the person your wallet

for the coins and send the person your wallet address, the person will send the coins directly to your

Greek Theatre Development
In the 6th century BCE, a new form of recreation and entertainment was taking place. A new artform
would revolutionize civilization in ancient Greece, and subsequently, the rest of the world. With this
new artform came many inventions and developments that have surpassed centuries and influenced
future creativity. With these developments came the theatre of ancient Greece.
While some sources claim that Greek theatre began around the 6th century, other sources claim that
the origins are vague and subject to debate. There is, however, evidence suggesting that the origins of
Greek theatre can trace back to when Greek farmers would celebrate with feasts, music, and dancing
after a bountiful harvest. Evidence also suggests that Greek theatre also originated as entertainment for
the god Dionysos. There is also not much evidence of how early Greek theatres were built as they
were constantly rebuilt. So far, the only evidence of the ambiance and environment surrounding Greek
theatre is in vase paintings.
Once Greek theater took off, it suddenly became the talk of the town, and by the end of the 6th century
BCE, every city in ancient Greece would hold a theatre, which was usually built along a slope so that
audiences sitting the farthest would be able to see the play take place. These theatrons , though
constantly refurbished, had at least three sections: the orchestra, the skene, and the audience. The
orchestra was where all the acting and performances took place. It was the main

The Politics Of Texas State
The Politics of Texas
The state is made up of different sectors all in existence and intertwined each other. The constitution
serves many functions in the operations of the government and the life of the people governed. The
document houses the rules of the land and the conditions governing the way the various sectors of the
economy react and act in a mutual status. The constitution is the key to the viable existence of the
people of Texas providing the fundamental rules and laws for the inception and operations of legal
laws (Brown et al., 2014). Likewise, the constitution outlines the underlying breakdown of the way the
individual powers and limits to the powers in place exist.
However, although the current 7th constitutional document ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Although the different states exist, there exists subsequent and distinct rules and regulations in each
state governing the operations and legal matters. Nevertheless, the separate states have similarities in
sections such as the human rights and the overall appointment of the president with specifics in term
period. Likewise, there are similarities governing citizenship and amnesty issues and the involvement
in international trade matters.
The public opinion on the various functions and the current state of Texas in the economic and
political arena depicts the view of the people on issues. From the demand for a more congruent
security system at the border which has a significant effect led to the constant immigration of
foreigners into Texas especially from Mexico (Stansfield et al., 2013). However, despite the benefits
accrued such as cheap labor from the undocumented workers, there have also been controversies as
the people are in constant use of the public utilities in place. Part of which they had not played a role
in their establishments such as hospitals, public schools and social amenities paid for by the people
citizens of Texas (English Adams, 2011). Likewise, the media has had a considerable role in depicting
the current state and operations of the local and state governments concerning the people. With the
publishing of existing affairs in newspapers and on televisions, the citizens are therefore informed.
However, the different media has been used

Patricia Parker s Inescapable Romance Analysis
Review of Patricia Parker s Inescapable Romance Parker, Patricia A. Inescapable Romance: Studies in
the Poetics of a Mode. Princeton University, 2016. x, 290p. Romance is a literary term that has
remained shrouded in a cloak of ambiguity for centuries. Many scholars and critics believe that this is
due to the frequent redefinition of the term by those attempting to use it as a genre, mode, or style to
enhance their work. Due to this obscurity, a study in the poetics of romance is an extensive task that is
frequently avoided but desperately needed. Patricia Parker, a professor of English and dramatic
literature at Stanford University, eagerly accepts this task in her work Inescapable Romance: Studies
in the Poetics of a Mode. Parker sets out to approach romance by focusing less on its content or
material than on its form or design a form, above all, which simultaneously quests for and postpones a
particular end, objective, or object (4). This is the inescapable quality of romance its tendency to go on
and on without regard for resolution. Her study covers five centuries by exploring the implications of
romance in the time and works of four celebrated romantic poets: Aristo, Spenser, Milton, and Keats
(7). Through this exploration of individual authors and their works, Parker is able to offer suggestions
of what, poetically, became of them, their influence, and their significance within the variations of a
recurrent mode. She is able to accomplish this

I. INTRODUCTION
Forest has many advantages to human life and the earth as the lungs of the world. In the economic
field, the forestry sector contributes significantly to the national income accounts. The high price of
timber in international market leds to timber exploitation in the early 90 s [S. Syarif, et.al, 2012]. It
encourages illegal logging actifity, which causes adverse effects especially on the economy and
ecology fields. In the economic field, the state revenues declined due to the loss of timber tax and the
chance to produce the high quality products of timber also decreased. In addition, the nature inbalance
causes climate change, declining soil productivity, soil erosion and flooding, habitat destruction, and
loss of biodiversity. To solve the problems, the illegal logging detection system is urgently needed. In
this research, image processing and Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) are applied for the detection.

