Community Car (Cc) is a proposed transportation service for elderly individuals that would also serve as a job training program for former offenders. Cc aims to reduce traffic accidents involving elderly drivers by providing them transportation alternatives. It would train former offenders to become certified drivers through a state-mandated program, allowing them to work off fines and fees. This would create a skilled labor force for elder care while improving public safety and saving taxpayer dollars. Insurance companies would subsidize the program since it would lower their accident claims costs. The founder argues Cc could be replicated across states to address the growing needs of the elderly population and reform the criminal justice system.

AT&T, along with state representatives, AAA, and the Ohio Highway Patrol urged Ohio drivers to pledge to never text and drive again as part of AT&T's "It Can Wait" campaign. At a Hilliard Bradley High School assembly, they announced over 1 million pledges have been made nationally. Students viewed a documentary on lives lost to texting while driving and experienced a distracted driving simulator. The campaign aims to educate drivers, especially teenagers, on the dangers of texting while driving through various initiatives like ads, social media, and providing no-texting tools to schools. A survey found most teens know texting is dangerous but still see their friends and parents do it.
Venmo is a peer-to-peer payment app owned by PayPal. It allows users to transfer money to friends and pay merchants. Venmo makes money by charging a 3% fee on credit card transactions and a 2.9% fee to merchants that accept Venmo payments. In 2018, Venmo processed $62 billion in payments, up 79% from the previous year. While Venmo brought in $200 million in revenue in 2018, it is still not profitable as it had $40 million in fraud losses in early 2018. However, Venmo is growing rapidly and aims to process $100 billion in payments by the end of 2019.

Every 39 minutes someone is killed by a drunk driver. Designated Drivers offers a service to drive patrons home in their own cars if they are too intoxicated to drive themselves. Founded in 2007, Designated Drivers provides this service in certain areas of Denver from Thursday to Sunday evenings, charging by mile to ensure patrons can get home safely without driving under the influence.
This past March, Ontario implemented a new law in hopes of deterring drivers from being distracted by their cell phone devices while behind the wheel of a car. Under this new legislation, judges in Ontario now have the ability to charge those distracted driving between $300 and $1,000 and assign three demerit points.

The method of finding disparity between the networks of public transit and daily interest are measured by overlaying the metric and graphic information. By drawing comparison between the metric and graphic space of vulnerabilities, the disjuncture between the traffic network’s proximity to destination and physical organization and road network on site can be seen as a cause for failure. By understanding the higher risks involved from transit, this analysis creates a hypothetical scene to quantify who and what geographic regions are at risk when it comes to finding medical safety. People who are traveling beyond the four-mile radius is cross more at-risk road intersections due to the increased number or others with the same destination point.

The speaker discusses corruption in Jamaica and calls on citizens to take responsibility in addressing it. Some key points:
- Corruption is perceived as a serious problem in Jamaica according to surveys, though the scale may not be as large as in some other countries.
- Lack of trust in government and between citizens is undermining the economy, as it increases transaction costs and discourages business activity.
- While leadership failures have contributed to corruption, citizens must also change their own behaviors and demand accountability.
- National pride remains strong in Jamaica despite issues, and citizens want the country to succeed if problems are addressed. Everyone must play a role through open debate and collective solutions.
Why Was The Government Asked To Restrict Young Drivers Carrying Passengers?Media Blog 2021
Should teenage drivers be restrained whilst sporting passengers for a duration after passing their check?
It’s a query that’s been posed to the Commons Transport Select Committee through street safety charity Brake – which claims younger drivers appearing as “taxi drivers” for his or her pals directly contributes to a critical twist of fate.
Texting while driving is extremely dangerous and distracting, requiring drivers to take their eyes off the road for seconds at a time which can equate to driving the length of a football field at highway speeds. Studies show that texting drivers require 70 more feet than undistracted drivers to brake and have reaction times similar to 70 year olds, with steering ability reduced by 91%. Each year over 6,000 deaths and half a million injuries are caused by texting and driving, with teens being especially at risk due to inexperience and increased erratic driving while distracted. While many states have banned texting and driving, further restrictions may be needed as fatal accidents continue rising each year.
The document presents a business plan for a scooter taxi service to transport intoxicated individuals home safely. It provides an overview of the business, including market research showing a need for the service. Survey results found most people would pay above taxi rates for this service. The plan outlines the management structure, financial projections, marketing strategies, competitors, and risks/opportunities of the proposed business.
Risk & Reward and the Greed is Good Grid John P Dawson
Are corporate cheats using our Greed is Good Grid to decide how to blindside risk management systems? What's happening to ethical leadership and positive Risk Culture?
Female drivers have traditionally received cheaper car insurance quotes than male drivers, due to statistics showing that young male drivers are more likely to get into accidents. However, a new gender equality ruling from the European Court of Justice means insurers can no longer set premiums based on gender. As a result, while insurance costs for women have risen somewhat to equalize rates, premiums for men have not decreased significantly. Some insurers that focus solely on women's policies may benefit from this new ruling as their customer base will now be paying higher rates. To get the most competitive insurance rates regardless of gender, drivers should ensure their car has security features and consider telematics policies that can lower premiums based on safe driving habits.

