This document provides an overview of The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF). It describes TOGAF as a generic, process-driven conceptual tool for designing, evaluating, and building an enterprise architecture. The core parts of TOGAF that are discussed are the Architecture Development Method (ADM), which partitions architecture work into phases, and the architectural iterations of preliminary, vision, development, transition, governance, and implementation. Key elements covered include the architectural model, contexts, reference models, "as-is" and "to-be" states, and gap analysis.
Nilotpal Das analyzes a case of TOGAF implementation and explains the basics of enterprise architecture, including the details of the framework and standards set by The Open Group. He discusses various aspects of implementing these principles – including governance, compliance, and capability assessments.

3 things about EA that TOGAF doesnt saycccamericas
In the field of Enterprise Architecture, TOGAF is the world''s leading industry framework. But there are several important considerations to the practice of Enterprise Architecture that TOGAF leaves out. In this session by Michael Fulton, President of CC&C Americas, you will learn from one of the world''s leading TOGAF Certification trainers 3 things that TOGAF doesn't teach you about practicing Enterprise Architecture.
I used this presentation as an additional source to study for my TOGAF 9 exams. In the end I passed both y Level I and Level II exams. This might help you as well.

The latest version of the TOGAF standard has special emphasis on Business Architecture, Digital Trends, and Business Transformation beyond IT. Stuart Macgregor takes us through some of these changes to the TOGAF® 9.2 standard and discuss how they will benefit us.
This is a very short introduction to The Open Group Architecture Framework -- a framework for enterprise architecture. It is meant to provide an executive summary of what TOGAF is and also provide a few reasons why you should use it.

Improving Quality with Change ManagementKaren Maskell
Quality is like motherhood and apple pie: something that everyone can support. But ‐‐ as any mother will tell you ‐‐ that doesn't make it easy. And, as the world changes, the definition of quality is changing as well. Change and transformation are the emerging tools of quality. Leading organizations are listening to the voice of the customer and actively using this information to reinvent themselves to meet their customer’s increasing expectations. This increasing rate of change can have adverse consequences throughout the organization if not properly managed. This presentation identifies a model for change, explore best practices, and outline practical tips for getting started.

Togaf is a high level and holistic approach to design, which is typically modeled at four levels: business, application, data, and
technology. It tries to give a well-tested overall starting model to information architects, which can then be built upon. It relies heavily
on modularization, standardization, and already existing, proven technologies and products.

Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).

We are having RFP.

22. Architectural Implementation
Iteration
• Not given in TOGAF Documentation
• It is the part where we give the project to be
actually implemented by the vendor or the
outsourcer or our own development team.
• We can use tools like A10. One of the tool
to measure how well implementation is
occurring with the arch landscape I build.

Making café, no matter what process you go the ultimate goal is to make coffee.
We have two spaces 1)How & 2)What
All the building blocks of the TOGAF in its landscape sets around the two spaces. We really need to understand that separation.
IN TOGAF we have a bucket. Splitting into two i.e. architecture Continuum and a solution continuum. And method of building architecture that add building blocks and consumes building blocks to build an architectural Model at very high meta level structure.
TOGAF 9 has added new interesting concept content framework at the very bottom i.e. a metamodel what type of building blocks we need to build.
ABC Bank will be in organisation-specific Archi
Foundation: Tech Ref Model
CSA: IIIRM(ERP arch, Security arch, integration archi.)
Ind. Arch: SCOR. In actual these are our building model.
The companies like oracle or IBM will traditionally sell us this in the form capability model or “what” model.
Org. Arch: Ind. Arch Customized to form org. arch. Now we need to understand make our abc bank(any organisation) different from the other banks down the road.
Companies wont sell there process model i.e. the “how” model as those define there business edge.
The ref model is merely the collection of commonly used building blocks.
So we take the building blocks and cluster them together.
Making pools of them like information service layer, business service layer, composite service layer.
As u do more n more arch. U got pool of building block. TRM and IIIRM are the starting point of those collection.