Filthyrich White People Research Paper
DELOREAN says, I M TIRED OF GHETTO ASS BLACK PEOPLE. Don t blame the victims
DELOREAN. It is the FilthyRich White people who created these cesspools of humanity, by
instituting years of oppression, discrimination, and exploitation. And it is your FilthyRich Black
athletes (M. Jordan 1.1 BILLION), Rappers (P. Diddy 700 Million), and Hollywood stars (Oprah
Winfrey 1.9 BILLION), who fail to speak out, that contribute towards the expansion of these
cesspools, until they are now a major part of every single city in this country. In no way am I
justifying the behavior of these teens, but I will try to explain it. Nineteen years of my 24 year career
were spent in the Bowels of Philadelphia. I know these kids. But only from observing their
experience, NOT, BY HAVING TO LIVE IT. They are products of their cesspool environment. ...

This fellow black classmate was the lightning rod for years of accumulated pent up inferiority and
lack of fair disbursement of society s resources. Unfortunately, not fully understanding the basis for
their anger, they vent it on a falsely perceived cause of it. Keep in mind, the black family was broken
down by each and every slave ship, and then whatever sense of family that remained, was obliterated
by each and every slave auction. After formal slavery ended, they then had to live in the Belly of the
Beast the grossly corrupt and unfair judicial, economic, and social systems (informal slavery),
generation after generation. These kids never stood a chance. It is said by pit bull owners, that they are
one of the most loving and affectionate breed of dog there is. The viciousness, in some of them, is due
solely to how they are

The Assassination Of Wwii And The World
On July 20, 1944, a group of high ranking German military officials attempted to carry out one of the
most daring assassination plots in history, which, had it been successful, might have changed the
course of WWII and the world. On that fateful day, a young staff officer, Colonel Claus Schenk Graf
Von Stauffenberg planted a bomb in the Wolfsschanze (Wolf s lair), the Prussian field headquarters of
Third Reich Fuhrer, Adolf Hitler, who was meeting with his generals, in an attempt to assassinate him
and bring peace to warring Europe. The conspirators involved in the plot were driven by a patriotic
desire to save Germany from absolute destruction in what had been deemed a hopeless war. Colonel
von Stauffenberg and his cohorts recognized that the only way to achieve this was to take the life of
the Fuhrer, seize control of the government, and then attempt to forge peace with the Western allies.
Despite a meticulously planned coup, a single unforeseen action by one of the attending colonels
destroyed all hopes of negotiating a peaceful resolution of the war and forever changed the course of
history. Hitler survived the bombing attempt, exacting revenge on all those involved, and the war
raged on for one more brutal year. The internal assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler on July 20, 1944
failed because the plotters, Stauffenberg, Olbricht, Oster, and many others did not consider the
possibility of an adverse result, acting with overzealous confidence, and poor communication

  • 2. Marketing Principles Of International Marketing From this course, I learned plenty of international marketing principles and knew that international environments are quite different from countries to countries. Each market you enter is different, and what works in one country or region will not work in another. As technology creates leaps in communication and transportation, the world continues to feel smaller and smaller. It is not that hard for companies and consumers to conduct business in almost any country around the world thanks to advances in international trade, and no doubt, the world is tending to be more international, diverse and muti cultural in multiple ways. In most factors that influenced international marketing, culture has a great impact on it. A marketer always has to study about the local culture in depth before offering a product to them, and I think that well understanding of a country s culture is really essential for international marketing. First of all, to have an effective communication one must send the message according to the receiver s culture, customs and learning process. There are some major barriers by which effective communication can be hampered. For example, companies have to be aware of what their brand name will be when it is translated in another language. Since sometimes when a company renames their brand in foreign country, it might totally change meaning of its original meaning. It will be embarrassing if the new name delivers wrong message that company does not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Anxiety, A Psychological, Physiological, And Behavioral... The definition of anxiety is, a psychological, physiological, and behavioral state induced in animals and humans by a threat to well being or survival, either actual or potential (Steimer, 2002). Anxiety is expressed in humans through many different situations, such as having phobias resembling being afraid of the dark when nothing threatening is there, or having social anxiety corresponding to being nervous about interacting with others who they do not know. Many people will confuse anxiety with fear, or use it interchangeably with fear, but there is a difference. Fear is a response to a threat that is actually