ANCIENT EGYPT
The Ancient Egypt started since 3000 B.C
approximately with the unification under the
pharaoh Narmer. Had several stages: the Old
Kingdom in which the pyramids of Giza were
built( 3000 until 2000 B.C)
The Middle Kingdom( 2000 until 1800 B.C)
The New Kingdom( 1500 until 1000 BC) in which
Tutankhamun lived
And the Late Dynastic Period that took to Greek
and Roman conquest( 700 until 31 B.C)
Antonio Lora Barroso
ANCIENT EGYPT
There were Upper and Lower Egypt
The capital was Memphis at first and then there
was Thebes
The Nile Valley was flooded and the pleasants
took advantage of this to plant the crop.
Aurora María Díaz Santos
THE PYRAMIDS
-The pyramids of Egypt were the funerary
monuments of the pharaohs,
-There were gigantic monuments, and it was
rumored that had been built by aliens.
-The Egyptians used them to bury the pharaohs
using them from the grave.
Jose Manuel Moreno Maeso
THE PYRAMIDS
● In the pyramids of Egypt there were
tombs of the pharaohs.
● Traps so that people do not enter to
steal the treasures.
● Chambers of kings and treasures.

TUTANKHAMUN
Tutankhamun was the son of Akhenaten,
at birth he was named Tutanjaton, a
name that reflects the astonished beliefs
of his father. His father's mummy is
believed to be the one found in the tomb
KV55. His mother was one of
Akhenaten's sisters. It has been
suggested that Tutankhamun's mother
was Meketaten, the second daughter of
Akhenaten and Nefertiti, based on a relief
from the Royal Tomb in Amarna showing
a child in the arms of a nanny next to a
room where her parents and brothers are
mourning Meketaten, thus implying that
she has died in childbirth.
By: Nuria.
The results indicated that her father
was the mummy of the KV55,
identified as Akhenaten, and that her
mother was the Young Lady of the
KV35 tomb, who turned out to be her
husband's sister.
He came to the throne at the age of
eight and died in 1324 B.C. at the age
of 19. She had two children, but both
were stillborn. The two fetuses were
found next to her, in her grave. With
Tutankhamun ended the most
powerful dynasty of rulers in ancient
Egypt, and the golden age of the
pharaohs.

Summary Chapters 1-4
King Akhenaten is dead and nine-year-old Tutankhamun becomes the pharaoh
of Egypt. Queen Kiya is worried because Tut is too young to take on the
responsibilities of a pharaoh. After the coronation, Tutankhamun moves to
Memphis. There, he begins his studies with Ay, his father’s chief advisor.
Tutankhamun becomes friendly with Ankhesenamun and Rami. Rami is jealous
of Tut’s luxurious life and beautiful toys. Horemheb often comes to the palace
and watches Tutankhamun. He thinks he is weak and foolish. A trainer comes
to the palace to teach Tut to fight. On the first day of his lessons, Tut overhears
Horemheb complain about him to his trainer. The boy tries to hit Horemheb and
Horemheb throws him against a wall. Tut is ill for a week, but he recovers and
learns to be a good fighter.
Tutankhamun coronation ( recreation )
Summary Chapters 5-7
At age 17, Tutankhamun married Ankhesenamun. Now, the young king can fight
and ride a chariot. He also participates in government meetings and is very
popular with the people. Horemheb still thinks Tut is weak and foolish, and Rami is
jealous of him because he also loves Ankhesenamun. After the wedding
ceremony, Tutankhamun takes Ankhesenamun on a tour of the country. While
they’re away, Horemheb asks Rami to help him kill Tut. Rami agrees to do it for a
lot of money. One day, when Rami is alone in the stable, he removes the peg from
the wheel of Tut’s chariot so the wheel will fall off when the chariot goes fast.
Tutankamon and his wife
Summary Chapters 8-9
The royal couple return and Tut is very busy, but Ankhesenamun is bored. One day, she
takes Tut’s chariot and goes for a ride in the desert. Later, Tut rides into the desert to
meet his wife. At the moment he sees her, her horses see a snake and begin to run. Tut
chases after the horses to rescue Ankhesenamun and he jumps onto one of the horses.
The wheel of the chariot falls onto the ground and Tut’s horse falls on his leg. Tut and
Ankhesenamun are badly injured. Ankhesenamun recovers, but Tut dies. He’s only 18
years old. His tomb isn’t ready, so Horemheb persuades Ay to put him in his own smaller
tomb. Ay is suspicious about Tutankhamun’s death and decides they must question
Rami. But Horemheb assures Ay it was an accident.