This document discusses the dangers of drunk driving through statistics, campaigns against it, and proposals to toughen laws. It notes that despite current laws and awareness campaigns, arrests for drunk driving have not decreased. It proposes toughening laws by increasing fines, adding mandatory imprisonment for repeat offenders, requiring ignition interlock devices, and permanently revoking licenses for third time offenders. These changes aim to more strongly deter drunk driving and prevent recidivism. While various groups have worked to educate people, campaigns are deemed ineffective at curbing the problem. The conclusion emphasizes that drunk driving can have severe consequences and individuals should think of others when making the choice to drive impaired.

Writing an effective brief - Panteion University, Ad & PR LabLina Kiriakou
Writing a brief: how to ask your client for the information you need on a project and how this can be translated to an effective creative brief to your agency
A keynote presentation by Burson-Marsteller Regional MD Chrissy Jones to the annual FROCOMM PR conference in Sydney [www.frocomm.com.au]. The conference focussed on media – both traditional and digital/on-line – and how we can achieve success in the rapidly evolving digital media environment; and on crisis communications.
PR agencies and clients now face new market challenges that require more strategic communication briefs linked to clear business objectives. Specifically, agencies must better integrate digital communication and focus on brand PR, while clients need to provide smarter briefs that specify simple, measurable objectives with direct impact on key business issues. An example brief focuses on generating backlinks to address a business problem of acquiring many buyers through organic search.
The document outlines the key components of an effective public relations (PR) brief, including: establishing the bigger picture by outlining the commercial and communication objectives; identifying the job to be done by the category/brand; understanding the target audience's attitudes, behaviors, and cultural trends; assessing the competitive context by differentiating the brand; and providing brand assets, approved claims, risk considerations, integration details, timeline, and budget. The brief is intended to communicate all essential information needed to tell an organization's story through PR strategies and tactics.

There are three factors to consider in any PR project: speed, quality, and price. You can only optimize two of the three. It is important to balance the needs of both the agency and the client. Clear communication of objectives is essential. Any PR project should have a written plan that outlines the budget, objectives, and expected results.

To help you improve SBO customer experience — and as a result, acquisition, retention and revenue — we recently surveyed 500 U.S. small business principals. The findings are instructive; there are some great learnings on what SBOs want from their bank – and how they feel about your company.

1. Auto-enrolment will be successful in getting more people enrolled in pensions, but simply enrolling them is not enough - people need to understand why saving for retirement is important and how to save adequate amounts.
2. While employers will need to provide minimum information to employees about auto-enrolment, they should consider going beyond this with financial education programs to encourage higher contribution rates.
3. Communicating the importance of retirement savings and options for increasing contributions will be important to prevent people from thinking the low auto-enrolment rates are sufficient and to avoid potential opt-outs. Ongoing education can help maximize the benefits

Suzanne Lagerweij - Influence Without Power - Why Empathy is Your Best Friend...Suzanne Lagerweij
This is a workshop about communication and collaboration. We will experience how we can analyze the reasons for resistance to change (exercise 1) and practice how to improve our conversation style and be more in control and effective in the way we communicate (exercise 2).
This session will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
Abstract:
Let’s talk about powerful conversations! We all know how to lead a constructive conversation, right? Then why is it so difficult to have those conversations with people at work, especially those in powerful positions that show resistance to change?
Learning to control and direct conversations takes understanding and practice.
We can combine our innate empathy with our analytical skills to gain a deeper understanding of complex situations at work. Join this session to learn how to prepare for difficult conversations and how to improve our agile conversations in order to be more influential without power. We will use Dave Gray’s Empathy Mapping, Argyris’ Ladder of Inference and The Four Rs from Agile Conversations (Squirrel and Fredrick).
In the session you will experience how preparing and reflecting on your conversation can help you be more influential at work. You will learn how to communicate more effectively with the people needed to achieve positive change. You will leave with a self-revised version of a difficult conversation and a practical model to use when you get back to work.
Come learn more on how to become a real influencer!
Carrer goals.pptx and their importance in real lifeartemacademy2
Career goals serve as a roadmap for individuals, guiding them toward achieving long-term professional aspirations and personal fulfillment. Establishing clear career goals enables professionals to focus their efforts on developing specific skills, gaining relevant experience, and making strategic decisions that align with their desired career trajectory. By setting both short-term and long-term objectives, individuals can systematically track their progress, make necessary adjustments, and stay motivated. Short-term goals often include acquiring new qualifications, mastering particular competencies, or securing a specific role, while long-term goals might encompass reaching executive positions, becoming industry experts, or launching entrepreneurial ventures.
Moreover, having well-defined career goals fosters a sense of purpose and direction, enhancing job satisfaction and overall productivity. It encourages continuous learning and adaptation, as professionals remain attuned to industry trends and evolving job market demands. Career goals also facilitate better time management and resource allocation, as individuals prioritize tasks and opportunities that advance their professional growth. In addition, articulating career goals can aid in networking and mentorship, as it allows individuals to communicate their aspirations clearly to potential mentors, colleagues, and employers, thereby opening doors to valuable guidance and support. Ultimately, career goals are integral to personal and professional development, driving individuals toward sustained success and fulfillment in their chosen fields.