there, while anxiety is a learned response to a situation where the danger expressed itself. It seems to have grown to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Why would this behavior have been developed in humans? There are particular explanations that can explain this phenomenon. For one, anxiety was developed in an environment where there were many actual dangers, such as predators, poisonous plants as well as many other threats that were constantly in the human environment. Humans, as well as other animals in this environment, would probably benefit more from developing mechanisms that would cause them to avoid taking unnecessary risks to dangerous phenomenon, or to take proper precautions when doing so, such as traveling in groups for protection. For example, humans may have developed anxiety towards being out in the dark because it led to a higher likelihood for those humans to survive until they are able to reproduce, and that children are anxious of monsters in the dark for the purpose of protection against actual predators that would devour people and end their bloodlines if they wandered off alone. Humans may be anxious about trying unusual foods because in ancient times, there were plenty of people that died or got sick from eating poisonous foods. Socially, why would anxiety evolve in social situations with others? In the times of our ancestors, if a person acted against the desires of her/his tribe, that person would risk being punished, killed, or ostracized from the group, the latter of which may lead to almost ... • 4. The Jewish Population With A Fresh Eyes Deshen approaches the Jewish population with a fresh eyes. Compared to the other authors of the works we ve read previously, he skillfully illuminates the past through both an anthropological and historical lens. His thorough examination of the mellah society, shows the uncanny threads of commonality the Jewish diaspora throughout that wind through the ages. With this work, the microcosm of Morocco was revealed with Deshen s discussion of various aspects of life. Modern stereotypes of the Jewish masculinity, as well as how medieval Jews juggled the spiritual benefits of baraka with the economic drain of hosting a sage. Most importantly, he shows the enmeshment and entrenchment in of Jews in a majority Muslim society. At first glance, the walls of mellah seem like an impermeable membrane between an insular Jewish community and the majority Muslim population. However, the mellah walls hide an interconnected society. Through making ties with government officials, Berber protectors in the countryside, and distant relatives, Moroccan Jewry effectively spanned across Morocco. The extensive self governing systems among the Jews each town allowed for Jews from other towns maintain connections with their local officials. Deshen mentions that even though calling on a governing body from another town, was largely ineffectual. But what s impressive is the fact that it was even necessary at all. It also mentions that marriages were predominately arranged between men and women of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Poverty And Poor Education During The Beginning Of Their... Alexis Miller First Year Seminar Dr. Pinter October 20th, 2014 Singapore Many countries go through periods of extreme poverty and poor education during the beginning of their colonization. These periods are most often brought about by outside countries trying to impose themselves and their cultures on these new found countries. The people of the new found countries are subdued under a mother country and have to live by the mother country s rules. If the country becomes independent, often times, the extreme poverty and poor education are hard to overcome and the country is left with a battle to turn itself around. The country of Singapore found itself in this situation when founded by the British. Eventually, after becoming independent, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 5 6). Only perhaps a thousand people inhabited the island of Singapore by the colonial era. Because of the lack of people at the time, Britain was able to easily colonize Singapore in 1819. Singapore was founded by British colonial administrator Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles. The country was then deeded to the English East India Company in 1824 and in 1826 the country was united with Melaka and Penang to form the Presidency of the Straits Settlements, ruled by British administrators. The colonizers came into Singapore looking to expand their trade with China and also to prevent the advancements of the Dutch. The port at Singapore flourished immensely directly after colonization by Britain. The British turned Singapore into a major commercial center because of its location on the narrow passage between the Indian Ocean and the South China Sea (Funk Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia). The British port at Singapore became an important center for trade with the Chinese. The use of a free trade port in Singapore attracted many diverse immigrants, especially those attempting to escape war. Between 1880 and 1940 colonial Singapore attracted tens of thousands of Chinese immigrant laborers, brought to serve its rapidly growing economy. This caused an immense increase in the population and more tension in the country. Every group within Singapore wanted to be able to trade within the flourishing port. Each immigrant ... Counterfactual Thinking and Experiences of Regret