Summary Chapters 10-12
Ay becomes the new pharaoh because he is Ankhesenamun’s grandfather. Horemheb and the
army leave to fight the Nubians. Rami is now an important officer in the army. Horemheb doesn’t
trust him, so he sends him on a dangerous mission and the Nubians kill him. Horemheb returns
to Egypt. He is now a hero and asks for Ankhesenamun’s hand in marriage. Ay agrees to the
marriage reluctantly and forces his granddaughter to marry Horemheb. Ankhesenamun
disappears after the ceremony, and nobody sees her again. Ay dies of a broken heart and
Horemheb becomes pharaoh. He erases Tut’s name from the great Book of Pharaohs, so nobody
will remember him. Eventually, he uses the tomb originally intended for Tut. People forget King
Tut for thousands of years, but in 1922, an English archeologist discovered his tomb and
everybody wants to know about the young pharaoh.
Tutankhamun's tomb
Tutankhamun used to be a political and he used to govern egypt.
Tutankhamun used to live in Amarna.
Tutankhamun used to live with his mother Akhenaton.
One day in Tutankhamun’s life
After the wedding ceremony the celebrations began.Tutankhamun and his wife
sat on a throne and servants brought them food and vine, the royal musicians
played and there were dancers in colorful costumes.Tutankhamun was the
happiest person in Egypt.
After wedding celebrations Tutankhamun and his wife Ankhesenamun travel
along the River Nile in the royal boat.
Tutankhamun’s wedding day
Tutankamon became king at 8 years old, and he died at a very young age, 18.
We didn’t know how did Tut died, but we know that he was mummified and bury
with some other kings. According to the discoverers, Tut died unexpectedly,
because its tomb wasn’t completed.
Tut’s funeral
The discovers think Tutankhamun was buried in some part of the ancient egypt
but they don’t know exactly where. But they know when he dies, in 1324 a.c.
before his murder.
Tut’s funeral
We know a great deal about his burial as details of it are painted on the wall of his
burial chamber. The death of the young King Tut was untimely and unexpected.
His tomb had to be prepared hastily. King Tut died in 1325BC and his funeral
would have occurred about 70 days later after the embalming and mummification
process and death rituals had been completed.
Tut’s funeral
His grave was discovered approximately 100 years ago, in the
Valley of the Kings, in Egypt. It soon became one of the great
discoveries, because next to it there were personal objects
and jewelry. After investigating, it was discovered that he had
died at age 19.

  • 10. TUTANKHAMUN Tutankhamun was the son of Akhenaten, at birth he was named Tutanjaton, a name that reflects the astonished beliefs of his father. His father's mummy is believed to be the one found in the tomb KV55. His mother was one of Akhenaten's sisters. It has been suggested that Tutankhamun's mother was Meketaten, the second daughter of Akhenaten and Nefertiti, based on a relief from the Royal Tomb in Amarna showing a child in the arms of a nanny next to a room where her parents and brothers are mourning Meketaten, thus implying that she has died in childbirth. By: Nuria. The results indicated that her father was the mummy of the KV55, identified as Akhenaten, and that her mother was the Young Lady of the KV35 tomb, who turned out to be her husband's sister. He came to the throne at the age of eight and died in 1324 B.C. at the age of 19. She had two children, but both were stillborn. The two fetuses were found next to her, in her grave. With Tutankhamun ended the most powerful dynasty of rulers in ancient Egypt, and the golden age of the pharaohs.
