It, they, this, that, these, those, somebody, which, she
(Try to avoid overuse of those pronouns)
Example: After buying some dresses, Cathy put them in the closet.
“them” clearly refer to the noun “dresses”
Every pronouns must clearly refer to a particular nouns.

3. The unclear pronouns might refer to more than one nouns, it’s
easy to confuse readers of the writer’s intended meaning.
Unclear: After putting the dress in the closet, Cathy give it away.
The pronoun it is unclear, it could refer either to dress or to closet.
Clear: After putting the dress in the closet, Cathy give the dress away.
Unclear: Jennifer’s sister wondered if she were tall enough to be a model.
The pronoun she is unclear, she could refer either to Jennifer or to her sister.
Clear: Jennifer’s sister wondered if Jennifer were tall enough to be a model.

4. Try to avoid pronouns overuse (use a pronoun
two or three times maximum, then refer back to the noun )
Example: Cathy had a great weekend. She woke up in the morning; she
went to a bookstore; she bought some books; then she went to a pet store to
get dog food. After this she went to her friend – Jennifer’s house, they had
dinner, they played with Jennifer’s dogs, they are really cute, then they
watched a movie together, then she went home. What a great weekend!
Correct example: Cathy had a great weekend. She woke up in the morning
and went to bookstore bought some books; then she went to a pet store to
get dog food. After this, Cathy went to her friend--Jennifer's house, they had
dinner also played with Jennifer's dogs, the dogs are really cute, afterwards
Cathy and Jennifer watched a movie together, then Cathy went home. What
a great weekend!