Counterfactual thinking and experiences of regret Introduction Counterfactual thinking is the cognitive process in which individuals can simulate alternative realities, to think about how things could have turned out differently, with statements such as what if and if only . Counterfactuals can be either upward, in which alternative realities are improved, or downward, in which alternative realities are worsened. Reflecting on previous outcomes can make individuals experience regret and this review will focus on the effects of counterfactual thinking and feelings of regret, which has been referred to as a counterfactual emotion . Pierro, Leder, Mannetti, Higgins, Kruglanski, amp; Aiello (2008) investigated the effects of assessment and locomotion modes on engaging in counterfactual thinking and experiencing post decisional regret. They predicted that people with a higher assessment mode would generate more counterfactuals and experience more regret as assessment requires critical evaluation and generating comparisons, they also predicted that people with a higher locomotion mode would generate less counterfactuals as locomotion suggests an individual is less likely to pay attention to attention and more likely to focus on moving from state to state without interruption. To test these hypotheses participants were asked in two studies to imagine purchasing something but it has a negative outcome and in another study they were asked to recall a time when they purchased something and it had a negative outcome, regret was measured in each study. The results showed that participants rated higher in the assessment mode generated more counterfactuals after a negative outcome and experienced more regret, while participants rated higher in the locomotion mode generated less counterfactuals and experienced less regret. The reaction mole ratio of sodium carbonate to copper chloride (II) was controlled from 1.08 to 1.68. Fig. 1 shows the XRD patterns of copper carbonate powder. At a reaction ratio of 1.08, paratacamite (Cu_2 Cl(OH)_3 ), beside alkali copper carbonate, was formed because of incomplete reaction at a copper content of 53.9 wt%. Reflection On Racism Of course though the results of my analysis are bias (just like everyone else s) due to my friends and my already developing political values but it is what I believe to be true. When I sat through that lecture that day in class I was annoyed because it took me and others off guard and squandered our time. It left me feeling as if me and my fellow students were separated based upon our races. It formed a mental segregation in the class dividing us into our respected groups. • 9. The Middle Passage Analysis In The Middle Passage Documentary by Steven Spielberg, the trans Atlantic slave trade is analyzed and broken down to reveal the true horrors endured by millions of African Americans through the four hundred years it occurred. Step by step, it travels through the journey the slaves suffered through, from the initial capturing to the moments they arrived in America, only to be auctioned off as no more than lowly farm animals. The documentary shows the overall journey of the Middle Passage and the trials involved, but the book Copper Sun by Sharon Draper portrays it in a different light. The novel follows an enslaved African by the name of Amari through the horrors of the capture, forced migration, and voyage to the land of the whites. Another perspective within the book is of a white girl named Polly who is braving the hardships that come with being an indentured servant. He jokingly describes how it took a lot of time, patience, reassurance, and many liters of a diet soda that shall remain nameless , to which the congregation let out a hearty laugh. President Uchtdorf s statement about drinking soda became a justification and repeatedly quotable moment for Latter day Saints who frequently drink caffeinated sodas, despite its similar chemical effects to coffee and tea, drinks that are well known as against church standards. On September 21, 2017, Brigham Young University made a change to their distributable goods by starting to sell caffeinated soda drinks on campus, something Food Services had previously made the decision not to do since the mid 1950s. This decision not only lead to cheering students who no longer felt the need to smuggle their drinks from off campus sources, but made international news, inspiring stories from NPR, The Washington Post, The New York Times, and BBC. However, this decision lead to some disagreement among a few who believe caffeinated beverages are not in line with the standards of the gospel. Scholars divide calendars into three general categories lunar, solar, and lunisolar depending upon whether their temporal divisions are principally based upon the movements of the moon or the sun or on a compromise between both. Impact Of Labor Force In The 21st Century There is a great change going on in employment trend and labor force in the U.S. in 21st century because of aging, diversity immigrants and few other factors and it s a dramatic change, from 1950 to 2050. This massive demographic change has an impact on the number of people working or people looking for work. In the beginning of 21st century the demand for labor force has increased which is one of the main source for growth and economic progress. Growth rate in population and labor force has changed the trend in employment today compare to 1950. Today more older people are working, its more diversified and