This document describes a traffic controller project using an 8085 microprocessor. The project uses LEDs connected to the 8085 via an 8255 PPI to control the lights for north, east, west, and south traffic. Software is used to control the traffic light sequence. The 8085 microprocessor is interfaced with the LEDs and 7-segment displays through I/O mapping on ports A and B of the 8255 PPI. Programming is done in RAM using assembly language on the 8085 microprocessor kit. The traffic controller provides a model for controlling red, green, and yellow lights without manual operation.
