We will finalize projects where students chose a topic to teach and will present to the class, using materials like computers, smartphones, and any materials needed for their presentations. I will evaluate what the students have learned about expository essays through their presentations, in which they will teach their topic using what they have written as a guideline.

Assure method day 5
I am reviewing expository essay writing with my 9th grade English class of 23 students. We will finalize projects where students chose a topic to teach and will present to the class, using materials like computers, smartphones, and any materials needed for their presentations. I will evaluate what the students have learned about expository essays through their presentations, in which they will teach their topic using what they have written as a guideline.
Assure method day 4
The teacher will review how to write conclusions for expository essays with 23 9th grade students using a Glogster poster and Pinterest pins as examples. Students will then write their own conclusions for an essay project using computers, smartphones, and online resources like Glogster and Pinterest to cater to different learning styles. The teacher will evaluate the conclusions to provide feedback for revision.
Assure method day 3
The teacher will teach 9th grade students how to write body paragraphs for an expository essay. Students will use smartphones and computers to research body paragraph structure on Pinterest and complete a web quest. The teacher will demonstrate body paragraph examples using a smart board and phones. Students will then write their own body paragraphs and complete the web quest for homework if needed. The teacher will evaluate students based on their written body paragraphs and web quest completion.

The teacher will teach 9th graders how to write an introduction for an expository essay. They will use a GoAnimate cartoon, Pinterest pins, and a podcast to engage visual, auditory, and hands-on learners. Students will then work individually or in groups to research and begin writing their own introductions, which the teacher will evaluate for understanding.
Assure method day 2
The teacher will teach 9th grade students how to write an introduction for an expository essay. They will watch an animated video on introductions and research examples on Pinterest. Then the class will split up to begin writing their own introductions or continue researching for their projects at home, guided by a podcast on pre-writing steps. The teacher will evaluate the students by having them complete their introductions.

- 1. Twitter @CI350class - First of all, there were many tweets about Venezuela on 3/2/2014 about the Oscars. Also, it was interesting to see all the tweets about hiking and biking. I love to get out and do things like that and since I’m not from the area I looked at that and got an idea of where it is safe. Towards April there were more tweets for things for class. Like social media and blogs. I really like the idea of being able to share different things in education that a teacher can use. - @NHMS_Principal - Eric Sheninger tweeted a lot of different tools for teachers to use. I feel that this is very beneficial to teachers all over the world but really for the teachers in his school. He wants to help them be better. He also had tweets about this going on in his district to keep people updated and reminded them of elections for education. He seems to be very involved and wants the district and community to be involved as well.
- 2. @DanielPink - Many of Daniel’s tweets were about global issues that he was trying to share. From taxis in Japan to positions on a court case in Ohio, he wanted people to get involved and know things that are going on. Some of his tweets were fun like “How Starbucks uses its secret menu to build buzz”. He had a wide variety of topics that he tweeted or retweeted. @cyberteacher - Stephanie mainly used her twitter for educational tweets. She followed a lot of conference things and Discovery Education. She didn’t tweet a lot herself but mainly retweeted things for teachers. Like organization tools and a lot for teach appreciation week.
- 3. @gcouros - The first neat thing I noticed is that George and another person I followed, Eric, communicate with each other. I don’t know if they actually know each other but it just goes to show how twitter can work in globalization. Their share different ideas on education. He had a lot of helpful information. -
