Ericsson Technology Review: Flexibility in 5G transport networks: the key to ...Ericsson
http://www.ericsson.com/thecompany/our_publications/ericsson_technology_review
The more people have been able to achieve while on the move, the more dependent society has become on mobile broadband networks. As applications like self-driving vehicles and remotely operated machinery evolve, become more innovative, and more widespread, the level of performance that 5G networks need to deliver will inevitably rise. Keeping pace with ever-increasing demand calls for greater flexibility in all parts of the network, which in turn requires tight integration between 5G radio, transport networks, and cloud infrastructures.
WiFi Offload Strategy for Telcos-OperatorsGreen Packet
Given the increase in the number of permutations of device and content available out there, a move towards web-based cloud solutions will inevitably form the need for more mobility and efficiency in delivery. This paper will discuss the implications of the emergence of multifunction, multi-radio systems and multiplatform application and services that are driving forward seamless mobility in the pretext of “now” that allows users to transparently access network connections and ensure session persistence across varied connections for consistent experience together.
Multimode, The Key Ingredient For Ubiquitous ConnectivityGreen Packet
Users today are demanding ubiquitous connectivity, an ultimatum the industry still struggles to achieve. The good news is that there are positive developments in this direction through the evolution towards multimode as far as networks and devices are concerned. However, what is lacking is the absence of a mechanism that unifies multiple networks and devices for a seamless
experience. This paper discusses the mechanism required to think on behalf of networks and devices so that users enjoy a truly ubiquitous connectivity.

Managing Data Offloading Securely Over WLan Access Networks With I-WLanGreen Packet
Cellular operators are increasingly shifting their focus for alternative wireless access methods to manage data offload. Legacy cellular networks were designed for low bandwidth consumption and insufficient to cope with the growth of data requirements today. Although operators continuously upgrade their networks with greater capacity and advanced technologies, heavy investments for cell build is not an economical approach in the longer term.
The availability of Wi-Fi hotspots are highly accessible and appropriate for data offloading. Taking advantage of the unlicensed spectrum and better bandwidth utilization, data offloading can be achieved with lower cost per bit. In this paper, we present I-WLAN to effectively manage data offloading securely between 3GPP and non-3GPP networks. We will also be exploring the different network use scenarios of I-WLAN in enabling simple unified EAP authentication and subscriber policies.
Communicating Public Transport in India Kumar Manish
Public Transport in India needs to be communicated & marketed well to all the stakeholders to create its acceptability and uses. New public transport systems like BRTS are poorly communicated with no communications & marketing plan in place. In addition to great bus infrastructure, soft aspects of branding, communications & marketing needs to be prioritized & promoted.

On demand web services for users of Munich´s public transport systemChris Bleuel
Mobility is a vital part of human life. Mobility needs apparent in different ways by e.g. individual traffic, local public means of transport, or mixed systems like going by train combined with bike- or car-sharing.
Individual traffic in particular causes major environment problems and problems of traffic congestion especially in urban areas. Strengthening public transport is often favored, but this preference is not reflected in the number of local transport users. There is space for more effectiveness!
This phenomenon can be explained by the fact that a central problem involved in local public transport usage is its complexity. The need is to improve the amount of real time information and to transform it into a accessibly on demand service.
Chris Bleuel presents solutions and strategies including real time information and ticketing for a mobile support system of Munich‘s local public transport system. The presentation shows transfer solutions between public static information and personalised and on demand information.

How do branding and service design fit together? While one concept manages expectations, the other manages experiences. Combining both approaches allows creating brand experience for the benefit of customers as well as for companies. The concept of ‘Brand Services’ are “give-away services” that address relevant user needs and at the same time convey a brand message. In this talk and hands-on exercise, Christian Vatter shows how creating value for people and promoting business goes hand-in-hand.
Christian Vatter is user psychologist and brand consultant. He founded Rlevance Consulting, a human centered business consultancy with a specialty in creating meaningful brands and value-adding customer experiences. In his work he often combines service design with branding techniques to create sustainable bonds with customers. He wrote various articles on this topic and speaks at international conferences.
This is the presentation I shared at our (space150's) Deepspace event on Modern Brand Building. Dion Hughes of Persuasion Arts & Sciences and Adrian Ho of Zeus Jones shared some excellent thoughts on this topic of well (search for their presentations here too). Campaigning isn't quite the right term for what I was trying to say, but some good discussion followed the presentation, so it wasn't totally off. I'll be working to improve this, so if you have any thoughts, please share.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.
