VI Rationale:
Leadership training is a very significant strategy in
developing and enhancing the student leaders’ skills and
governance. It is therefore one of the vital roles of a certain
university to conduct student leaders’ training or seminar
workshop for them to understand better of being a leader; thus,
this training is designed and with the theme “ Inspiring student
leaders for effective leadership” Hence, the main purpose of
this training is to understand each of the student leaders’
roles and responsibilities, to strengthen their abilities as
student leaders, to develop their character of positive thinking
and to become a good model to their fellow students.
This seminar workshop is a good way to discover their ways
and characters as student leaders and to inspire them to
continue of becoming good leaders to their organizations that
they lead and govern.
VII Objectives:
This seminar workshop is designed for the participants to:
1. Enhance knowledge and skills on the fundamentals
Parliamentary Rules and Procedures in the conduct of
meeting.
2. Develop their skill in writing a resolution and minutes of
the meeting.
3. Understand the values and significances of leadership.
4. Develop their speaking skill most especially in delivering
speech in public.

5. Apply the principles learned in lecture session thru a
workshop.
IX Project Activity Description:
1. This seminar workshop will be participated by the College
and secondary student leaders all from the SDSSU –Cagwait
Campus, SSG, Department officers, VLP officers, Classroom
officers, and outdoor participants of the local high
schools in both public and private from President to
secretary only and together with their respective advisers.
2. The budget of this seminar – workshop will be taken from
the SSG funds in this campus and the P 500 pesos
registration fee of each outdoor participant.
3. The workshop will be manned by the two distinguished
resource speakers.
4. Expected participants are 15 SSG officers, 9 department
officers, 6 club officers, 3 VLP officers while the outdoor
participants (may depend on the attendance on the
activity).
