The document describes a mobile app created for a college's Training and Placement Cell. The app aims to provide students and management easy access to information on trainings, placements, companies and study materials. It includes sections for news, student directory, CRT materials, gallery, achievements and a query section. Students can stay updated on activities and download resources for preparation. The app interface was designed to be intuitive with navigation drawer and sections like About Us, News Feed and Ask Query were included to address the shortcomings of existing systems.

3. Introduction
 Mobile devices these days have gradually become more powerful and
distributive, influencing our daily lives on a larger scale. Android, which
has proven to be one among the best mobile-based application
development platforms provides the developers with many APIs and
tools for the development of Android applications.
 We intend to develop one as such for the “Training & Placement cell”
of our college and make it accessible to all the students. It includes
notifications and regular updates about the cell along with the list of
students selected for companies, events and activities, training
schedules, placement information, company information, CRT material
discussion forums etc., which would provide ease to both the
management and the students as well.

4. Purpose Of The Project
Main aim in developing Training And Placement Cell Application is to
provide an easy and effective way to college management so that they
providing information about all activities related to trainings and
placements and also to all the students so that they always remain
updated. These activities includes-
 Latest news regarding any training schedule like aptitude trainings,
technical trainings etc.
 Details of companies like company type, profile of the company, their
requirements , interview dates etc.
 Students can search for the study material required for the selection process
such as aptitude books, technical books , reasoning etc and links to various
websites for placement papers.
 Students can post their queries if they have any problem regarding anything.

5. Existing System And Its
Drawbacks
The current application available might be well furnished in all the
functionalities but they lack the user-friendly GUI and also lacks some
necessary features which should be present in the app.
In order to overcome shortcomings in existing application we modified a lot
of features and implemented additional functionalities such as-
 We implemented “Query Section” wherein any student can post their
problem regarding any placement activities.
 We added CRT section in which logged in students can download and
find study material like aptitude books , technical books , any many
other resources which will be helpful during their placements.
 We kept GUI as simple as possible with good look and feel than it was
in previous app.

6. Advantages Of The
Proposed System
 Students will remain updated regarding all training schedules and
placement activities by timely notifications and news feed section.
 preparation so that Students can download and use all the study
resources added by placement officer for placement preparations from
CRT section of the app. With this option preparation for placements
becomes easy.
 Students can know about company details through the details provided
by Placement officer.
 Students can post any query regarding placements in Query section of
the app.
