This document provides instructions for creating a PowerPoint presentation about a magazine. It outlines 7 tasks: 1) Add a theme matching the magazine design. 2) Include a sliding logo. 3) Explain magazine features. 4) Include research charts. 5) Show the cover image and reasons for choice. 6) End with the fading logo. 7) Do a pitch presentation for the teacher using the PowerPoint. Completing all tasks and the pitch will demonstrate the work done for the magazine design.

Software
To complete this task you need all the work you have
created to date.
Your questionnaires and results explain what you are
going put in your magazine and why
Your logos you designs using DAFONT
Your photos you have taken and edited
All work must be proof read, spell checked & saved
in an appropriate folder using a sensible name so
you will be able to find the work again
3. Task 1 -the title and theme
Create a power point presentation called City Life
Presentation. It must include;
A suitable theme design that is in keeping with the
design of your magazine. To change the theme click
“theme” at the top scroll along until you find one that
will go with your magazine and select it
4. Task 2 – sliding logos
Create a slide with the magazine logo you designed
using DAFONT with a title on the 1st slide – sliding into
view from any angle – to do this you need to select the
“transitions” tool from the top of the screen and select
one which makes the text slide into view
5. Task 3 – magazine features
Create a slide explaining the different features that will
be in your magazine – use for questionnaires and the
research you did into magazine covers
6. Task 4 – your research
Create a slide with charts explaining how you have
used your research when designing the magazine –
you have already done this on a previous power point.
Create a slide explaining how your work takes into
account copyright – you have already done this on a
previous power point
7. Task 5 - images
Create a slide showing the image you have used on
the cover and give reasons for your choice.
eg your brief was to create a cover which shows the
positives in Manchester and Salford – what is your
image of and why is a good image?
Create a slide with the cover design and double page
spread layout
8. Task 6 – the ending
Your last slide should be the magazine logo on the last
slide fading out to black screen – you do this by using
the transitions tool again
9. Task 7- The Pitch
You will be using your presentation to do a Dragons
Den style pitch to your teacher. Explaining why your
magazine is going to be amazing and everyone will
want to buy it.
Your teacher will complete a witness statement to say
you have done this and asses your presenting skills
