Camera light: This light attaches directly to the camera, it helps
brighten up any shadows that appear in the shot. They
specifically come in handy when you are producing a
documentary because you won’t have space to set up a three
point lighting set up.
Three-point lighting kit: If you are filming inside these lights crucial.
There are three light:
#1: This is the key light, it is the most powerful light and has the biggest
impact the scene.
#2: The fill light is placed opposite the key light. This is less bright than
the key light, to make sure that it is less bright it is usually placed further
away.
#3: The back light is put behind the object and shines light through the
rear. Its purpose is to provide definition and subtle highlights around the
subjects outlines. This avoids the subject blending into the background as
it gives the subject a three dimensional look, separating it completely.
Light Reflector: This tool helps manipulate the
light by providing another surface for the light
to bounce off of. Another benefit of using this
is that the quality of the light reflected will
match the quality of the light of the scene. If
the scene was set at a sun set the light being
reflected with have undertones of orange.
Jib crane: The camera is mounted on a crane,
and it is able to take a very high shot and then sweep down back to
the ground. They are difficult to pull off however they are highly
effective as they capture what is happening on the whole set rather
than just one section.