more women are involved at workplace. There are going to be significant changes in coming years compare to past 50 years. For example, labor growth rate will be less than what we had in past 50 years. As per the Mitra Toossi s article A century of change: the U.S. labor force, 1950 2015 , The high growth rate of civilian labor force in the past 50 years will be replaced by much lower growth rates in the next 50 years . The main reason to this slowdown in growth of the labor force is high tech innovation which is reducing the demand of traditional labor force. Another demographic change in the employment trend is the change in gender structure. More specifically, I want to explore the validity of drug induced shamanistic experiences like in the case of Amazonian Shamans and their use of Ayahuasca. But I keep running into the problem of shifting my focus into something that doesn t feel, at least to me, like topics of spirit possession. This is why I have devoted most of my research into attempting to define the type of spirit possession I am going to be talking about. I ran across an article by Emma Cohen that tackles this very task, she states that there are two main forms of possession. One is pathogenic which results from the operation possession concepts result from the operation of cognitive tools that deal with the representation of contamination (both positive and negative); the presence of the spirit entity is typically (but not always) manifested in the form of illness. The other is executive, this type of possession mobilizes cognitive tools that deal with the world of intentional agents; the spirit entity is typically represented as taking over the host s executive control, or replacing the host s mind (or intentional agency), thus assuming control of bodily behaviors. For the purposes of the paper, I think that I am going to be using both models. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One of the main reasons that the Bolsheviks gained support in 1917 was due to the fact that Lenin rejected any compromise with the propertied classes, and insisted that the power should be held by the proletariat and the peasants, which was the majority of Russia s population. Another reason for the Bolshevik s growing support was because the Mensheviks and Social Revolutionaries continued to support the Provisional Government. The Provisional Government had failed to enact land reforms demanded by the peasantry and had failed to keep the military from falling apart. As previously mentioned, the Bolsheviks had harnessed the revolutionary mood of the workers and garrison soldiers in order to successfully go through with the October Revolution (Connor 1). The Petrograd Soviets and the Red Guards also supported the overthrow of the Provisional Government as they did not feel it represented their interests. This gave even more support to the Bolsheviks as they promised the overthrow of the traditional order. Lenin created the Sovnarkom, which would be the new type of government in Russia, and would replace the Provisional Government (Provisional Government). The Sovnarkom s initial objectives represented a revolt against tradition. • 18. Key Elements Of Classical And Operant Conditioning Behaviourist Theories This essay examines behaviourist theories and discusses key elements of classical and operant conditioning. It considers a variety of psychological theorists and profoundly explores their research. Behaviourism is a psychological approach that explains human development as learning from experience rather than a result of inborn tendencies or higher order thinking. (Moonie, 2006) The behaviourist movement began in 1913 when Watson wrote the article Psychology as the behaviourist views it. Additionally, Pavlov, Thorndike and Skinner worked to develop behavioural theories of learning. They suggest that all behaviour is learned either through classical or operant conditioning. (Cardwell and Flanagan, 2012, p.50) Thorndike s research offered valuable insights into conditioning. He studied the way animals learn through trial and error by observing their responses in controlled conditions. For example, a hungry cat would experiment with methods of escaping from a cage to receive a reward of food. When the cat discovered actions that helped it escape, it would remember them. Thorndike believed any action that produced a good effect would be imprinted in an animal s mind. In 1898, Thorndike wrote the article, the Law of Effect which elucidated how consequences govern actions. He presented the idea that animals and humans learn to repeat actions that provide positive effects and avoid actions which have negative outcomes. Consequently, his theory provided ... Advantages and Disadvantages of Ad and Dc Essay 1 HSC PHYSICS MOTORS AND GENERATORS| AC DC Gather secondary information to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of AC and DC generators and relate these to their use. AC generators Advantages  The slip rings of an AC generator have a continuous surface that allows the brushes to remain in contact with the ring s surface. Thus the brushes in an AC generator do not wear out as fast as in a DC generator as they do not create an electric short circuit every half turn.  Therefore they required less maintenance and is more reliable that DC generators.  AC s voltage can be changed by transformers. Tesla s invention of the induction motor in 1888 largely popularised the commercialisation of AC. o AC induction motors is run by continuously moving a strong magnet back and forth near copper/aluminium that induces eddy currents in the copper/aluminium plate, which will cause it to follow the movement of the magnet generating rotational kinetic energy. o Because AC induction motors do not require a commutator (as kinetic energy is created by induction), it has the advantage of higher efficiency and lower maintenance as no contact of material is needed. o 90% of motors are AC induction motors used in fans, hair dryers, fridges, washing machines and vacuum cleaners AC AC

