1. Position: Transaction Manager

Reports to: Head, Mortgage Transaction Management

Position overview:
The Transaction Manager is part of the Mortgage Group within UBS Wealth Management Banking. The Transaction Manager is
responsible for supporting all non-deal structure related issues and may lead the effort in developing custom mortgage solutions
as necessary in management escalated transactions.
He/She is the champion for the issue and owns all internal coordination to ensure that the most suitable solution is presented to
clients when possible. The individual in this role partners with Financial Advisors, Field Leadership, members of the Banking and
mortgage leadership teams and Credit Risk Management to create suitable solutions for clients. The TM is also responsible for
overseeing the pipeline of clients in process to ensure that all receive a positive client experience. The individual in this role will
also work closely with members of the fulfillment support team at our processing partner, Transaction Managers, Client
Experience Managers, and UBS Bank USA to ensure that these transactions receive the appropriate level of attention and are
completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Key competencies and responsibilities include:
• Work with clients, Financial Advisors, Mortgage and Banking Product Specialists to properly assess client needs
• Work with appropriate internal and external parties to gather information necessary to solve issues and properly
communicate those terms with all process stakeholders
• Work closely with members of the fulfillment support team at our processing partner, Tampa Branch AG underwriting
team and UBS Bank USA to ensure that these transactions receive the appropriate level of attention and are completed in
a timely and efficient manner
• Possess a strong client service orientation and prior experience in Private Banking/Private Wealth Management lending.
• Possess prior experience in residential mortgage lending with a strong knowledge of jumbo/super-jumbo lending.
• Be meticulous in follow-up, possess exceptional organization/prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple competing
priorities.
• Responsible for supporting all non-deal structure related issues, and have the ability to analyze complex loan scenarios and
develop custom-tailored solutions to meet the needs of clients
• Engage necessary parties to achieve positive results. Examples of typical escalations/issues:
o Complaints about individuals supporting
leads/loans
o Calls that come into Executive Team's office
o Pipeline reviews & Process / turn time frustrations
o Call monitoring / calibration and reviews
o Apology letter reviews / tracking
• Manage pipeline for UBS mortgage
• Coordinate day-to-day activities and loan requirements with outsourced mortgage fulfillment partner
• Monitor and execute incoming requests in a timely manner
• Interact across multiple stakeholders and interested parties
• Protect the firm from financial, reputational and operational risk through proper diligence of complex client financial
scenarios
Skills/ Qualifications (i.e. Years of experience, licenses, leadership skills):
• Ability to quickly develop internal relationships and gain a solid understanding of the UBS Private Wealth
Management business
• Minimum of 8 years credit & loan structuring experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Complete understanding of residential mortgage loan origination and underwriting process
• Excellent organizational and negotiation skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients and multiple levels within UBS organization
• Demonstrated ability to influence others and drive change/improvement across processes
• Demonstrated prior experience in residential mortgage lending with a strong knowledge of jumbo/ super-jumbo and
structured lending
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively within a rapidly changing environment
