Digital marketing is changing due to new technologies and consumer behaviors. Traditional marketing methods are no longer as effective, and a digital agile approach is needed. This involves engaging in conversations, continuously optimizing campaigns in real-time based on analytics, and proposing the right products to the right consumers at the right time. It requires prioritizing interactions, running applications continuously, collaborating with customers, and being responsive to changes.
This presentation covers how organisations should approach a new digital project such as a web portal, system or mobile app (or combination of all) while considering the brand strategy, marketing or growth hacking approach and technology. The keynote examines the principles of a strategy and different methodologies for the product/project production such as agile, sashimi waterfall, lean and user centred design (UCD). The deck then delves into how to write a concise brief, how to go about resourcing and pick a technology platform or framework (such as Laravel or Ruby on Rails). The presentation covers how great design and project management is fundamental to success and why the design heuristics are so important. Finally the presentation also mentions why PM tools like JIRA, basecamp and Trello are important.
The document defines multimedia as media that combines different content forms such as text, audio, images, animation and video. Creating a new sea story - a first aid kit for ocean communicationsCharityComms
The document discusses creating effective communication strategies for raising awareness about ocean conservation. It recommends establishing that the ocean has health, showing how human health is connected, communicating past harms, focusing on solutions and stewardship, being creative, and repeating key messages. The Marine CoLAB aims to cultivate public understanding of ocean systems and solutions through collaboration, experimentation, and framing issues around shared values. Their "changing health" story and reframing the ocean as the planet's body or climate's heart are presented as promising communication approaches.
This document summarizes trends affecting charities and nonprofit organizations. It discusses how the COVID-19 pandemic may accelerate changes to flexible working arrangements. Younger generations are having different views of charities that organizations need to understand. While Brexit continues to impact politics, charities must work to build relationships with new MPs and consider how to engage Conservative voters. Mental health and environmental issues are rising up public and political agendas. Charities are experimenting with pop-up events and spoken word audio to engage new audiences.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