What does the narrator mean when she says, Just like when I m in church and the spirit of God touches me and I get happy and shout? Does the narrator do something amazing that she has not done before? Some readers opine that the narrator knows what it really feels like to have family. Others say that the narrator recognizes the importance of giving. However, both these readings are not with the point. The quilts each symbolize Maggie s heritage. For instance, One quilt is the Lone Star Pattern. The other is Walk Around the Mountain. In both of them are scraps of dresses Grandma Dee wore fifty and more years ago. Another one has bits and pieces of Grandpa Jarrell s Paisley shirts. And one teeny faded blue piece, about the size of a penny matchbox, that is from Grandpa Ezra s uniform that he wore in the Civil War (125). The general meaning of heritage is the characteristics and traits of a family passed from one generation to the next. In this case, the quilts are being passed down from Grandma Dee and Grandpa Ezra to Walker. But now the question is, who will the quilts pass down to next? Just right after the controversy, Wangero is unsure about if Maggie should have the quilts because Maggie knows how to sew. Wangero says, You just will not understand. The point is these quilts, these quilts! (126). Wangero is attempting to explain to Walker that the quilts have sentimental value. • 23. Bees Persuasive Speech Imagine living in a world without bees. What would you eat? What would you wear? What would the environment be like? You may think that there would be very little change but think again. The production in crops would decline due to the fact that 70% of the 90% crop species that we consume are pollinated by bees, not to mention that delicious honey they provide. Because of this, hunger and poverty would be at an all time high. Our choice in clothing would decrease as well, being that cotton relies on pollination. Bees even influence our fuel; canola production would plummet causing a reliance on fossil fuels and resulting in a huge pressure on our environment. Our world would become a huge, barren desert because of plants not being able to grow. Humans would most likely die off due to starvation and thirst, and it s all because of bees. In this speech we are going to learn about what all the buzz is about the benefits of bees to us, then we will learn about the causes of bee extinction... you wouldn t bee lieve it! Lastly, we will buzz on over to learn about how we can help the bees in our community. Now, let s stop to pollinate our first point, our dependence on bees... The way we eat largely depends on bees and other pollinators. Every 1 in 3 bites of food we eat is another reason to thank a bee. Coffee, nuts, seeds, berries, fruits, and vegetables are all pollinated and made possible by bees and without them we would not have most of these foods. The loss of one bee species can affect what we eat, some bees are used to pollinate certain plants, such as squash bees. Bees can also affect what nutrients we are getting, bees allow us to have a balanced diet and without bees we would have a diet that lacks in vital nutrients. As I said before, bees pollinate the 70% out of the 90% of our crops that we consume, most of the crops that allow us to have a balanced and healthy diet. In a video titled, The Death of Bees Explained , the author states that the crops that we feed our livestock with are largely dependent on honey bees, which effects our milk and meat. It follows the story of 32 year old Jay Gatsby, from the perspective of newcomer Nick Carraway. He moves to West Egg, and settles down next to Gatsby, who throws lavish parties for the neighborhood. Eventually, we find out that Gatsby is pining away for Daisy Buchanan, his love five years previous. He pursues her, but it turns out to be his pitfall. In the end, Daisy accidentally hits someone, for which Gatsby takes the blame and gets shot while swimming by the husband of the woman Daisy hit. The tragic ending can be attributed to one person; Jay Gatsby. He was responsible for this terrible tragedy because he lied about his character, he refused to deal with the present situation, and he ruined Tom and Daisy s marriage. Gatsby is responsible for his own regrettable ending because of his dishonesty and deception. He was dishonest about a lot of things. He lied about his job, his past, and does nothing to dismiss the wild rumors surrounding him. Two of these include that he was a German spy, and that he killed a man once. When they first met when Gatsby was as a poor soldier, he was dishonest to Daisy about his wealth as well. She said he acted rich , and he did not correct her. While medical school lays a firm foundation for the essential knowledge physicians must posses, it should also inculcate and promote the ideal characteristics of compassion, integrity, empathy, professionalism, and commitment to service and life long learning. 