Fund Raising and Lifelong Learning are two 3rd mission activities that are intimal related. Lifelong Learning is a matter of fact one of the most fundamental activities Universities are facing the last 30 years. And Fund Raising arises as one of the most powerful tool that can be used to generate new spaces of collaboration among Universities, other Institutions, the Industry and the Society. But traditional fundraising (to ask money for University social activity) has been disappeared from the usual arena. This Fund Raising 1.0 orientation has evolved to other more sophisticated way of reaching funds, based on 3 different strategies: to be more efficient (internal fund raising), to valorise resources under use and to valorise the institutional relational capital. Combinations of the tree strategies have created the Fund Raising 2.0 approach. In this paper, this innovative way of developing new LLL projects will be described and one case study, the open innovation
This document discusses university-industry partnerships and strategies to improve them. The key points are:
1. Universities aim to disseminate knowledge through teaching and research while also improving graduate employability and attracting resources. However, universities and industry operate differently.

[EMC-LM 2nd convention] Emc micro credentials by Matthew Hodges, MiradaxEADTU
The document discusses the European MOOC Consortium's ambitions to establish a common microcredential framework (CMF). The CMF would provide credentials for online courses between 100-150 hours at levels 5-7 of the European Qualifications Framework. It would include assessment, verification of identity, and transcripts documenting learning outcomes and credits earned. The goal is to address needs of employers and learners for smaller, stackable credentials and facilitate collaboration across European higher education systems. Achieving these goals requires engaging universities, employment organizations, companies, and other stakeholders. The European Commission also aims to support quality, transparency and adoption of microcredentials across the EU through its new framework.
The EUCEBS project aims to develop a multi-lingual, competence-based certification called the European Certificate of Basic Skills (EUCEBS) that will assess skills in communication, numeracy, ICT, learning to learn, interpersonal skills, and citizenship. The certification is being developed by a partnership of organizations across Europe and will provide a standardized assessment of basic skills for employers across European countries. The project has developed an online portfolio system and website for the certification and plans to make the certification interoperable with the Europass system for increased transparency of qualifications in Europe.

How can quality be developed and how institutions can implement a continuous improvement approach in an effective and sustainable way? Can a single tool or model meet such a range of needs? Is possible to use tools to survive institutional regressions? The UNIQM project addressed answers to all these questions.
Facilitating lifelong learning through the use of blockchain technologyAlexander Mikroyannidis
The QualiChain project aims to facilitate lifelong learning through the use of blockchain technology. It envisions a more decentralized education model where learners have more ownership over their learning experiences and qualifications. The project will develop and pilot blockchain-based solutions for storing, sharing, and verifying education and employment qualifications. It involves several pilots across universities and public sector organizations in Europe to optimize processes like curriculum design, credentials verification, and staff recruitment.

[OOFHEC2018] Darco Jansen: Current status of micro-credentials and short prog...EADTU
The document discusses short learning programs (SLPs) in Europe. It notes that lifelong learning and continuous professional development are underdeveloped in much of the EU. SLPs can help address this by providing flexible, scalable online/blended programs to keep workforce skills up to date. SLPs also anticipate future careers better than degree programs and can serve as building blocks for degrees. The E-SLP project is defining SLP concepts, developing guidelines for collaborative SLPs and recognition frameworks, and mainstreaming SLPs at universities alongside degrees and open education. Emerging are three areas of provision: degree education, continuous education including SLPs, and open education like MOOCs.

The document outlines various ideas for how a small career development center at University College Dublin can provide impactful career support to 6,000 students with limited resources. Some suggestions include conducting student research to establish needs and priorities, developing online and in-person services, outsourcing certain functions, collaborating with other universities and industry partners, marketing services effectively, and continually improving offerings based on feedback. The goal is to help students successfully transition from college to employment.

E slp policy forum - institutional policies by ingrid thaler (fern uni)EADTU
The document discusses surveys conducted on short learning programs (SLPs) at partner institutions and their strategic embedding. It finds that SLPs vary significantly in size, language, entry requirements, and quality assurance practices. Recommendations are provided to standardize SLPs as 5-30 ECTS academic units integrated into the Bologna Process, develop a fast quality assurance process, dedicate European funding for SLP development, and increase their visibility through an online repository. SLPs could help maintain learner interest in higher education, challenge existing business models, and act as incubators for innovation if given proper recognition.

How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.
