It is automatic gatepass management system for hostel students. It eliminate manual work daily done by hostel warden.

2. ABSTRACT
The project “Gate Pass Management System” is to
record the hostel students in-out details using web
based application. This system assist the warden to
manage all the hostel student details.

3. PROBLEM STATEMENT
 Web based application “Gate Pass Management System” is to
record the details of gate pass information of all the students
who are staying in the hostels.
 If a student were need a gate pass from the warden, the student
to send the request to the warden with the necessary details.
 The project gives the report details about gate pass information

4. WHY WE NEED THIS PROJECT?
 Initially the student get the approval from the respective departments and
warden. Once if it is approved by the warden, the gate pass will be issued.
Finally the gate pass is filled and approved by the warden.
 Due to unavailability of the faculty members and in-charges, may the above
process may be interrupted.
 The above process consumes more time consumption
 Its very difficult to generate the report because of manual work
 The details may have any mistakes due to the manual work

5. PROPOSED SYSTEM
 The main goal this system is to reduce paper work which is daily
done by hostel warden at college level with the use of web based
gate pass management system.
 If a student were need a gate pass from the warden, the student
should have send request to the warden with necessary details.
 The in-charges have rights to accept or reject based on reason. If
the warden accept the request, the students can check whether
their gate pass is approved or rejected in their login .

24. CONCLUSION
The Gate Pass Management System is a web application
which main aim to protect hostel students .It stores the entry
and exit of students in the database and admin can access the
data at anytime. The database has records and safety major of
records. Finally we successfully created the web application
for our hostel to protect the students.