1 Doctors are people of great power, but with great power comes great responsibility. Such responsibilities and certain qualities that medical students must present are outlined by a major regulating body of medical health in the UK generally known as the General Medical Council (GMC) as evident in both of their reports Good Medical Practice 2 and Medical Students: Professionalism and Fitness to Practice 3 respectively. Such reports are available for medical educators, students, doctors, as well as the general public. The hero s sent out birds at regular intervals to find if any dry land was in the vicinity. The first two birds returned to the ark. The third bird apparently found dry land because it did not return. The hero s and their families left the ark, ritually killed an animal, and offered it as a sacrifice. God (or the gods in the Epic of Gilgamish) smelled the roasted meat of the sacrifice. The hero s were blessed. The Babylonian gods seemed genuinely sorry for the genocide that they had created. While some sources claim that Greek theatre began around the 6th century, other sources claim that the origins are vague and subject to debate. There is, however, evidence suggesting that the origins of Greek theatre can trace back to when Greek farmers would celebrate with feasts, music, and dancing after a bountiful harvest. Evidence also suggests that Greek theatre also originated as entertainment for the god Dionysos. • 41. Patricia Parker s Inescapable Romance Analysis Review of Patricia Parker s Inescapable Romance Parker, Patricia A. Inescapable Romance: Studies in the Poetics of a Mode. Princeton University, 2016. x, 290p. Romance is a literary term that has remained shrouded in a cloak of ambiguity for centuries. Many scholars and critics believe that this is due to the frequent redefinition of the term by those attempting to use it as a genre, mode, or style to enhance their work. Due to this obscurity, a study in the poetics of romance is an extensive task that is frequently avoided but desperately needed. Patricia Parker, a professor of English and dramatic literature at Stanford University, eagerly accepts this task in her work Inescapable Romance: Studies in the Poetics of a Mode. Parker sets out to approach romance by focusing less on its content or material than on its form or design a form, above all, which simultaneously quests for and postpones a particular end, objective, or object (4). This is the inescapable quality of romance its tendency to go on and on without regard for resolution. Her study covers five centuries by exploring the implications of romance in the time and works of four celebrated romantic poets: Aristo, Spenser, Milton, and Keats (7). Through this exploration of individual authors and their works, Parker is able to offer suggestions of what, poetically, became of them, their influence, and their significance within the variations of a recurrent mode. She is able to accomplish this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

INTRODUCTION Forest has many advantages to human life and the earth as the lungs of the world. In the economic field, the forestry sector contributes significantly to the national income accounts. The high price of timber in international market leds to timber exploitation in the early 90 s [S. Syarif, et.al, 2012]. It encourages illegal logging actifity, which causes adverse effects especially on the economy and ecology fields. In the economic field, the state revenues declined due to the loss of timber tax and the chance to produce the high quality products of timber also decreased. In addition, the nature inbalance causes climate change, declining soil productivity, soil erosion and flooding, habitat destruction, and loss of biodiversity. To solve the problems, the illegal logging detection system is urgently needed. In this research, image processing and Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) are applied for the detection. Nowadays, ... • 44. The Assassination Of Wwii And The World On July 20, 1944, a group of high ranking German military officials attempted to carry out one of the most daring assassination plots in history, which, had it been successful, might have changed the course of WWII and the world. On that fateful day, a young staff officer, Colonel Claus Schenk Graf Von Stauffenberg planted a bomb in the Wolfsschanze (Wolf s lair), the Prussian field headquarters of Third Reich Fuhrer, Adolf Hitler, who was meeting with his generals, in an attempt to assassinate him and bring peace to warring Europe. The conspirators involved in the plot were driven by a patriotic desire to save Germany from absolute destruction in what had been deemed a hopeless war. Colonel von Stauffenberg and his cohorts recognized that the only way to achieve this was to take the life of the Fuhrer, seize control of the government, and then attempt to forge peace with the Western allies. Despite a meticulously planned coup, a single unforeseen action by one of the attending colonels destroyed all hopes of negotiating a peaceful resolution of the war and forever changed the course of history. Hitler survived the bombing attempt, exacting revenge on all those involved, and the war raged on for one more brutal year. The internal assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler on July 20, 1944 failed because the plotters, Stauffenberg, Olbricht, Oster, and many others did not consider the possibility of an adverse result, acting with overzealous confidence, and poor communication ...
