Secondary research is when you use information already gathered by other people often 
available in books, internet and magazines.

 information you have found may be out of date 
 not all the information you find on the internet will be correct 
Quantitative research is about asking people for their opinions in an organized way 
so that you can produce hard facts and statistics to guide you. It's important to 
survey people in fairly large numbers and to make sure they are a representative 
sample of your target market.

Pros  easy to do  quick and cheap  get the specific information you want  lead the person to give you more information Cons  may not get accurate answers  can take a long time  difficult to get a large sample Secondary research is when you use information already gathered by other people often available in books, internet and magazines. Pros  quick and easy to find information  available at no cost  wide range of information available Cons  information you have found may be out of date  not all the information you find on the internet will be correct Quantitative research is about asking people for their opinions in an organized way so that you can produce hard facts and statistics to guide you. It's important to survey people in fairly large numbers and to make sure they are a representative sample of your target market.
