The document discusses UI design for social commerce. It emphasizes designing reputation systems that are sensitive to individual goals and potential conflicts. A case study of the social bookmarking site Earthfaves is presented, which uses a balanced design of points, named levels, collectible achievements, and cross-linking to encourage participation and establish trusted recommendations. The goal is to create a successful commerce site by developing a flexible social reputation model and design.

What do UX specialist and PHP developers have in common? Probably more than you are aware.
I will be doing a session covering what UX is, how it's different than UI and how UX is a close cousin to development with plenty of "how to get started" info.
So come join us this Oct for a light philosophical discussion on disciplines and how to get start doing UX in your programming life.

Putting the "User" back in User ExperienceJeremy Johnson
If you ask a organization "Are you customer centric?" - of course they say "yes", but as you peel back the layers too many organizations have teams of people building products - and the user is nowhere in sight. This talk will go over a number of ways to include users in your product design process, from start to finish. It's time we truly live up to the term "User Experience".
Here's a deck I put together for our weekly learning seminar at Verbal+Visual.
Special thanks for General Assembly, my instructors Luke Miller, Rashida White, and Nevan Scott.

For UX Professionals and people new to the UX Practice. Our February 2017 TC UX Meetup looked at a number of different UX Tools and Technologies, and gave an overview of pros and cons of use, plus looked at how to make informed choices about selecting one tool vs another.
Nick will explore the best practices of user experience by reviewing some of the most popular and highly trafficked websites today such as eBay, Amazon, Toyota, Flickr, Twitter, Netflix and more. Nick will identify and explain both good an bad experiences on these sites on the merits of visual design, information architecture, interaction, and ease of use. If there is time we will open the floor for audience submissions and to provide quick feedback and areas of improvement.
In its own terms, Ello is "a simple, beautiful, and ad-free social network". How easy-to-use and attractive is it really? To find out, UID conducted a survey with potential users focusing on registration and privacy settings. Based on the survey, UID stated suggestions to improve Ello.

Talk "Multimodal, Collaborative & Autonomous" from IoT Meetup on October 20 2020 by Jan Groenefeld, Solution Manager Industry, Lead UX Designer, Ergosign.
The times of the "single point of interaction" on the wide format multi- touch screen are numbered. Multiple touch points with cross-modality interaction options - from touch to speech to gestures - will become standard in the everyday work of machine operators in the medium term. In addition, there is a progressive interconnectedness of our physical environment, as well as the digital-sensory extension of the human being himself.
What counts now is a human-centered view: on the one hand, in terms of the change of the work situation, on the other hand, in terms of the way our senses perceive and function. Which technologies have the potential to support people in their work in a meaningful way in the short and long term? Which methods and design principles are suitable for designing multimodal systems in a way that they support people instead of overburdening them?
Take a look with us at future work situations and application contexts. We present human-centered process models based on service design, which enable the successful development of smart industrial applications and holistically interactive ecosystems in an industrial context.
Quo vadis, Student? Berufsorientierung für angehende UX Designer (World Usabi...Ergosign GmbH
Beim World Usability Day 2014 geht es um „Engagement“.
